This song has absolutely nothing to do with the fall from fame. Simon LeBon wrote it about the suicide death of his best friend in 1986. He's talking about the grief, shock, and loss he experienced after the death of his friend. He's remembering his friend, talking to him about how he's feeling, and trying to find his way back to an ordinary world that doesn't include a lifetime friend he loved like a brother.
I stand corrected. It just goes to show you can't believe everything you read on the internet 😉 That makes much more sense to me and gives it even more meaning. Thank you for the correction 🙂
Thank you Michael for taking the time to stop by and leave such a nice message 😊 I've always loved this song but I only recently got round to learning it. Hope you're doing fine? Greetings from Germany!
Thanks so much Amy 🙏 I really appreciate it 😊 Have a great weekend! P.S. The chords are mostly based on a more acoustic version/mix of the song by Duran Duran that I found on YT, with a few additions of my own. From there it was much easier to work out what they were playing. But I probably would have played it like that anyway 🤔
Beautiful version , your voice guitar playing are spot on,Simon Le Bons lyrics and Warren Cuccuru llo guitar arrangement is haunting, Warren does this song as an instrumental and he is amazing guitar player
Difficult to do because of the different chord shapes but here you go: Intro & chorus - B5 (play all 5 strings) / F#m7 ( I play this F# with thumb and open E) / Dsus2 / Asus2 (C# in bass) / E5 (play all 6 strings) - repeat chords and then replace E5 with Cadd9b5 (you can miss out b5 if necessary and just play Cadd9). Verse: C#m7 (open chord version on 4th fret) / E5 (play all 6 strings) - F#5 (7th fret open chord version - play all 5 strings) - play chords 4 times (every 2nd chord cycle I stick in an open F#7add4 but not necessary) / Bridge: C#m7 / G#m / D#7 / E5 (play all 5 strings). Hope that helps! :)

Ajustar os meios tons, de passagens, para não semitonar....... porem queria ter sua voz para cantar.
