Hello my friends. I've made a compilation of my DQ commercials I remember from my childhood and some other ones I like, including the famous Flamethrower Burger commercial. ENJOY!!!

Back in the 80's, I used to frequent DQ quite often. I used to go for the meal deal with the sundae. I really liked their burgers at the time.
this takes me back.. the logo and packaging was so much better than what it is now. I also remember dennis the menace on everything kids now probobly wouldn't even know what it was

Wow - here outside the United States (Texas) - we have completely different food and commercials. No hot dogs, but tacos and taco salad, steak fingers with cream gravy, the hunger buster. Some dq’s have breakfast. And a guy named bob phillips was the spokesman for years.
Looking at all that food from Dairy Queen is making me hungry 😋, especially the Chicken Strip Baskets, the Blizzards, and the frozen cakes, which I buy only for my birthday 🎂.
Haven't heard/seen the 1984 one in 34yrs! I remember it playing slower, though. Yeah! 😃Sitting at my dinning room table doing homework. Ghostbusters preview w/d play, too.
34 years, huh? I don't remember much about 1984, as I was a baby then (born in November of 83)
30SomethingDerpWoman (Erica) Don't know what you were missing! Well, sorta missing. It was still my 1st year of Jr. High School so life was still pretty exciting for me. Although, I'm sure some guy doing 20 to life in the big house would not have fond memories of Spring 1984.

Never tried Friendly's before, as I don't think WV has any. I'd like to try it tho.
30SomethingDerpWoman (Erica) Don't know if WV has any, Erica. They used to be all through-out OHIO, next door, though. They're closing down these days. Fewer & fewer. FRIENDLY'S are (& in some cases were) sit-down restaurants that serves(ed) everything & also had their own ice cream brand. You have (had) to be waited on. By cute waitresses. Which is delicious! You can still buy their ice cream in many stores.
Silly me! I forgot my DQ memory at DAIRY QUEEN. I remember, with some fondness, driving to a suburban DQ after putting-in some labor. I wouldn't get ice cream but I'd get a burger, fries & a soda-pop. Great after a hot, somewhat laborous day. ☺
I wasn't a burger-eating kid, but when they came out with the Treatmeal in 1991 and had chicken nuggets, I ate more than the ice cream then.
They did not do.that at the DQ here. But we had chicken fingers. The first time I had a DQ kids meal was Christmas 1995 and my mom and I were on our way back to Alabama from my father's in Orlando and we stopped at a gas station with a Dairy Queen in it and I got the kids meal. I was nine years old.
@@jwgreek8606 Oh! Yeah. There's a DQ in an office bld. near me. They serve chicken & French fries but not hamburgers. They don't have a full kitchen. The food I ordered bk in the day just happened to be 1 of DQ's specials. I more enjoyed just letting my hair down at that particular DQ.

I know. That's why I love em. Sure, there's a few good ones from the past 20 yrs(the flamethrower burger comes to mind), but nothing gets you wanting DQ more than these classics.

So great to see these vintage DQ commercials! The one I always remember, that I would love to see again, is one from the late 70's for DQ Sundaes.The end line was (something like) "And there may be some reflection, in regards to your selection, if it's as good as the one you almost bought"
I'd like to find it myself. I wasn't around in the late 70's, but it would be cool to check it out
Blizzards over Braums "mixes" any day! Sad there's only a couple left, they used to be everywhere. Braums was the redheaded stepchild, now they're where everyone goes to.
I just love all of Dairy Queen's peanut butter treats!

Does anybody remember DQ's "Dilly bar"? I used to think it was made with dill pickles.
No, it's because of the original mascot for the Dilly Bar, a little cowboy. Not sure of his name though.

Those chocolate mountain DQ commercials lasted into the 90s.
I love the logo in the chocolate too!
My local NBC affiliate WSFA used the We Treat You Right campaign well into the 90s and they localized them. Instead of Dick Clark doing them longtime weatherman Rich Thomas did them.
Didnt care for DQ's ice cream cake, but I loved Carvel
i've never tried Carvel. I may have to try it some time. My home state doesn't have Carvel, but they have the cakes at Walmart, Kroger, and Piggly Wiggly.
Actually the Blizzard came out in October. i saw ads for it in October 1985 issues of it in my local paper.
I love the flamethrower burger. I get it at my local DQ grill and chill
I'm not big on spicy things, but I love those buffalo chicken melts. The sad thing is that they closed my local DQ for the winter for the first time since like 1996. It'll be open March 1st, but I can't wait until then!!!
Sadly my town has none of those Grill locations.

My personal favorite at Dairy Queen is the M&Ms blizzard.
That was the first blizzard I ever tried as a kid. My new favorite is the Reese Cup Royal Blizzard.

You know, they mention Dairy Queen a lot, but they hardly mention Brazier. If it weren't for Brazier, DQ would just be an ice cream shop.

Yes, we owe quite a lot to "King Brazier" and his "Dairy Queen".

Do you remember an ad for the Dude sandwich that had a voice over that sounded like Sam Elliot? This was a few years before the movie The Big Lebowski even came out. Maybe it was a Texas only commercial.

+Greg Palmer If I can find enough for a 2nd compilation, I'll make another one and include the new commercials I've found. I saw the first one before, but I've never seen the beef nugget one. I was 3 years old in 1986, so that could be why I don't remember it well.
