As content creation is our business and how we earn our living you will see advertising in our content from time to time in different forms:
We are very selective about what brands we work with on paid/sponsored content creation and as a rule we don't work with any brand that we don't already or wouldn't spend our own money on. We are incredibly proud of all our brand partnership content and it will always be disclaimed in the most transparent way possible so you know exactly what is with 'AD' on screen and in the description box. Morning guys! Before any of you want to comment on my Geography skills I just want to clarify that I DO know that Türkiye (Turkey) is NOT in Europe 😜. Geography is not my strong point (unless it’s at Disney World) but I know that much 🤣 It was just easier to call it a ‘European trip’ rather than tempting myself to go into the whole specifics of the trip, which is something I would have done and then you’d all be sat here until 2050 listening to me waffling away 🙈
To defend your skills and geography honour: Around 3% of Turkeys territory is actually located on the European continent. 🤓Haven't watched the whole video yet, but depending on where you went, it might have even been correct to say Europe, haha!
And please don't take my comment as being a smart arse, I'm just one of these people who love to get into specifics, too. 🙈
…and you’re a smart arse 😜🫶🏼
It was Kusadasi ❤️
@@EmmaHill Won't deny it, hehe! 🌝
As someone that used work in a crocs shop, many moons ago, I have heard of both blisters and shrinking happening.
Blisters were usually caused by them being too big or extended periods of sweaty/wet bare feet - the friction with the water causes a lot of friction so without the cloth protection of a sock can cause the blisters. 100% recommend always wearing socks with them for this reason.
With sizing we usually recommended going down a size in the classic clog but honestly its best to try on in a store as various styles have various fits, eg the classic is very wide, the crocband (stripe round the sole) is a narrow fit etc.
The shrinking can be caused by extreme temperature changes, especially heat, as they are made of a type thermo-foam. Essentially they're injection molded into their shape at high heat. So if they're kept in a place that can get very hot they'll shrink. Once had a customer bring one that had been left on his dashboard on a very hot sunny summers day, ended up kiddie sized 😂😂
Hope this helps!
Also that green dress, if 100% linen, could always try dying it to a dark neutral shade you think you'd wear more. Like a brown or black 😊
I believe “Sol de Janeiro” is not a Brazilian brand. I am Brazilian and had never heard of it until this video - that is probably due to me not being exactly a voracious consumer of beauty products, nor a TikTok user. After a quick google search, I found that the company was founded in the US around 10 years ago by a Korean-american (the CEO), an American and (yes) a Brazilian. In 2021 the brand was bought by the L’Occitane Group. According to the their website, all the products are made in the US using globally sourced ingredients.
Love all your videos!! 💝
Yep some others have already brought it to my attention that they are US not Brazilian ❤️ I also don’t use TikTok, I hate it 🤣
Great video. I spat my tea out when when you said “utter shite!” 😂😂😂
Same! 😂
Me too😂. Great to get a completely honest review
Hi Emma. I think these ‘worst purchases’ videos are so interesting. I very rarely buy anything online as I need to try things on, feel the fabric, make sure I like the colour and to be honest, I can’t be bothered to send things back if they’re not what I expected. We all make impulsive buys and undoubtedly have regretted them after but I guess we should not be taken in by all the hype or advertising and try to learn from our mistakes. There’s no shame in it as one size never fits all! ❤️
I love my Crocs for gardening and decorating. I have had the same pair for 23 years! That's value for money right there!
I love crocs too! But recently developed a rubber allergy, and now even through socks make my feet swell up, hives, insane itching. So worth bearing in mind for anyone who has tendencies towards allergic reactions. It took a while for me to realise that it caused by the crocs!
WOW, you are glowing! This hair color is beautiful with your complexion.
That’ll be one of my 100 ‘glow’ products that’s actually worked 🤣😘
The first time I wore Crocs was when I broke my toe. Then I found they were great for slipping on to take my dogs out or doing light gardening. But … I wouldn’t wear them out and about. Also, my best purchases are ones that stay within what I know works for me. I waste a lot of money branching out.
I have worn Crocs since they came out in both a medical setting and for gardening. I have never experienced any blisters or shrinking….I’ve never heard of that either. The sizing on Crocs can be different from regular shoes. If you have never worn them before it is best to try them on in person first. I have a pair of Crocs I got secondhand that I have had for 5 years and they are still in great shape. I do leave them outside to dry, but bring them in once they are. I would contact Crocs and see if they will replaced them.
I did just that, tried before buying and then bought online because they had the colour I wanted in the right size. But unfortunately with any footwear you never know if they’re going to rub until you spend a decent amount of time in them. The shrinking is definitely a thing if you google it and that’s why I’m a bit miffed that it doesn’t say something on the box or inside on a care card or something. I definitely don’t want another pair and I’m pretty sure they would not give me a refund so I don’t want to waste my time. Really glad that you get on with them though 🙌🏼
I tried on Crocs in a store and found them immediately uncomfortable. Not to be deterred, I bought a pair of $5 knockoffs at Old Navy and they are very comfortable and have lasted for years. Go figure. Sometimes cheaper is better.
Crocs sizing is NOT consistent across colors and models! I LOVE crocs as a ugly fashion item so I have a few pairs, but when I was ordering them, none of the colors were the same size despite being the same model. For example, I ordered size 9 of the platform crocs in orange and white. The orange fit much larger than the white even though they were same size. Then I tried the regular crocs in size 9 and I actually needed to size down. I also prefer wearing socks with all my shoes, so I never experienced any blisters.
Crocs uses many different manufacturers across the world, and I found platform crocs made in Vietnam were the squishiest and most roomy. For regular crocs, made in Mexico were the best. Anything made in China had the worst quality. I notice this discrepancy for clothing items other than crocs, so some food for thought!
I, like you, have a strong aversion to Crocs HOWEVER I did purchase a pair of the Birkenstock Arizona sandals in rubber for myself many years ago to wear around the house in summer, the backyard/pool and found that I live in them in the summer months. They are so easy to chuck on, are very durable, easily washable, and are the most comfortable shoes I own. I wear them on my dog walks as well! Loved them so much that I purchased for my husband too. Give them a try if you're looking for a comfortable outdoor shoe - I could not recommend enough!
In my 20's (I am 60 now) my foot doctor told me to wear Birkenstocks when I was standing all day at work (pattern drafting) I hated them so much that I was shocked when people started to wear them as a fashion choice. I still can't wear them as I see orthopedic shoes much like crocs.
I love my Crocs for wearing on the boat. They are easy to clean, they float, they don’t smell, slip them on and walk on deck. I have never gotten blisters.
Try dyeing the green linen dress! It could easily go gray, light brown, or a different green. Linen takes dye really nicely.
I already have a neutral and the only other colour I’d want is a neutral so I think I’ll just sell it so that someone else can enjoy it x
When you buy something your contract is with who you buy it off, not the manufacturer. Amazon are therefore responsible to put this right and should not expect you to deal with the manufacturer, that is for them to do. Just for info should you be unfortunate enough for this to happen to you again. Love your channel. Particularly that you tell us the fabric content of the clothes you tell us about. Fabric content is very important to me being a natural fabric freak.
How is the manufacture quality not down to the manufacturer?
I would recommend Dansko for comfortable clogs. I wore these for all my years as an OR nurse. And I still have some for comfort wear at home. Never bought a bad pair . Super easy to clean and care for
Great video! I also hate the look of crocs and have vowed to never get a pair. I have the Birkenstock Eva sandals and love them. I wear them as slippers indoors with socks and outside as sandals with bare feet. They are light as a feather. 👌🏻
Hi Emma
Love your videos and honestly look forward to viewing them first each Sunday morning. I keep meaning to tell you how much I love the Uniqlo cashmere blend tops you recommended a few weeks back. I have been wearing them almost every day….crew necks and turtlenecks. I think of you every time I put one on Thank you!
Oh yes the thermal ones? They’re great aren’t they 🙌🏼 Glad to hear you love them too x
I got blisters from crocs thongs that were gifted to me. You just saved me from trying out the clogs because I feel like it's the friction! I ws super close to trying them out for the same reason you mentioned
Emma! 😂 You were so sassy in this video!!!! Im cracking up! I used to LOVE the Sol glow oil but Ive found several better/more affordable choices on Amazon. I like to mix the shimmer oils with my favorite lotions. It makes them less intense to wear and also helps the product go further and still gives the glowy affect that youre looking for.
I suppose for £35 each I expected them to do what they’re advertised to do without the need to use another product with them. They also ruined my clothes and left shiny smears on anything I came in contact with 😭
@EmmaHill I agree 100% I think you're probably paying for the name more than anything. Palmers and Vaseline both make a more affordable version and they're less than half of the price. Maybe give those a shot. Your videos are the best! Keep em coming sister!
I will check those out! Thank you ❤️ All I wanted, aside from ‘the glow’ was that amazing smell. I just love Sol De Janiero scents 😍
@EmmaHill Phoera has basically the same product as the Sol glow oil and it also smells amazing but the bottle is much smaller (it's glass tho so probably safer/healthier for your skin) it comes with an applicator brush but i fear you may experience the same issues with it getting on your clothes. Its my personal favorite alternative for the Sol but like I said I kind of dilute it with lotion to get more use out of it and I live with the shimmer on my car seats all summer lol. Price is great and like I said it smells amazing and its very comparable to the Sol.
Ok now I'm done monopolizing the comments section of your video! Lol
Never heard of Phoera but I’ll check that out, thank you ❤️
Reslly refreshing to hear honest feedback about products and clothes.
I’ve never heard that about Crocs shrinking. Given the material, that’s really strange. I have some slider type plastic Birkenstocks. I swim frequently so I use them at the pool to walk around in. I did try wearing them out and about once and they rubbed on my feet and made them sore. I must’ve had them for well over a decade, but I only wear them for those few steps to and from the pool.
PS: Your hair is gorgeous!
Thank you x
About the crocs: usually you want to size up a bit, but depending on your foot shape you still might have blisters, so in that case you need to wear them with socks. I prefer to wear mine with socks (it is way more comfortable for me). For the gardening you mentioned you don’t want to have the wet feeling, but at least you can put the socks to dry easily after you used them. Also, you cannot put crocs to dry on a sunny spot, cause it will most likely cause shrinkage, you have to leave them to dry on the shadow. I am sorry you didn’t enjoy your crocs.
We did size up but yeh wearing with socks for me would be a no go. I cannot wear wet clothing which is why they seemed like a good idea. Shoes which are often advertised as gardening shoes should really not shrink and if there are any instances where they might then this information should be made clear to the buyer, a note on the box, a care card inside, something, but there was nothing 🙃
I love my lined crocs which I use indoors as slippers( occasionally pop out to the bin). Never had blisters and I am prone to blisters. My worst ever purchases were GHD straightners , they were no different to cheap ones , I have some Babyliss ones, I sold the GHD's to my friend and the other was the Victoria Beckham skin serum (£90?) , did absolutely nothing, ended up using it as hand cream. X
We both have slippers for indoors so this was specifically for gardening. The practicality of Crocs was appealing, you can get your feet wet and it doesn’t matter, feet dry off and the Crocs are rubber so don’t need to dry off. But in reality they just didn’t work for us 😭
I bought a pair of dupe Crocs for taking the rubbish out - they stay by the door and are worn for the 20s or so it takes me to walk to our bins and back. I work in a hospital, and while people did have Crocs when they first came out, I haven't seen anyone wearing them at work for years. Most go for a trainer style shoe (or like me wear sandals with socks - don't judge me, it's purely a comfort thing, my feet get too hot if they're closed in. I like to forget about my feet once I've changed footwear).
Forgot to say that there is no shoe that will be comfortable for everyone! There are, however, some that are uncomfortable for everyone! 😅
I wish I’d just bought supermarket ones so that if they were uncomfortable then I wouldn’t have wasted £80 🫠
My go-to for comfort is definitely trainers but I wouldn’t want to ruin them in the garden. I never intended to wear the Crocs outside of the garden but now I’m just going back to my flip flops and wellies for cooler weather.
Hey Emma! Sol de Janeiro is an American and not a Brazilian brand. The ingredients are based on natural ingredients from Brazil, that's all. In fact Sol de Janeiro is not sold in Brazil. Love from Brazil.
Thank you for the info! ❤️
Brilliant as always Emma! You really tell it like it is and I love that ❤ I also thought that crocks would be outdoor shoes how odd 😳 For garden shoes I would recomend clogs. Me and my husband has them and they are outside most of the year. I have them in a size larger so I can just slip my feet in with a thick thick sock if necessary. If you have a garden you need some kind of slip on garden shoe! 😘
I’m going to go for the Birkenstock EVA’s, they’re what I should have bought instead of Crocs 🙈
@ That is a good choise! In Sweden all hospital staff has birkenstocks. I might acctually look into that myself. We have several doors and I would like one pair of something outside every door. But those I think you need to have indoors though, don’t you think?
We have 'outside' Crocs but we laughably keep them inside (and wear them in the garden). I don't wear the back strap and never had blisters but my 6yo can't wear them without socks, she got the worst blisters ever wearing them in the summer (we tried 3 times, no luck).
We didn’t wear the back strap on the first wear then got blisters. We tried with the back strap and got more blisters. True story. The end 🫠🤣
Yes, socks are a must for me, too. But it’s a sensory thing because I’m afraid I’ll get a blister. I do ❤LOVE my lined crocs!!! But I guess those wouldn’t work for wet areas.
I really liked your hair color with that cool toned jumper, pairs really well together. I have a couple of crocs (dupes😅) and I think dupes worth the money, originals not so much since they’re just fancy plastic slippers. I like to decorate them with some fun pins, I’m sure there are Disney ones as well. If you can get along at some point it’s a good way to like them more 😁
Also, don’t worry about geography part 😅 I’m from Turkiye and I live in the same city that you’ve visited. We know we’re in Asia geographically but as secular citizens of Turkiye we consider ourselves European and when someone considers Turkiye Europe it gives us joy 😂 Some part of it is in Europe anyway 😅
"£35 pounds each. Utter sh*te." 😂
Thank you for being honest and not beating about the bush ❤.
The oily product you mentioned, would probably work well for someone going through the menopause or after, some ladies experience dry skin.
I wouldn’t recommend anyone use it, there are far better products out there for dry skin. This stuff was awful and ruined my clothes, left smears over anything I came in contact with and someone with dry skin is not going to want to scrub away at their skin trying to get it off 🙈
If you're looking for a good spf with a glow try the Garnier vitamin c spf50 glow. I've been through a few tubes and I always get compliments on my skin
Is that just for face though? I already have supergoop Glow Screen for my face but the Sol De Janiero one is for the body which is what I was after x
@EmmaHill I would say just put the supergoop on you body when you want a glow......they're all basically the same it's just marketing and I CANNOT deal with anything oily. The Garnier one is a lot cheaper though and very similar to the supergoop imo, I switched to save money and haven't looked back
@@EmmaHillI love La Roche Posay Anthelios range. And the packaging for the face is flat and handy to take with you. The coloured one also gives a beautiful glow or is a good base under makeup! ❤
@faithylou I think we may have crossed wires here 🙈 It’s not so much about the formula being specifically for the face or body it’s the size of product. Products for body are much larger because you need more. If I used my supergoop on my body I’d go through 3 or 4 £37 (each) tubes a week 🤣 If there’s a body SPF with glow in it that is decent and doesn’t streak, that’s definitely something I’m interested in, for the right price though 🙊
@lydiacarels7912 I used to use that range before I switched to Supergoop 🫶🏼
For gardening I highly recommend the AIGLE mules/clogs. They have a super comfortable cork sole, I love mine!
I have to honest but I won’t be giving Crocs another penny of my money. Simon can stick to his slippers and I’m going for Birkenstock EVA’s 🙌🏼
@@EmmaHillI also lóve Birckenstock!
Now Birkies I can rave about! They can take all my money 🙌🏼
I'm only a few minutes in but already I've fully committed to somehow making "Thirty five pounds each... utter shite" my new txt alert❤
That comment deserves more airtime quite frankly and I am not too sure Sol de Janeiro will be using it as part of their product marketing - though they probably should 😂
And there was me really hoping for a sponsorship after this 😏🤣
Yes I went food shopping in my Crocs (Twice) and yes got blisters (twice) so they are now an indoor shoe in the warmer weather with my Ugg Tamzins being my indoor shoe this time of year. Plus I wouldn't chance driving in them!
hi Emma, thank you so much for being honest and open about your shopping regrets, I truly appreciate it - I need more deinfluencing in my life!! :) cheers! k.
Morning Emma, I been away from all social media! It was good to have a break, however I have missed your you-tube videos ❤ Just catching up, love your hair BTW ❤ I bought that SDJ hair oil and had exactly the same issues as you. It made my hair look so greasy. I can recommend a really good hair oil. I now use Oribe hair oil. It’s so lovely, just smoothies the mid length and ends, but with no greasy look. It also smells lovely!
I also gave in last summer and bought some croc flip flops for my summer holiday down in Padstow. This was based on my partner Tim’s recommendation. I got blisters on the very first day! 😢
Thanks as always Emma. Happy New year to you and Simon xx
I don’t think crocs ever claimed they’re water proof. But they are comfortable. I don’t like the most common one. I like the sandal style.
I really enjoyed this video,it’s good to hear about purchases and what you think a hit and miss 😊
The Wagner situation, sounds very familiar. Had similar with a Karcher dehumidifier. These brands are infuriating
Stupid comment
It's not about the brand, it's actually rarely about the brand, it's about the people
Last summer i brought from primark Clarence a pair of slip on plastic crocks copies just for gardening they are so comfortable
I honestly wish I’d just bought non-branded ones so it would have been a waste of less money 🙈
Very interesting video! Thank you for putting up. You made a chuckle at one point too 😅 thank you for your genuine reviews. 😊
I agree. I really like this type of video. But, all of your videos are great. But, I must say, I agree with you and wet shoes. Your reaction to the heebie jeebies was spot on.😂😂
Crocs get softer after time. wear socks with new crocs for few months to avoid blisters. I always put the back strap on the front to wear them as slippers. I own 6 pairs😍
Great Video Emma!! You are one of my favourite TH-camrs. Thanks for all you do!!
Thank you ❤️
It’s just so interesting how people’s opinions differ isn’t it, I find the hair oil is the best I’ve ever used, just shows you how different we all are x
Omg! I bought Crocs straight from their web site, thinking the same thing, comfort. THEY WEREN'T!! So I had to buy comfort sole inserts!! That helped, BUT!!! They ARE NOT a go to comfort shoe😢. But that just me, the world seems to love them.
Enjoyed your video Emma, and was amused by your utter contempt of Crocs 😂
Should’ve trusted my gut in the first place 🙃
I must say that I think the sunnies from Celine in that color would be my favorite on you. They look so chic and lovely with your hair color. Really. ❤
By no means do I have anything negative to say about them but I bought them whilst in a complete Dopamine high and there was no thought or consideration over buying them. It was impulsive and whilst I will wear them (albeit less that the more classic colours) I regret making an impulsive purchase when they cost that much money 🙈
@ totally understand… and I’m just saying that I think you look so classic and lovely in them that maybe just maybe you’re not seeing how awesome and currently classic they look on you, even though I know by now that you know you and why you are not reaching for them. Sometimes we just don’t see ourselves in certain color ways. My trial and error is the black loafer, don’t know why but when I try them on especially without socks it’s a no go? Wishing you a pleasant Sunday.
I disagree I find that color odd.
The Celine glasses look great on you, though. The frame color compliments your coloring.
I just don't like crocs either. I work in maternity and do 2 shifts per week. The only footwear I can wear during these 12.5 shifts are Go walk Sketchers. I forgot them one shift and someone loaned me a pair of crocs. My poor feet ached after half hour and I didn't feel safe. as they are open.
You have to wear socks with crocs or they make your feet sweat, and will definitely give you blisters! And the shrinking is the material. It’s a heat-shaped material so the heat from the sun will alter the shaping
Crocs are for gardening only. I bought the cheap version on amazon for £10 and thankfully, me the husband and kids never had blisters. They are ugly, and I refuse to wear it beyond the driveway!🤣 I'm not a fan of Sol de Janeiro and don't really understand the hype. For that beautiful glow during summer, I love the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Or, it's absolutely stunning. It's a lightweight oil that literally melts on your skin and gives the most stunning glow without looking like you have glitter all over your body and hair, plus it smells amazing! Thanks for including gadgets on this video as well!
In our case they’re not even for gardening. Useless if you can’t leave them outside because they shrink 🙈
I have some other shimmer/glow products for evening but for during the day I’m still on the hunt for a strong SPF with shimmer because I couldn’t wear oil in the sun 🔥🥓
@@EmmaHilldo you have Hawaiian Tropic sun products there? The Sheer Touch one that says “radiance” has just a bit of shimmer that’s totally day time appropriate and it’s a great sunscreen.
@EmmaHill you had bad luck with the ugly crocs 🤣 they are handy because when they get dirty we just hose it down and it's good to go. Oh the Nuxe Huile it's just for night time, during the day I love the Hawaiian Tropic silk hydration SPF50 it also has that gold pearlescent sheen, it's lovely and lightweight. For the beach/pool it's full on thick waterproof spf, I don't play with sun damage!
@@Ajb259 yes that's the one I'm talking about. It's really nice and smells so good!
@@julianamendes8802 it smells SO good!!
Hi! Me, my husband and my older daughter always have the same problem with crocs, we always get sores on the soles of our feet, but my younger daughter doesn't have any problems and they always shrink if they stay in the sun.
wow you are amazing just love your honesty so much ! love how you just say exactly what you think, so funny but so good, love you for that
My daughter gets terrible blisters if she wears her crocs without socks. Her physio also said they’re not a good idea for regular wear as they provide no support to the ankle. I’ve never found a pair that fit me 😆
Hello Emma, thank you for this video, very interesting and useful! I've got blisters from Crocs every time I try to wear them, my husband either. But I've got blisters from almost any shoes, so I thought it's just me🙈
Well that is very unfortunate 🙈 I usually get blister from sandals but never from trainers which is why I live in trainers, especially my NB’s 🙌🏼 But yeh the Crocs didn’t work for either of us and we also didn’t understand what people find so comfortable about them, those little bobbles on the insole feel awful after 15 minutes 🥴
If you still have your Crocs, place them in the sun for a short time, then put them on. Repeat until they fit your feet like gloves. Hope this helps
We did that every day and it did nothing and the shrinkage made the blisters worse 🤣
Well, we learn the most in life from our mistakes.😢....and fails in fashion as well, unfortunaly!! 😅 In geography as well😂😂😂
Geography has taken a big hit today 🤣
You’re sooo beautiful!
Thank you 🥹💘
Great format! Could you please share your opinion about M&S viscose trousers, I remember you bought a couple of them for your cruise in 2024. I have been thinking about buying a pair for the following summer season, but a bit scared of excessive shrinkage 😅
Love them but they did shrink in the wash even when washing on cold. Fortunately I sized up so it hadn’t made them too small x
@@EmmaHill Thank you so much!
Hello Emma! 🥰 I had similar "case" with body balm/oil 😅 In the summer I LOVE to have "sunkissed" skin and I bought body balm with, of course, word "shimmer" or "glow" on the bottle. It turned out to be... BODY BB CREAM 😂 You can imagine how it ruined my white tops and dresses after one day of use 🥲
Yes! I was wearing black and it ruined that outfit too 😭
lol! NEVER got blisters from crocs and I've been wearing them for about 20 years but I can't wear them for gardening. My feet end up filthy!
Your podiatrist will be ever grateful you're not wearing crocs. Mine wants to ban them😂
Wonderful video, as always, Emma. After your experience with the paint sprayer, I hope 400k of your viewers vow never to buy a Wagner product. More and more, we experience poor customer service much of it spawned by AI generated barriers. Unacceptable. Also, I agree about resisting the dopamine high of purchasing something new. Short high followed by regret. Please consider more "shop my closet" videos.
This video is quote funny actually, really enjoyed it 😊
You sound surprised 🤣
Already hilarious 😂❤
😘😘
Thank you for sharing Emma ❤
Thank you for watching x
Crocs… in my opinion not comfortable. I do have a pair for one purpose; on the pontoon at the lake for getting myself up the ladder. The cushy sole protects my tender feet on that boat ladder. That’s it, that is the only place I wear them. No shrinkage however🤷♂️
Hahaha, that Crocs story! I have mine more than 10 years, never had any problem with them (i don't leave them outside) and i wear them every day inside (but mine are smaller than the regular wide ones). PS: thank you for all your videos, love them! Greetings from Belgium
omg, that crocs part made me laugh 😂 how on earth could crocs give you blisters? and how on earth did they shrink? i have mine for over 17 years, now only wear them indoors but it's the most comfortable thing on my feet.
In the US, Restaurant workers wear them with socks, because these shoes can be cleaned. Easily
Makes complete sense. I honestly get the practicality of them, I wish so bad that they’d worked for us because as a gardening shoe they’re ideal. But the blisters were too much and then when the bastards shrunk I gave up 💀
Another great video. Crocs. I am a registered nurse, licensed in the US, Germany, and Norway. The hospital in the US banned Crocs for medical personnel due to the potential hygiene and safety risks, bodily fluid ie., you know, holes on top. Surprisingly the hospital in Germany does not care. It is your own risk. I only tried one pair of Crocs, for walking the dogs . Very comfortable, but not my thing.
😅 Crocs!? Never had a problem with them, I use them for gardening too & beach walking... BUT do keep them inside. Love your light blue jumper...
It’s grey, but thank you 😘
What kind of crocs did you buy? Because the crocs I know and love have holes in them (the clogs) and so they are not waterproof. They don't shrink in water either. I have worn them out in the beach and even in the sea and no shrinkage there. Last, I have been walking on the Crocs clogs for at least 15 years as my house slippers and never had blisters.
Gasp Crocs!! 😱 OMG. I have had a long standing crocs ban for my kids. My teenager finally broke down and bought a pair. She got blisters too but loves them. Clearly, I failed somewhere as a mom. 😆 And boo Wagner and Amazon!
If someone finds them comfortable then there’s no disputing the practicality element of them. But the blisters, lack of comfort and shrinkage are a hard no from us 🙈
I loved this and all your descriptions…absolute shite was my favourite and I laughed out loud 🤣🤣🤣
I can agree with crocs shrinking, Australia is hot, we didn’t leave them outside, one brand new one in shoes case, they were thongs style crocs brand and yes they shrunk without any use.
Yes crocs shrink in the sun badly. I have not heard of anyone getting blisters though.
Great video Emma, as always ❤ I was just wondering why you didn't return the suit from Dish. Was it because you'd ordered from Australia and shipping was too much of a hassle? Just curious..
Exactly that. I’d probably get more back for it if I sold it taking into consideration the import fees I had to pay as well as shipping x
Your hair looks stunning! ❤ What colour/products are you using?
It’s just a box dye that I’ve been using for the last 3 years. It’s Garnier Nutrisse in shade 5 (Mocha) x
@@EmmaHillI'll have to have a look for that. So fed up of brown hair dye making my hair either red or ginger
Uour gair looks stunning, Emma! Could you make a video of how you style it? Is it just Dyson or something else? ❤
Crocs shrinking??? I have never heard of that and what I know of as Crocs here in the States is indestructible and will be here until the end of time. Short of running them through a shredder the form isn’t going to change.
If you google it it’s very much a thing that happens 🫠
@ I did google and had no idea! I agree with never wearing past the end of driveway but the pair I liked was lined with fake fleece and were wonderful winter slippers. I wonder what became of them as I haven’t seen them since I moved
I enjoyed watching this video, I have bought things in the past which have been a waste of money. I have never bought a pair of Crocs as I never liked the look of them so I can’t really say much about them. I see people wearing them all the time but they’re not for me 🙂
Emma! If You’re not gonna wear brown Celine glasses much, maybe You’ll consider selling them? I love Triomphe 01, it’s my go to shape and I would love to get it in absorber colour.
I never said I wouldn’t wear them, I said they get worn less than the other 2 colours I have but I just regret that they were an impulse purchase as a result of a dopamine high x
Sol de Janeiro is not Brazilian, even though the brand culturally appropriated the lifestyle 🫠
Ah, my bad but good to know thank you ❤️
I have Crocs as gardeningshoes and never had blisters. I even wear them for my morningwalk when i have blisters from other shoes😂.
what's your vinted? I cant find it in the description
I forgot to add it is why 🤣 Username: emmathehill
Hi Emma from north africa I did a same expérience with crocs I think up to me this shoes shouldn't exist. Thankfully 😊❤
If you bought it from Amazon your contract was with them and they were responsible for sorting the problem - Consumer Rights Act.
Ha ha loved the description of shite. Sol de janerio have brought a new product out of body oil which i was tempted to buy. I love the yellow one as a perfume. It’s £52 so I’ve just been having a think. Might just swerve it completely now x
A body oil with no shimmer in it might be ok. The shimmer combined with the oil made it impossible to get off, it ruined what I was wearing that evening and I left shimmery smears on anything I came in contact with 🙈 If someone had that on their skin and came to my house they’d need to stand outside 🤣
I’ve got crocs I wear in the garden, but do get filthy feet. I loved the green linen dress on you but if it’s not you it just isn’t ..
But then you can just wash your feet rather than ruing a pair of trainers or boots. I get that wellies are an option but in the height of Summer I’m not wearing wellies 🥵
@ I’ve got some closed in clog type things which are much better for me. Only for the garden as they are not pretty. Getting the dirt off my feet is really hard. It shouldn’t be that hard but it is!
Are you wearing a new chunky cashmere sweater from COS?😍 It looks amazing on you!😍I’ve been wanting to buy it but couldn't find solid reviews. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts in one of your upcoming videos-I only trust Emma’s opinion!
I actually bought mine off Vinted and saved £60 but yes it is the current collection. My thoughts on it are the same as my other Cos Cashmere which you can find in the Highstreet Cashmere review video from a couple of years ago. I’m afraid as we are going into Spring I don’t have any plans to talk about this jumper in any upcoming content x
hello! my pair of crocs was bought to live outdoors and still good as I bought them three years ago! So weird that it happened to you 😢. I and my husband love to wear them doing garden stuff.. us. wa state..
Wait so you’ve had no shrinkage? Ours have literally shrunk by about 3 inches. I put them on at the end of Summer and I was like “what in the Honey-I-Shrunk-the-Crocs has happened here?!”.
I googled it and apparently it is a thing 🫠
@@EmmaHillCrocs do shrink if left in direct heat or sunlight. They also shrink if you boil them in hot water- some parents do this intentionally for their kids if the ones they bought are a few sizes too big
There should probably be a warning of this on the box or inside in that case given that they are a popular shoe for gardening 🙈
I have been buying the audrey for at least 10 years and when ever i buy another brand or model in always regret it 😂
Hi Emma, I hope you were not sold fake Crocs, I even wash mine in the washing machine they have never shrunk… I just can’t even imagine how you could have possibly gotten blisters.
I bought them directly from Crocs so I really fucking hope not 🤣 Apparently if left out in the sun they will shrink 🤷♀️
The regular crocs are not comfortable, way too wide. I have a pair of slingback ballerina- style, they are comfy, were from day one.
I’m sorry but I no longer believe anyone when it comes to Crocs 🤣
The Crocs 🤣
Mate 💀🤣
Interesting video. I think if you'd titled it 'things I regret buying' rather than worst purchases, it might be fairer to the brands/items involved. For example the paint sprayer was poor quality and broke but the Sonos did the job, however, you didn't use it. Also Amazon are crap at customer service, they should go on the list. Agree totally! 😅
I did explain very clearly in the video why they were my worst purchases so I don’t think anyone feels mislead. They were regrets but they were also my worst purchases x
@EmmaHill regret is better x
Ok well we’ll have to agree to disagree on that one x
@EmmaHill agree it's not important but I've worked with brands all my life and am probably a little sensitive to language .. 🥰
Most of my purchases on line do not work out. They never seem to size as advertised, poor quality etc.
That’s a shame. The majority of my purchases that I make online are great but there’s always some that slip through the net. Living where I live now there are now much less opportunities for me to try the brands I like because I no longer live in the city. Fortunately we’ve just had a Sephora open up at Bluewater so I can try more beauty products before buying, not that I often venture away from what I know 🙊
The sol de jenero glow oil IS shit, I can attest to that as well
Huh blisters from Crocs? That's genuinely very strange. 😂 I've had Crocs flip flops and have never had a better flip flop than that one. Bummer!
Flip flops are a completely different type of shoe to classic Crocs (clogs) though x
@EmmaHill oh I know I had clogs before but my partner thought they were so ugly, I threw them away. 😅 They were still comfortable though
I mean he’s not wrong, my opinion definitely matches his, they’re hideous to look at which is why I only bought them as gardening shoes. Curious to know why you threw yours away? Did they break?
@EmmaHill no they didn't break but they had a fleece lining (makes it even more hideous 😂 ) that was starting to look a bit grubby. It was time to say goodbye when I started dating my partner 🤭
🤣🤣🤣
