Seun that shaking yansh for one side na grammy 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.
No be lie
Papa you are a truthful person
GOD bless you 🙏
Here in South Africa when I am in my car or home I play Fela Kuti-ITT,one of the greatest sons of Africa,Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
Thank you for speaking the truth I wish every African people can speak like you with no bias. I am shocked by many Nigerians attacking South African and the Grammy winner Tyla because they won a soccer match again South Africa. My Brother keep on speaking the truth.
Most Nigerians mentality towards music is biased.
I'm a Nigerian and i don't only explore Afrobeats but i explore other genres like rnb, ambience, soul, rap, pop, rock, metal, jazz, electro etc.
I don't base my music on streams and charts. I base it on rating communities and my own intuition.
So when Shakti album won it ahead of Davido and Burna album, instead of castigating Shakti, i went to listen to the album and it's actual good even though I didn't understand the language but the production and jazz was top notch.
But how many Nigerians listen to jazz?? They believe it has to be the trending genre.
People don't listen to jazz much generally.
Its no longer mainstream.
Now that you have mentioned it. I cannot wait for that book bro. Please find the time 🙏
Your perspective always on point sir
Black Times deserved that award abeg! Facts!
great analysis
Same thing I said, we are ‘guest’! This is an American award so why are we so thirsty and hungry over a foreign award just because it’s the biggest award. Why can’t we just create our own Africa’s biggest award platform. We even went to the extent of taking Headies over there. Cmon why are we like this? Who did this to us???
I love what u did on "shabadushkabar" 🔥 🔥 🔥
Chai see insight❤❤❤
Thx Seun
Seun, when a cultural product like music is co-opted by external demographics, it is normal for the original owners to loose their minds.
Especially, when that product has a cultural significance and meaning attached to it. For instance, R&B which emerged during the Great
Emigration of black people in the US, during the early 20th century, would be commercialized by white proprietors, transiting from being
so-called to Rock n roll. Then, magically, Elvis became the King of Rock n Roll. Rap was a platform for non.integrated (or uneducated
blacks) to gain visibility. It went from being publicly downgraded to white commercialization, then voila, Eminem
became the King of Rap. Reggae was a anti-imperialist genre championed by Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and many greats. UB40 enters the
stage, and suddenly the political undertone is sanitized. When Adele won her Grammy for Soul Music, many whiteys rejoiced that their
own had finally been able to mimic Aretha Franklin & co. When we do it, dem no dey celebrate am like that o. So, the issue is the
highhandedness and disrespect that the black creators and community receive from these appropriators. This happens when the
creator(s) is(are) not controlling the narrative and the institutions. Even our so -called moguls like Diddy Love, Jayz, Babyface, LA
Reid, etc, na boy-boy dem be o. That is why, like you said, black people should learn to create and glamorize their own musical reward
system and institutions. And also desist from seeking white validation.
As for your Papa, who wan give am award? Dem like truth? You know that the truth is called a lie, vice-versa! But the fact remains that
despite being snobbed and denied of public accolades, Fela's compositions and messages remain timeless and relevant, forevermore.
You cant say that for the award recipients of his era, do you even remember their names? Abeg, leave matter for Mathias!
Omo! I can't read all you wrote. Wow! It was an interesting read.
I agree with you, totally. You made lots of sense.
Big Bird.. Thank You for putting on cloth today o
So this is why a lot of black rappers refuse to give Eminem his flower
Watched the live 👏🏾
my own IDOLO
Na the generator wey dey sound for background or the mic distortion dey distract me. Naija let's fix our country men.
Time to do something with rock music and Korean music for the fans of Afrobeat that also enjoy other genre.
You know you can actually sue them for playing your father music ..you can claim the award..
Tell dem, my brother
My teacher you wear cloth today
U speak fact
At least you don dey wear clothe big up man.. One love
U mean before he does not have a cloth ? R u daft
The player your fathers music to replace her music . Do you know why ?
You no mention Lenny Kravitz
💪🏽
Nominate Taylor Swift and KoldAF for Headies. Give KoldAF 😂.
The real legendary and signature sound water by fela was the part that got to me. What level of mockery was that... you could have used any other song but they had to send us back home to our ancestral root to ask us what we are going to do... o duuun mii oloun. I no say make tola abi na tyla no win buh why mock that particular category knowing fully well that 4 other Nigerians are on that category and an ancestral tune to the other 4 was being played to usher in Tyla... na utter disrespect. And on the whole taking it out on south africans that's us just being reactive... I mean so we'll take things out now or transfer aggression on our fellow blacks because of an award 😂. Shey we no get enough reason to win the AFCON before nii 😂?
Seun con calm this days 😮 be like say Igbo don finish for market because of price inflation’ e no go better for bad governance 😂
U dey worry o😭
I know say you go talk, 😊
wow, u don work with common and black thoughts, that's dope, I know about Carlos Santana tho.
So you are worried about the fact that they gave Tyler award to meant for your dad Fela song water which everyone voted for? And they even played the Fela song water to prove my point
You obviously didn’t listen
Which kind of wording is this
Are you sure you are okay?
@@esthervanda7401 You read that and you thought it was typed by person wey complete?. you sef. lol
😂😂
😂😂😂
Africa President you too much
Yeye man! E wear shirt today promoting NIKE!
Idiot is that not the Jersey of super eagles of Nigeria abi you dey mad?!
Commonsense & you seem to be sworn enemies.
😂 Igbo man! You people are so divisive and hateful! Why?
Hahaha... A mad man has a better ability on your thinking capacity. Try not to be biased with your thoughts so that you can be reasonable. Which company produces the super Eagle's clothings/apparel? And since our country doesn't have any big sponsor or do you have?
There's always one ode like you on comment section😂, it's very normal.
You just so straight and truthful ... THAT'S WHAT KUTI has always stand for
Wow my Brother you are sport on about everything you are speaking only the truth I wish all Africans can stop being Jealousy on each other.
Apart from congratulations 🎉 I just have two words for Tyla. COPY RIGHT. WATER is a classic Fela track 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
Seun, Dangote should emulates Abiola. I remember Abiola babes in the 80s and Abiola single handedly funded the Nigerian football league back then and I remember we always love to watch our local clubs play.. Good old days.
You mean dangote the federal government project or monopolist lol
That is not a recipe for success. Dangote is a businessman . Soccer is not charity. As Nigerians we should be responsible for creating our own league . Where is the Nigerian league that Abiola created ? Probably died with him . We infantilize ourselves when we seek alms to build our nation . All hands must be on deck .
I love that your point, where you said we shld build our own award and make it international, and include their big artists... The funny part is where u said we shld just give sm1 wey no big and include their biggest stars and just scatter the table 😅😄😅
Africa President ✊🏾
The AWORD is the best Africa performance not amapiano vs Afro beats.
So what performance does she have to surpass Davido, burna and Ashake?
You want Nigerian artist to use amapiano that originated from South Africa to win the person from South Africa? Abi you don't know all those songs nominated from Nigeria are all amapiano sound? E be like say make South Africans use Afrobeat sound to contest with our artist and expect to win naija artist. Think!
That's the point. It's their award and they give it to whoever they think deserves it based on their own perception of music. Afrobeats artistes should create their own awards and desist from awaiting validation from those who understand little about their arts.
@@deeray9447They will be back next year. Look how the whole Afrobeats community came for Grammy weekend but if it was an African award show few would come.
@@johnjohn3407is burna song amapiano too? Was burna boy album last year amapiano too? Y'all drunk
@@esthervanda7401 we're talking about the category that Tyla was nominated in, which they all had amapiano sound. Don’t stay f00lish.
Baba Seun, na your Papa born you especially on your breakdown of the game and linking it to African development. God will continue to bless you ❤🇳🇬
Nah the dog and cat video make me laugh😂😂😂
You are the true son of your father, you will help African
Yes, he will help African
Na World Cup come remain after this African cup to win 🏆
As a Nigerian, Seun is one of the smartest man on earth
Very valuable
Carlos Santana great collaboration.
What about last year? They used a relatively unknown song called Bayethe by Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini and Nomcebo Zikode to win against Burnaboy’s Last Last. Then they said it is all about originality or whatever, no it’s what?
Grammys has an agenda to rubbish out type of music, they just are trying to discourage our music and artists.
Unbiased commentary, love from southy
Fela won several awards especially pman awards
this one wey seun calm
E never smoke igbo😅😅😅
@@akocity2027Igbo actually calms most users

😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nepa fall seun hand😂
Why? do they play your father song on Tyler's Grammy Sorry oh. But for me how can someone win Grammy then them go come play baba fela songs for there..
Dem know wetin dem do.
Dem use am pass serious message to what originality sounds like to those naija artist and also letting the girls know the real "water" song
You get Sense seun
Please refrain from topics or subjects your not very versed in,how can you say Naija players are same standard with SA,nah, I'll tell you the difference, Osimhen, lookman or any of our stickers wouldn't miss all those glaring chances they missed!
Burna boy’s nominated song had no Amapiano on it, neither did Rush by Ayra Star. This was a deliberate act by the Grammys to undermine Nigerian (Afrobeats) music.
Great man
If it was a whiteman that was singing Amapiano now! It wud be called capitalism ooo! Una go go on rant of how they stealing from us! But we stole a sound from South Africa 🇿🇦! Now we calling it talent 😂😂😂!
For Nigerian league to improve, government know wetin to do, na them deh derail our sports. Investors no want put money into our sports cos Nigeria government no gree remove hand from the affairs of our sports, that's why sponsors no deh invest
Oga Seun I make sense die!👌 Sometimes ur sense for Naija dey come after something don happen pass! Na wa for us! Sha Sha big up to you👍
Nice One keep up the good work 🔥🔥🔥🔥💪
