    My black family lives in San Francisco. They are educated, successful in every way, not just financially. They did it with grit, consistency, great choices, and most of all because of their wonderful parents that demanded excellence from their children. Handouts were not in their sights. It's stupid this gaslighting of black people.

    • @BMBRMUSIC
      @BMBRMUSIC หลายเดือนก่อน

      Reparations is not a handout. It’s a debt that needs to be paid by the United States government for the enslavement of descendants of slavery in the United States. It’s lineage based not raced based. The very slaves that built the economy and wealth of this country for 300 years gave America a handout by building them a new free country for people to come too. Before Slavery there was no United States until the slaves built it.

    The federal government just cut food stamps so radically that many people can barely afford to eat. There are thousands of people with full time jobs in California living in their cars because the rents are too high. Where exactly do they plan to pull this money from? Holding some one accountable for something they did not do and no one in their family did, to people they never met is insanity. All because you suck at life. Why is it that when other ethnicities are mistreated, we can feel bad, but not for us darkies? It's a handout, and we will misuse it. Our rents and bridge tolls are ridiculous our purchasing tax rate is 10.75%. An income of $90,000 per year isn’t even considered middle class here. You mean to tell me they want to tax me more to pay for reparations when California didn’t have slavery, miss me with that. I’m Mexican American and in the 1930’s Americans of Mexican descent were deported to Mexico when they had no ties or family there. The Japanese were also put in internment camps in California. Are they going to give reparations to us? I don’t think so. If they start paying people who experienced racism or oppression then they have to pay everyone 🤦‍♀️If they make us pay wouldn’t that put us in Debt Bondage or debt slavery? Where is the fairness in that? I say everyone should be responsible for the finances in their homes.

And I am so glad I did, they are so much fun to watch while rocking out to music videos that I grew up on. They are absolutely my new favorite go to videos. I enjoyed hearing what they think on a range of subjects and God for bid I should say they’re articulate without getting backlash. At his point I don’t think there is anything that we can say without it being turned into something it isn’t. I think they’re funny, smart, handsome, educated, open, intelligent and yes, the dreaded articulate. Having said all that I can tell you that I am equally disgusted by ignorant white young people, as I am by ignorant, black young people. I am also equally impressed by articulate young people of both or should I say all races. We have far too many young people in society today that order pure dribbles every time they open their mouth‘s. So I will not apologize for using the word articulate. I am tired of stepping on eggshells with every goddamn word that comes out of our mouths, because someone might get offended. And just to wrap this up my forefathers got here right at the turn of the last century 1900 not 1800 not 1700,1900 so we don’t owe nobody nothing. They came here poor and none of the descendants ended up rich we’re just regular folks, tired of hearing about a white privilege.

I can tell you for a fact, that none of the black families in my neighborhood would be ok with another black family moving in for free. While they had to work their asses off to get where they are today. My Father is Irish and grew up in West Philly. He would tell us stories of how they would staple card board to the bottom of their shoes when they got holes. I don’t think one person in my neighborhood grew up with money. The experience I had growing up is a testament that no matter who you are, you can achieve success if you put in the work. All the Black, Jewish, Chinese and Indian families for the most part we’re doctors and lawyers. All the Italian and Irish families were in construction. Which I find funny. I never started noticing race until I was in my Sophomore year of college at Temple University. When everyone started making a big deal about it. No one excluded anyone. We used to have massive neighbored summer parties, where every family would bring all sorts of different food. So I turn having a diverse neighborhood, I grew up eating a variety of food. What happens when the following generations comes, do they get to claim their reparation money? 100-200 years from now, do those people get to receive reparations too? On the subject of reparations in the US, consider this:
      If anyone or any group of people want to obtain reparations, it’s easier to do under the following conditions (some of which have indeed been met but the list would be incomplete without including them):
      * The injustice is easily identifiable.
      * The victims are easily identifiable.
      * The perpetrators are known.
      * Direct victims are still alive.
      * The number of victims isn’t inordinately large.
      * The injustice took place a reasonably short time ago.
      * The injustice offends societal values of equality.
      * The amount of reparations asked for isn’t so large, that the general public will find it unrealistic.
      * There is a symbolic victim whom, or general agreement upon which, advocates for reparations can rally around.
      For the Japanese, the amount paid was relatively low, $20,000 for each of 80,000 living survivors.
      For Native Americans, the commission paid out about $1.3 billion, the equivalent of less than $1,000 for each Native American in the United States at the time the commission dissolved in 1978. They actually kept Native Americans from having direct control of the funds, in the belief they were not “competent to receive such large amounts of money.” This is also true with land, where control has always been kept with the US.
      How about Afrícan Amerícans? The US purchased land in Afríca for freed Afrícan Amerícan słaves, it’s what’s today known as Líberia. The US started sending freed slaves as early back as about 1820. This is in fact reparatíons. Do you know what the freed slaves did when they got to Afríca? They enslaved the native population that was already there.
      The US sends billions of dollars of aid every year to other nations, many of which are in Afríca. This is every year and not just a single payment.
      Let’s not forget students are granted advantages strictly based on ràce and affirmative action means this is true in the workplace as well. This is also in fact a form of reparatíons, a way of paying back for past wrongs. Both in hiring and promotions, being Błack is a huge advantage today…..
      But if anyone really wants reparatíons in another form again (direct cash payment), I’m open to it under one condition. Make it a pretty good amount of money and whomever takes it gives up their citizenship. Never to be able to come back to the US, even on a visa. In that case, I’m for it.
      Although, I believe we as a society should utilize our resources for the benefit of our entire society. I’m really speaking about how some African Americans that think people alive today that never owned slaves should pay people today that never were słaves.

    I lived in San Fran from 98-2002. It was a beautiful city. Now it's totally overrun with drug addicts. Maybe the people that run the city should worry more about getting the junkies off the street than paying reparations to people that they never harmed by them. If reparations are owed, then it would be Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Virginia, and Florida that should consider it.

      First off San Francisco is a dump because it's run by leftist progressives. When Reagan was Governor of CA in the late '60's, even during the big hippie population
      in San Francisco and drug use, it still was a clean and beautiful city. Look at the major cities run by leftist progressives and you will see some of the same issues.
      Secondly, SF and most of the liberal cities are Sanctuary Cities that allow illegals to live on the streets, in the parks and threaten city residents. Look at LA.
      A few years ago, there was a young lady who was shot and murdered by an illegal in SF. He got off on a technicality.
      All you have to do is look at the POS Libtard Gov. of CA, Gavin Newsome, to see why CA is turning into a dump.
      SF was my favorite US city as a kid. Loved it, loved the food, the historical aspects and the scenery. Now you couldn't pay me to live there, period!!
      Regarding reparations, these people weren't enslaved nor ever denied any rights other people have. In fact, they have Affirmative Action and advantages put into the system
      to assist them financially, school wise, employment et al. These were the so called measures to help them attain equality. These reparations are just total BS!
      Our nation is broke and there is high unemployment/many businesses closing. Anyone who thinks people living in SF or any state are going to move there and subject
      themselves to pay these insane reparations are crazy! This is just another way to ride the racism narrative. MLK JR would be sickened by this.

    How can you make taxpayers of today pay for decisions they didn't do, and give Blk people reparations for stuff they didn't experience.
    If you have 5 children and you give just 1 of those kids candy and toys everyday and the other kids just have to sit there and watch them enjoy it. Blk people buying ferrari's and whatever they want, whenever they want is insane. Everyone will slowly build distain towards the blk community if this happens. You go to buy a new PS5 and the last one was just bought buy a Blk person, people are not gonna assume they worked for that. They are gonna assume they used their free reperation money funded by taxpayers. Which is essentially everyone's money in a big pot (taxes). That Blk person is kinda buying that last PS5 with YOUR OWN MONEY right in front of you lol.

    Native American tribes have treaties with America. One aspect of the treaties is sovereignty, which allows tribes to govern themselves, basically a nation within a nation. • @iBecoco
      @iBecoco ปีที่แล้ว

      It was under 5% of people who actually owned slaves.. there were even around 3,000+ slave owners who were black themselves. So some blacks also owned slaves in the south.
      i do find the most interesting point brought up in the video they watched.. so the majority of whites who’s families never owned slaves have to pay? asians have to pay? hispanics have to pay? a family who only just moved here 4 years ago they have to pay?
      also, yes.. it was tribes in Africa capturing and selling the slaves. the whites weren’t going there capturing them up themselves. they were buying at the beaches. also, look up.. was it the Barbary Slave Trade.. in North Africa they were enslaving whites, and it lasted longer than slavery of blacks in the United States!
      You can go back in any point in history and every race had their time being enslaved. But it was whites who went around fighting wars to end it. The only reason this is constantly a subject brought up is because blacks enslaved in the United States is one of the more recent instances and it’s harped on constantly to keep a divide.
      I just wonder why we always hear people complaining about slavery in the past.. but don’t attack the source. Slavery is still happening in Africa. It’s still happening in China. Why are we protesting the past when it’s still happening in the present.
