Hi Rachel! I just wanted to say that though you often express that you're worried that your videos won't be interesting or engaging enough, if you posted a tutorial on how to fold a tablecloth, we'd probably still watch. Your videos are peaceful and so much fun to sew along to, no matter what you're making. Do what you feel like, and we'll be grateful for it!

Not sure if anyone has suggested it, but Maker's Hill would be a cute name. You're using part of "Maksy" but it is not overly exclusive because it is also referencing your creative side without limiting it to sewing or film-making, or any other specific form of "making." And you get the "Hill" part, which is a bonus.

I was working in a fabric store, a couple weeks before it was about to be shut down and all our shelving was being removed piecemeal. A woman walks in, walks up to me, looks me in the eye, and just says one word:
      "Boning."
And without missing a beat, I point and say, "Right there, on the floor."

Farm name suggestion: get a pair of binoculars and find our what the local birds are. Choose your favourite one, name the farm after it (or a group of those birds, like a murder of crows or a parliament of owls). So you could live in Starling Hill Farm, or Goldfinch Charm. Also, do you like alliteration? Like Curlew Cottage or Mockingbird Manor.

I love the deep dives into one project, ESPECIALLY when creators show their mistakes! I enjoy TH-cam shorts and TikTok and such for mindless scrolling, but so often lately I see sewing videos that are like 5 minutes or less highlights reels when I want to see the nitty gritty! Especially the planning, sourcing, the decision process, all that!
Its like Food Network Cake Wars vs. Great British Bake Off. Sure, the drama on Cake Wars is sometimes fun but they never talk about the actual art form, it's all setting up bakers to fail then watching the car crash. Great British Bake Off is calming, full of positivity and you learn things in a fun way, watching masters of an art form create.
You're my Great British Bake Off 😅 I feel good and positive after watching, I learn from your mistakes and successes and you entertain me as I go!
Also there are so many sewing things no one ever tells you! I like that you go from the start and talk about all the things! But then again, as someone else said you could probably make a video about a tablecloth and I would be like YES

Hi Rachel! I just want to tell you that the Gandalf video is one of my absolute favorites!! I am one of those people who goes back and watches it again whenever I want to smile. One of my favorite things about that video is how obvious it is that you had fun making it! I subscribed because your entire channel is just so cozy and welcoming. Add on top of that how much you enjoy your projects and the Frodo or rare Binx sighting, you are one of my favorite youtubers.
Edit: I love the bodice you made it's sooo cute! Farm name ideas: Frodo's Farm? Hobbit Hill is the other one but I'm pretty sure that's taken

The BBC “aka original” version of Ghosts is HILARIOUS. The first 3 seasons are on HBO Max. The 4th season is out but not available in the US…yet.

The striped side turned out so nice! As for shows, now's a great time to get into Critical Role 🐻🌸 The Legend of Vox Machina on Prime is a good adaptation, the first two episodes are a lil off but the rest are so fun. Lots of fantasy/steampunk aesthetic.

I can very highly recommend 1 For All too, they're a hilarious Aussie team making D&D content which mainly shows the team fully in-character & in costume, causing carnage across their fantasy world... 😆 Their musical episode "Bardic Inspiration" is an awesome place to start!

I've always loved "New Moon Farm" from the Emily of New Moon books by L.M. Montgomery (author of Anne of Green Gables). I found it rather whimsical.
Also loved your Gandalf video. It makes me smile every time I see it!

DOLLFACE IS SO GOOD!!!!!!!! it's like a woman who left a 5yr long relationship that totally consumed her and now she has to reconnect with friends and figure out how to have her own life. it's super campy and fun and there's a talking cat lady which i love and yeah! Idk how good it'd be for you and Nick, but it could definitely be a you show

    I love your cozy videos!
    My show recommendations are:
#1. Arthdal Chronicles (A Korean fantasy series with amazing world building!)
#2. Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell (you've probably seen it, but just in case, fictional history but with magic)
    And... more of a podcast:
#3. Critical Role. (A group of voice actors playing D&D and all their shenanigans)

I love this it’s so cute! I just made a reversible skirt, and a little tip. If you do it by machine match the bobbin thread to the bottom fabric and the top thread to the top fabric then you won’t see it on either side!!
