I wish I loved Britpop when I was young in 90's. Then I preferred to listen Eurodance instead. Now, with my maturity, I find this music so good for me. Unfortunately, Britpop is gone together with my adolescence.
All of my freinds never knew this band but i saw thier gigs in Tokyo and was totally knocked out. The band isn't exist anymore but in my heart, they are for real, still. When i feel like shit, i put them on because of my fave. Thanx for upload.
Brings back memories of seeing them live in Salisbury in 1999, amazing - remember being blown away by this hearing it the first time that night. So many brilliant songs by this band!

Gene garnered a dedicated following despite having few (any?) songs that relected their respected musical ability. Gene never really "DID" anything. Shame really bcause from between 94 and 97 it was a case of pretty much "anything goes!" Gene were destined to be the Britpops "also rans" And they've 0only themselves to blame for that....... Heck if Shed Seven could produce a top ten album then surely they should have aswell?!! Zero sympathy ........ but a great band!!
No phones recording the whole gig. People drinking, jumping around, actually enjoying the music and not giving a fuck. Good times.

If you look up Gene at the Leadmill most of the tracks are available. 2004 gig.They made a DVD of it . I was there- lucky me- brilliant .
