Wow, after almost a year of me hoping he'd take a swing at it, Swiss001 FINALLY flew the xfa-36a... THANK YOU.
Okay, to actually address whatever that weird maneuver was, I have not encountered that bug before...
veering off course on take off happened to me before, but the way that xfa flew hard rudder sideways seems like a forced rudder input on your behalf.
In regards to it's top speed I think it's good, however the issue that I'm aware of but I've not been able to fix properly so far, is that it accelerates way too fast.
once you kick it past 75% throttle the afterburners activate and if I try to up the threshhold, there's no gradience between going from 0 afterburner to full afterburner.
hope you liked it for what it was worth since it was free and will remain free.
I love your plane. It's top-notch for freeware and has been a blast to fly along with the Darkstar.
While I don't simulate, it would be awesome if this plane was added to FlightGear. Great design btw. :)

future Chief Beeflet here, Update 0.9 dropped. sorry to say it's still a big work in progress.
A few things I've noticed about the XFA-36A:
- Make sure to manually set flaps to 0 before takeoff. Sometimes the flaps will be set to like half-out when you spawn, dunno why.
- Don't mess with the elevator trim until you're airborne.
- When taking off, keep the throttle below 40% or it'll go squirrelly on you. This thing will accelerate almost fast enough to take off just from rolling after releasing parking brakes.
- I was able to get it up to Mach 5, but I bet it can go faster. It gets reeeeally shaky at that speed though.
- It has working spoilers, but I can't see them physically. Flaps at full function similarly to the ones on the Spitfire.
- It can land at Pemberton, BC Airport (CYPS), but barely. I stopped about 20 feet short of the end of the runway. Toe brakes are weak as hell.
EDIT: I found out that MSFS will automatically deploy flaps/set trim a little if you spawn on runway, apparently that's not an issue specifically with this aircraft.
As stated by numerous others, you need airlandFS to fly most heli's in the sim since rotary wing aircraft aren't officially supported/modeled in the sim (coming this summer i believe).
I thought the game would've had support for helicopters, considering that Microsoft Flight Simulator X had it, but then again I didn't even try out MSFS2020.

The Mi2 like most Helicopters in MSFS require an external app and config file to fly properly.
Mi-2 helicopter was used in Poland for a while as a crop sprayer, police heli, ambulance and more, I've seen these spraying crops as a kid in 80s now that was an event in the village 😂
Well thank you for the first review of how helicopters fly WITHOUT AirlandFS, people seem to forget it is Airland doing all the hard work !
