Anytime I ask about how to get separation in a mix, that is the album I always put into the question. Not only is that album a wall of sound but at the same time you can hear the separation between the instruments. Yes it was, but for some reason when you go on the Colin Richardson AllMusic page, he's also listed there as mixing (whereas if you go ont he Allmusic page of Iowa, he's not listed at all). I've seen other mentions on his AllMusic page of albums which i'm pretty sure he didn't mix (like vol 3 by Slipknot). So the Allmusic personal page seems to not be very accurate, OR maybe he has a mention because he mixed the live (from 9.0 live) trackes that were added as bonus tracks on the rerelease of Iowa, Vol 3 ....

Let's face it, Mendel, just your playing technique will make ANY amp sim sound gooooood..., I dare you a challenge to prove me wrong. However, I agree the Colin Richardson (pack) sounds ridiculous!
It depends on the project, with Neural I can use my own IR’s which I prefer sometimes. But the tones out of the box on this one are amazing from the get go.
I know nothing about mixing. I just come here to jam to the intros. Always an awesome 30s of my day.
