Holy crap Doug looks like the kind of guy who's been stranded in a desert island with a volleyball
That's awesome! 😂
Without the weight loss though. 🤷♂️ 😂
He's the oldest looking 36 year old man I've ever seen.
@@yodaisgod2stress my man stress
I love how Doug is like "I love my life and I make plenty of money." and Graham is like "why dont you start another business?"
Graham is a 2 foot tall stooge.
As some one who started a business almost 20 yrs ago and put my hear and soul in to getting it to run, the 100 hr weeks, no sleep, doing what ever was needed to make it fly. I love hearing Doug talk about how he does not want to do it again. I feel the same way. I love my business but I am not the same person I was back then. I feel ya!!!
Is this basically what they call burnout? The dedication you use to have to put in the hours is gone?
@@Math-Tulane Yes and no. In my case it's more that there are other areas of my life I want to focus on more. Like kids, family, friends, hobbies, enjoying the fruits of my labor. If I grind more 100 hr weeks and start another business, so what? I took a step back and looked at everything. It's all taken care of. I'm in a good place. Now I'm just maintaining that good place.
@@pballfin 100 hour weeks basically means 14 hour days 7 days a week of work ? Correct?
@@Math-Tulane yup.
@@pballfinholy smokes. I wish I had your motivation. If I did had your motivation I would have for sure got my PhD in math. Due to depression leading to losing motivation; I wasn’t able to finish my PhD. Oh well
100% of Doug’s success is because of his genuineness. It reaches everyone!
People that haven't done it seriously have no idea how hard starting and running a successful business is.
I did it. It was easy.
@saljablo2767 And what did you do?
@@rmp5s I own a concrete business. Multiple teams, trucks, etc.
@saljablo2767 Glad it's easy for you. 👍
People will complain they don't pay their "fair share" though
Shit & bids should be Doug’s sister company to cars & bids for all those clapped out civics 😂
I've watched Doug for almost 8 years and somehow I never noticed he had a lisp
Thiiiiisssssssssssssssssssssssssss?
Where did you notice this?
Maybe you didn’t notice because he doesn’t?
What lisp? Maybe your ears have a lisp. Go back to your country.
The only thing I don’t like about C&Bs is the number of dealers getting in and adding on the fees on top of what you are already paying.
Why don’t you cry about it
I love the honesty, the pertinent questions, and the fact that Doug is so excited about the dad life! (It's the best)
Doug is the only man I heard that said he was shocked fatherhood was a great feeling 😭😭 austimo
Prior to watching this, I always thought that Doug was simply a promoter and pitch man. After this video, I have a new and renewed respect for him and his intelligence. I’m now subscribed to the iced coffee hour and think that these two young men are brilliant as Doug. I’m 70 years old and don’t throw compliments around lightly.
Doug kept it real.
Having kids can fucking suck initially. Im glad shit worked out for him
Only if you’re not prepared. Idiotic take.
I’ve started 4 businesses these last 5 years with a couple of them failing, and Doug’s right, I’m never gona do it again. It’s such a headache to deal with employees but more importantly, the formalities and red tape down to the local city level. People have absolutely zero clue how much red tape there is and all the crap you have to keep organized because of the red tape and reporting. In hindsight, I think big companies have lobbied for more red tape over the decades, especially with cities and states, in order to have less competition. There would be a lot more entrepreneurs if it wasn’t for all the unnecessary headaches.
You're trying to start it in the wrong city then. A 1,000-2,000 person town that begs for new businesses would never put you through that.
@@jbake1You’re completely right, not gona lie. The initial instinct is to open a business in a bigger city for more volume and revenue, but you’re right, people underestimate small towns. They have volume too, and much less red tape. As a reference, two of my failures were in Denver. It has turned so far left, that there’s control down to the color of the patio chairs that a restaurant puts in their patio (true story).
@@ngj96543 sure! However, Internet Sales have rendered specific markets to be obsolete, especially if you can utilize Advertisements well. Of course, that depends on what Industry you are in, but it applies to most.
Using Denver as an example: that's why places like Castle Rock are exploding; especially in the Corporate sector. That's why Manitoba Springs outside of Colorado Springs even exists. That's why Corporate Distribution Centers exploit small towns surrounding big cities. It doesn't make more sense, it saves more cents. Is why Alabama (my home) has so many Govt Contracts, especially Defense Sector ones. We can build the Government something cheaper and better than any other State. The reality of these things are sad, not everyone can win, but it makes the world go round. And that's worth it, so far.
@@ngj96543 Internet Sales have made specific markets obsolete; people just aren't that good at marketing properly. Using Denver as an example: that's why Castle Rock is booming, especially in the Corporate Sector. That's why Manitoba Springs even exists outside of Colorado Springs. Corporate Distribution Centers are always outside of Cities; not because it makes sense, because it saves cents.

What a fantastic interview... GREAT QUESTIONS and honest, involved answers. I really enjoyed this. Subscribing!

Saabkyle04 is still the GOAT
The man just said he is stressed and graham says “start another business” way to talk on deaf ears 🤣🤣🤣🤣
He’s a 2 foot tall stooge
Been there done that. Creating a succesful business is tiring and once you make it successful you hold onto that shit for as long as you can and invest elsewhere too real estate stocks etc. Creating another one is scary the amount of work needed
Doug is the kind of guy to demand bumper to bumper photography.
Absolutely right with Doug here.
Fantastic interview
Love that white Countach
I know I can't muster up the fire I once had (now at 73 yo). BUT, I forgive myself. I just say Cosi Cosa. I have my Motorcycle, Cigars, and Vino.
It goes to show you that focusing on execution is far more valuable than coming up with a clever name. Cars and Bids is not creative at all but it works.
I only function under pressure. Existential pressure. My best grades in university were when I had an overloaded schedule. I got into a top tier MBA and then had to perform. I’m growing this company I have now with the same sense of urgency and intensity.
Not enough pressure and I’m a lump of coal. Enough pressure and I’m a diamond.
I can relate to this.
I was not paying attention and the video changed and I thought for sure that this guy was Quentin Tarantino for sure then I looked are they related???
His cousin
@ seriously??
Mr super self made
My god. This comment section is 99% bots.
Hey I’m not a bot, but also don’t forget to buy my crypto
Yep once you become real popular on TH-cam and you get ad money and sponsorships you essentially become a production company. You are running a business with employees and paying them and trying to retain them with benefits and good pay. Some people can do that and some sadly can't.
Agree with some of the comments - Now that Doug has been able to create some breathing room from setting up and running C&B, he maybe can work on his personal hygiene.
Sorry Hoovie....I'm not going on cars and bids and spending thousands over the real value because you reviewed it.
No, people go to Doug’s site because of the brand name and it’s curated to fun cars.
Plenty of other sites you can to that will sell your 2002 Camry with 200k miles
Not sure if Doug is okay
I’ve never seen Doug talk and move his hands so little. I didn’t think he was capable.
Filippo has changed.
Did doug just rip on BAT?!? 😮
Youd think he'd have time to take a shower since selling out to AutoTrader.
He just copied bring a trailer. Genius.
Let me guess. You are not a business owner yourself?
They copy him 😂😂😂😂😊
@@kiddharper7778 Bring a trailer came out in 2007, cars and bids in 2020
You 3 are very cool modern guys. Thank you.
Boats and bids!
F*ck... I'm old already.
Adaxum is perfect for early birds.
Adaxum’s DeFi potential feels real.
For the watches, Grailzee does a good job. Transparency, authentication verification, decent volume.
Happy to have some ADX.
Adaxum is gaining serious traction.
Businesses should not have to pay their employees
Credit to Doug for his cars and bids success.
Hey all, Adaxum presale still open-early opportunities like this don’t last.
I think gas mileage regulations are a big reason why you see less manuals. Automatics can have more gears and can have long gears to pass emission testing but short gears to have fun.
cars and bids is overpriced platform. there plenty of platforms where you can get same cars much cheaper!
Adaxum presale is gaining momentum.
Hes different from last time because he was on medication
It's a car podcast
Not a personal one
ADX combines utility with innovation-a great mix for long-term success.
ADX is a hidden gem right now, but it won’t be for long. Locked in my position early in the presale!
Adaxum presale is buzzing worldwide.
Adaxum: Early entry, big rewards.
Feeling bullish on Adaxum after joining the presale. This project has everything it needs to succeed.
"it only worked because I had the audience" vs "do it when you're young"(when you dont have the audience
Glad I got ADX early.
ADX presale is almost over!
Cars & Bids sucks. It's a bunch of used Teslas and people's junk. Nothing is special. There is a reason why everyone in the industry calls it "Craigs&List". Bring a Trailer is so much better for cool and rare cars.
ADX: early move, big rewards.
Adaxum has strong fundamentals.
ADX is selling out fast.
ADX could explode post-launch!
ADX presale offers solid bonuses. Don’t sleep on this opportunity!
The first 120 days of Doug's business were so stressful he barely made it! 😮 Then, 11 months later, he made an 8 figure exit to AutoTrader. 😂😂😂
Also, Doug is very, very proud of how much money he's made. And rightfully so (seriously, well done) (Though most people would just keep their mouth shut.)) It's clear that you're judging your other TH-camrs and enjoying the Schadenfreude
Yeah seriously, and now he's "too old" for that, he's in his 30s... 😅
ADX presale is a no-brainer.
I like doug
Got my ADX tokens early, feeling confident about the potential returns.
Already participated in the Adaxum presale, and I’m feeling pretty good about the future of ADX. Time to get in while the price is still low!
It's funny bc he's never letting go even though he could've long ago. He's too car need to let go.
Adaxum’s focus on solving real-world problems makes it a standout project in the crypto space.
What Doug is trying to say but isn’t…..is that relationships are more important than money and material wealth. Hopefully Doug develops a relationship with Jesus, the most important one of all. You’ve only got a short time with those cars…….
Not sure why you are preaching here. Maybe it's just what you do. You are not going to change someone's beliefs here, but nice try.
