Interesting video! Though, I don't think there was an original MK8. I think it was always going to be MKvsDC and that the stuff Ed Boon was saying about the game having all new characters meant having the DC people and that the different tone was meant to mean that the violence was getting tone down. That's how I saw it, at least; more of cryptic corporate language than a false promise.

I have to admit, 5:42 was epic trolling on Ed Boon's part, claiming N64 graphics were "too primitve" and that it was time for Playstation gamers to "grow up and join the big boys". Considering how the N64's top selling point was that it had better graphics than any other console at the time and how Playstation owners saw their console as more "grown up" than Nintendo's consoles.

@@MonitorLizardTV you're welcome. Yup, those were the days. Lol, I think it was similar to the 2nd movie. A quick neck break. Center stage. Back then, people knew what they were getting into. I just found your channel. I like lost media stuff, and it'd be great to see the full show again. I think it's considered lost media at this point.
Amazing video! This got me hooked on your content, I hope you grow more!
I'm a fan of your vintage (as in old youtube) style editing!
Omg im so used to the heavy accented names I read nitro as “nitaro” 😂
Fantastic video. I consider myself a huge MK fan, and even I didn't everything you mentioned here. Btw, Sonia in Special Forces was very cool, so I suggest every fan to try her gameplay. Cheers
What looks like a man skinned alive was given attention it they scrapped a robotic demon creature. That’s a felony
I’m so disappointed that ash never got into mk. Like man…..
10:49
We don’t talk about fucking second timeline Sindel
That MK Advance bit had me rollin', dude. Probably because I'm pretty high, but trust me it's funny.
God an mk soundtrack by Pharrell would’ve fucked so hard fr, I’m so mad we missed out on that
9:42
It's so weird to look back at that time and see so many movies wanted to be like Batman Begins when it only made 373.3 million which is not even close to the top 5 highest grossing films of 2005 or even out gross Burton's first Batman
Might've blew peoples minds to see that well a made Batman movie again after how terrible Batman & Robin even though it's my least favorite of the trilogy
I heard that Quan Chi and Harley Quinn were planned to be DLC in Mortal Kombat vs. DC universe but were canceled due to Midway going bankrupt.
Sorry I’m late to this, I think Harley Quinn would I’ve been cool to have as dlc in that game I loved the character since I was a kid! Hopefully she can get into a future mk game
I’ll never forgive WB for fucking the bag with Ash Williams In MK11
3:00 ironic quan chi was announced as dlc for mk1 and harley quinn is rumoured to be in dlc pack 2
I hope we still get Ash Williams.
i remember being 10 and already was a huge nerd abour MK hidden/cancelled characters and how i would recreate them in armageddon's kreate a fighter
Still not over Ash not being in MK11... Hopefully we'll see him in an MK game someday, maybe future dlc for MK1 or maybe a future game all together
Sorry I’m late to this, I agree 100 percent with you I think Ash Williams would have been cool I’ve been wanting the character since I was 12 years old! I thought it was going to happen in mk11 and I was disappointed it didn’t. So I moved on with my life and at this point I don’t think it will happen cause it was a pain to try to get him in mk11 and Bruce Campbell said no
Maybe naming your kid friendly cartoon MK Ultra was a really bad idea, considering what comes up when you google MK Ultra and the horrible experiments and torture people went through during MK Ultras life span. The horrible stuff that we know about anyway.
I'm sorry but I want MK Ultra Girls released ASAP!
Betting money that if those episodes ever see the light of day that noob saibot is gonna be an emo
@@ThivenThaddeus omg this is perfect!

Oh damn I didn't even realise how early I am 😅
THIS IS AN EXCELLENT VIDEO
Hopefully, Ash comes back for Kombat Pack 2 in MK1
Where is Nimbus Terrafaux? Probably with Error Macro & Hornbuckle. Great vid.
I may not be a fan of Pan anymore but I would've been happy to have seen him finally have his dream come true. Always sucks to see projects with so much effort and love put into em just get canned after a couple years in development. Kinda ironic though, he finally got his wish only for the project to get shelved, on the bright side maybe it'll help him get work on another show as a character designer. Man's artstyle is great.
Well, I’m subbing. This is some interesting info
I could NOT stop laughing at this part! 30:32 Awesome video!
I find it weird that mk wasn't able to get ash William but call of duty was able to
They also got Shredder, who'd be a better fit in mk.
@@p.d.l7023 nah, it would be better in injustice like how the turtles were
Love the video ❤
Cool video dude
this videos a banger fr
I’m surprised that they were so many cancelled media here for MK. The one I find the most interesting is the MK Ultra Girls. Also MK Nitro too.
ngl from what I’m already hearing about the Sub-Zero solo film, it sounds like the Sub-Zero solo film would’ve been an absolute disaster, if ever made a reality
Threshold was for sure more hits than misses, and it's a safe bet to think it would've been bad. But it's also really funny to imagine a world where Sub-Zero got a solo movie before Wonder Woman, Captain America, Nightwing, or Master Chief.
@@MonitorLizardTVperhaps, but it also would've been a waste of time and recourses, if they'd actually gone through w/ making such an abomination, since any non-video game Mortal Kombat media that isn't 18+ or rated R or whatever, is therefore bound to be bad
To be honest id rather have arcade perfect graphics of the first 3 original games on modern systems than the "remake" of the same games in higher res.
11:50 God I love the clerks reference I wasn't even looking at my screen at the moment cuz I'm playing Mortal Kombat 1 they should have called it Mortal Kombat 12 because it is 12 but whatever and all I heard was Randall I'm like wait a second so I had to replay it to watch it awesome reference sorry for the zero punctuation if you got through this novel thank you
The mk ultra girls, sure will be something i really want to see.
A Mileena with problems of comunication
I have to admit, 5:42 was epic trolling on Ed Boon's part, claiming N64 graphics were "too primitve" and that it was time for Playstation gamers to "grow up and join the big boys". Considering how the N64's top selling point was that it had better graphics than any other console at the time and how Playstation owners saw their console as more "grown up" than Nintendo's consoles.
Great video. That MK Ultra girls looks absolutely horrible, haha crap designs haha
Does anyone know the song that plays in the background during the MKX Generations topic 17:33? Sounds almost like the kreate-a-fighter theme but different
The mk uktra girls thing kinda got me interested but why would you use frost of all character
I'm assuming they're running out of female characters that could work as students in a high school setting and Frost had type of role in MK11
WHY THE HELL DON'T THEY GET ASH WILLIAMS IN MORTAL KOMBAT ONE RIGHT NOW?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
26:27
Give this man all the money in the world
Great vid
Mortal Kombat Federation of Martial Arts in its extremely low-budget form feels more like minus 90% of the budget of both the first movie and the Conquest TV series, minus 50% of Annihilation's budget and minus 20% of Defenders of the Realms' budget.
Wish to see an AI upscale of the ill-fated Federation of Martial Arts web series, getting it more better video quality, if anyone is interested.
Subscription due to lost trigun game, this is great as well
to be perfectly honest, as much as I'd *love* Bruce Campbell Ash in Mortal Kombat, I do think BC would be right to be a bit hesitant to see his likeness go through modern MK fatalities...
Also for Mortal Kombat Legacy season 3
Eric Roberts played Bo Rai Cho 💀
@frostverseyt7814 skinny white guy plays chubby Asian character 😂
Eric Roberts really will take any job.
Not gonna lie i d watch that. I died when i saw his cameo in cable gut. Brilliant😂😂😂
True story: when the 3rd game first came out, there was a stage show of MK. When they came through our city, my ex gf did all of their hair for the show.
29:48 in the original timeline Jax never losed his arms, the metal arms are just extra equipment.
wow lost media monday
i am in man
just hoping that some lost media is just by chance not lost at all
I heard from a pal’s tweet today, which she retweeted that there is some current issues or problems for the Evil Dead game. But I suggest you check it out for yourself, Lizard! As a fellow wisher of Ash to be placed in back then!
14:24 where this clip is came from? i'm really curious
It's from the MTV series Drawn Together! Scorpion had a quick cameo in an episode when they were interviewing for new roommates.
@@MonitorLizardTV I see, thank's
Ash needs to be in an MK game.
rockin with lizards
Please make a part 2

19:57 have you mentioned Sub-Zero mythology yet or I believe I have this game called Mortal Kombat Gemini I saw it sitting somewhere and I was like what the hell is this so I picked it up and grabbed it knowing that I can never play it because I don't think I have a system that works to play it on. Thank you Xbox and Playstation 4 that every system should be backwards compatible all the way from the beginning until now I mean crap I would spend an extra $100 if that was the case
32:00 I'll have you know the Backstreet Boys toys were Burger King Kid's meal toys, not McDonalds. I should know, I had Nick, AJ and Howie. Also got Men in Black toys from Burger King.
I am confident that more people bought MK11 to play as Robocop than Fujin.
