- The Swap Meet was pretty weak this weekend so we checked out a hole in the wall thrift store. It turned out really well for us and we ended up spending over $50.

You have to get the best deal. It can be dick move to gouge them on the price, but majority of the time a simple bargain won't hurt.
You know basically most of the stuff you buy from swap meet is tax free and probably being sold just over enough for the seller to purchase a pack of bologna and loaf of bread. So, why in the hell would a person already knowing they're getting a decent deal will try to haggle that down, it's videos like this that upsets me. PS like the comment "How much is this, uh I can get it off of ebay...then take your ass to ebay and leave me the F along with your cheap ass.
+Michael Angel the swap meet is full of people who bought all their items at garage sales that morning. These people are rude and often steal or low ball at the garages sales they go to.
If It's like the ones here, the sellers were lazy and haggeled half the stuff from other sellers before the customers showed up. I went to sell some of my duplicate games at at swap meet in town, and as soon as I had my table set up another seller tried to tell me the games were worth $0.50 apiece. I sent him packing, but I did see him buying games from many other sellers. Now I just go as people are setting up and buy the games before he can.
Putting that Firestriker cart down like 5 times really hurt my hurt especially cause its like a 50-60$ game loose

were you seriously talking ebay prices in store? Never do that, even if the owner seems to be out of earshot. there was a trhift store around here that was a goldmine, always shad games at great prices. Once when I was in there a kid started talking loudly to his mom about how good of deals stuff was compared to ebay, now their prices are outrageous.
You're telling me. I found a silver PS2 slim (SCPH-77001) at a Salvation Army that was marked at $9.99, which came with the system (slightly scratched but works great) and power cord, but I ended up paying only $4.99 for it. I didn't say SHIT when I bought it! All I did was pay, waved good night and walked the fuck out...
Amazon prices(2015): Zelda a Link to the Past($36.00, cart only, good sticker), Donkey Kong Country($24.99, cart only), Super Smash Bros Melee($57.49, disc only, resurfaced), snes-mini($65.29, console only), snes controller($13.60, moderate wear). Should I just never buy from amazon again? The prices locally tend to be higher than on amazon, so what can I do?

25 for pokemon isnt good but saying most you would do is 5 is just dumb the game is worth like 20 and just hoping to get it from someone who doesnt know is lame

Had some of those ps2 games as a kid. Still have them to this day. I don't wanna sell them because I don't wanna throw away my childhood but at the same time I wanna make money... Might as well go hunting for games

If they were going to pay ebay prices they would buy games on ebay, it's sad that everyone ridicules you for putting the time in and getting good deals.
I wouldn't have told them what the games were worth. I'll sometimes throw a bone if someone is giving me a really good deal...but other wise it's dog eat dog.

I actually set my ebay searches to show only completed listings so I can see what everything has sold for. That way you can see what people are actually paying for games.
You have to set your search to show completed listings though. Just because someone is selling something for a high price doesn't mean it's worth that much. Look at what other people are paying for them.

if you think 25$ for pokemon is bad in my local swapmeet some reseller prices his games as if they were sealed but they are not and most of them are always there (example- legend of zelda windwaker 140$ bad condition too)

i live in the uk and we have car boot sales and some of the prices are crazy for example a guy wanted £40 for an n64 (grey) with no cables, games or controllers. lol nice vid btw subbed.
my god the prices for these games, the thrift store in my town charges one dollar for any older games newer like ps3 3 dollars.

This is what I hate about flea markets in my country. Fucking african curios and other such shit. Or mass produced cheap plastic crap imported from India, China or Pakistan, every third shop at the flea market sells the same fucking crap. I would love to go to a swop meet/fleamarket like this.

I don't understand this, owner wants $12 for Donkey Kong Country, $18 for snes-mini w/av and power cables(even lowers to $16.50), and he offers him $20 for both? So it's like he's saying I'll buy the snes mini for your $18, but I want DKC for $2, an 83% mark down? How does he get away with this stuff? He also gets a snes controller with the snes at the end? wtf? I literally never find deals like this in Portland, Oregon despite there being many thrift stores, pawn shops, goodwills, video game stores, and yard sales. =(
victronex I used to do fairly well in Portland until about a year ago. Never did well at the goodwills, though.
Where do you recommend finding retro games and console? I just want to play them, im not interested in collectibility.
