This is how you do it man, I started my collection off the back of Crash bandicoot wrath of the cortex and Final Fantasy X been worth £4 cash, back in 2010

White when doing the $5 game challenge dont limit yourself to buying games when looking for stuff to flip. Like you said it not easy finding those amazing deals for games. I sell dvds, electronics, toys, figures and some other things so I can just buy what I want or come across for a decent price

White. I noticed that it was getting harder to thrift now since Goodwills are now putting all their games on the ShopGoodwill site.
So if I understand you correctly is that you are trying to find a high end item for $5 or less then resell it and buy more games with the money you make and try to buy a few games with that money and hopefully sell 1 of those to recoup your money and buy more and continue until the end of the year!

Honestly, thinking about trying this. Im not an ebay seller so I'll have to use the crutch of my local retro games store. Might start at $10 instead.
Just found Castlevania Bloodlines for Sega Genesis at a local Goodwill for 4.99. I was shocked and was certain the game wouldn't work. But after just a little bit of cleaning which I do anyway, it works perfectly.

I bought the Nintendo brand GameCube controller port for Nintendo Switch for $10 at my local game store. Came home looked it up and was very happy with my purchase 😊 Very good video. I go to Goodwill often to check for hidden gems. It's rare but sometimes I find good stuff.
A good Goodwill to go to is. A rich area I know in Houston the rich area have so many hidden gems

@@DayOneWhite we just opened a Goodwill in my city. I work for em we had a shit ton genesis games. My manager doesn't care about video games an we can price as we see fit. I just put some snes out today priced them for 2 bucks nothing crazy few wwf games an one nes game for tmnt1. So fingers crossed we can start pushing games out but I'm putting them behind the glass cause I tried putting them on the floor an they just ended up getting stolen.

@@DayOneWhite oh we had a ton of good stuff opening day tmnt for genesis for 10 sealed Wii sports for 4 bucks. Complete series of tv shows like boy meets world,mash for like 3 bucks. First day was insane, too bad not many resellers knew we were open haha
Well I don’t know if you might be able to find any but you might want to consider checking out GameStop because they may have some games under $5 that are worth 3 or 4 times what GameStop is selling it for if you are lucky at catching them slipping on the price also they do occasionally have buy 1 get 1 free sale or other various sales that you can score some good deals on!

Glad your bringing this back, keep in mind that some Mac games can be weirdly expensive. Also assassins creed black flag is probably like a dollar at GameStop, eliminating shipping fees.

I think you are limiting yourself by just looking for video games to flip at the thrift store. It would be cool to see what other valuable items you could find to flip and use that money to expand your game collection. It might be a really good service to show what items of value people should look out for when they go to the thrift stores to make a profit with.
That's basically how I fund my collection now since it's nearly impossible to find video games at thrift stores anymore. I just flip other things I find and use that money to buy video games from other sources.
That is a terrible way to store an AR-15.

Oh yeah-- I've been doing this for years going to Goodwill and other mom and pop stores to find some games tho the real hidden gems there.. so many good mom and pop stores out there you just never know :-)
I recently got locally from FBM OG oled screen vita and 8GB memory card
/9games/ gaming grip and power cable sony branded all for $150 gamestop
didn't help me by transfering a vita from a different store to one
closer to me figures, but i saved money on games all loose carts no
cases .killzone mercenary/blackops declassified/gravity rush/fifa
13/mortal combat/ultimate marvel capcom 3/asssasins creed 3
liberation/freedom wars/playstation allstars battleroyale.

I just restarted my collection over too mainly im looking for now is ps3 ps2 ps1 and psp games and trying to flip any other games and systems my start already is 8 games and Wii system all for $30 i found

Your first $5 collection motivated me to start one and i ended up with over 200 games and 5 consoles. Even have a copy of earthbound thanks to it (however i'm a full time reseller so i get alot more chances). Love this series and wish you the best of luck
