I know that singers have to experiment with their voices and phrasing as well as style and inflections but I don't like it when a singer does a song cover and then ends up trying to sound like the original singer even though they DO a good job of it. Knowing already of what your voice is independently capable of .......I'd like your covers to be more original and with your own musical interpretations. Billie E. seems to have too many near exact copies of her voice and songs and even she seems to copy herself in most of her music losing her uniqueness over time. It gets tiring after a while to hear every song sung the same way. A couple of my personal favorites of examples of musical uniqueness are from singers like Heize, IU, LeeHi, Dean, JunK, Zico and a few others. Even the ladies of the group "New Jeans" each have some pretty good individual sounds. Minji, especially. Her duet with IU is fantastic. So, all I'm saying is.............I love your style and voice when you sing in your own way. I WANT you to succeed and become the unique and fantastic singer that you were meant to be. Keep your cover songs all YOU and in your own style. You have the talent already.............so use it. I'll be out here listening.
