I received my car from the Tesla Austin factory and have had zero ratles or any other problem after almost one year of service. By far the Tesla is the best vehicle purchase I have ever had owned.
Really helpful video. Like you, I have bought covers for the floor mounted air vents. However, I have a rattle caused by a single tic tac dropping into the rear air vents between the seats. I have removed the vents to try and find it, but have not found it yet. The search goes on!
OK helpful, as I knew about most of it, but didn't think about the vents. Thanks. The other issue I have is wind noise in the doors. Adjusting the foam trim up a bit helps with that.
I had the creeking from the boot on my 23 MYP on rough roads. Tesla mobile service in the end sorted by cutting back the shorter rubber trim on the outside of the one you pointed out you lubricated with silicon gel.
I've not experienced that. But usefully door card & trim rattles are from the plastic retaining clips behind. It'll need to removing to make sure none are broken, then also wrapping some tape around them makes them fit more snugly and stops any vibration.
this worked for me. B-pillar trim rattle - th-cam.com/video/KctTaFCZhWE/w-d-xo.html I ended up putting on more than this guy to fix the rattle but it does work. It was driving me nuts trying to find it and i thought it would be the door card but this is a much easier fix if it is this.
I had the same creaking from the tailgate, tesla told me its dirt under the seals on the edge. I ended up putting fabric tape where the seals touch the bodywork and never had the problem again.
@@GoGreenAutos Don't go crazy with the tape. You just need to do the top parts on the car's side. There is a thread on "Tesla Motor Club" forum about this. Search for the thread "Creaking tailgate - mobile technician visit" Check post 33 on page 2 for a picture of the location.
I had a rattle with middle rear seat. Solved it by putting duct tape on the bar for the latch. On the boot lid, which way to turn it? Is it counter clockwise to come out? Clockwise to go in and less pressure on the lock latch?
I'm going to do a video on the boot lid bump stops as its opposite to what you'd think. You would have thought that winding them in so the lid is sat harder on the rubber seals would solve it, but its the opposite - it needs to sit harder on the bump stops.
hello from Istanbul. i had this annoying thin rattle coming from the dash / pillar area when driving on low speeds, took it to Tesla service and they put an isolation inside the mirror cap housing the cameras. problem solved. '24 RWD Berlin.
I suggest that you drive both before committing....i had an order for a polestar; then cancelled it after a test drive. Dont expect the polestar to be anywhere near as good as proper Volvo's of yesteryear otherwise you will be very disappointed, remember they are of Chinese origin now, so totally different. I got the model Y eventually which is far superior imo.
With all due respect and im not knocking Tesla because i want one but there is build quality thing a weather thing. Im sure it can be worked out with a bit of fettling

Park on a steep hill, drive or put the front wheels on a steep bank and rock the car forward/backwards.

Yes well worth buying the vent grilles as they're only a few quid.

Is this thr one on the hatchback lid itself?
Where, and by how much did yhey cut it back?
Yes that’s the one. They are smaller thinner seals. They removed a few inches I believe
It would be great if you could send me a photo or video showing me?

At 4:58 the left lower bump stop creaks when you turn it. Have you considered it might be a bump stop that is the cause?
I don't think so. However, I will be doing a separate video on bump stops very soon as it's proven to be tricky to get them just right.
Had mine a week and the main one for me is the rear view mirror housing and also the passenger seat belt if it’s down the side of the seat unbuckled.
Someone else has commented "Tesla service and they put an isolation inside the mirror cap housing the cameras. problem solved"
I got one model y in October and another company car in December both have rattles from the front door cards/ dash area any insights for those ?

Really. So that would be effectively the same as lubricating the rubber, which I found didn't make any difference.
Very interesting.
I know but it worked ,the creaking was really letting down a brilliant car.

Are these the seals attached to the tailgare lid?
Yes they are

@@GoGreenAutos have you tried sillicone on the bump stop mating surfaces? Maybe it is these that are creakinf?
Ill try that hack on the seat latch👍
Do you just wrap 1 turn of tape around the latch bar?
@ 1 turn wasn’t enough. I think I did 2 turns. Hit the mid seat backrest to test if it still makes the noise.
I think the parcel shelf makes a lot of noise as it’s definitely quieter with it removed
I've not found that. But then there are three versions of the parcel shelf, depending on how old the car is and what factory it came from.
@ 2024 model got it in February
i had the same issue, removed the parcel, no rattles. '24 Berlin RWD

Quite a few here have commented about a noise from the mirror.
Like & Subscribe mates! Very good content! 💪
Much appreciated
You scared me now. I was thinking tesla, but now I will take Polestar under consideration as well. Thanks a lot. Merry Christmas.

Would've been nice to hear the creaking noise before you got it fixed
I'll be doing a video on this soon.
Useful practical video. Given Elon Musk's anti-UK and anti-democratic views, the best thing we Brits can do is not to buy a Tesla. Thanks.
oh dear. myopic insight
So you only buy a car that is 100% Made in a democratic country and the owner/CEO has a democratic view? Good luck with the research.
@jonfrench7133 Oh dear, wrong again.
In what way is Elon anti-democratic?
Is it better to buy chinese cars from a communist dictatur state or VW with there diesel gate
