I was happy to see the stone-on-stone setting in the first pendant. I have thought how perfect that would be when a gorgeous stone has a pock or spot of sand, rather than grind away beautiful color. All-in-all you have very nice collection.

I absolutely LOVED this video Justin.
The stories behind each gem, the meaning of them to you, and the emotions so genuine just made this video so much better. I’ve always known you and yours are such good down to earth people. GOOD people. I thank you so much for sharing these stories with us, because you didn’t have to do that. Thank you for that.

the ring reminds me of a terry pratchet quote “This, milord, is my family's axe. We have owned it for almost nine hundred years, see. Of course, sometimes it needed a new blade. And sometimes it has required a new handle, new designs on the metalwork, a little refreshing of the ornamentation . . . but is this not the nine hundred-year-old axe of my family? And because it has changed gently over time, it is still a pretty good axe, y'know. Pretty good.” you can change the stone and you can change the ring but it all just adds to the story and the history, it is still the ring of your father

I ran my own business for his life and over the years as he got older he wanted to take over the business once I was ready for retirement. Well four years ago I was in a accident and can work he went on and got a job in a dealership I am proud of him but I am so upset about the accident I just can't get over it. But your story makes me realize how much I love him.thank you

I've had similar experience with jewelry from my mother and grandmother. I've had pieces re-fashioned, and it brings their memory forward into my daughter's childhood. She sees me wear and enjoy the pieces that I wear almost everyday as a mini tribute to my fore mothers, the result is my daughter has my grandmother, my mother, and my own stories woven into the legacy of each piece. ♡

Just watch his videos and you see he gets to a point sometimes where something bad happens (potch through the middle, sand in the worst spots etc) but through his skill he always brings a beautiful stone out of it. Thanks for sharing your collection so far, and the special stories you associate with each piece. Loved the final carving in particular -- which reminded me of a sculpture I made in year 10 art (of the same subject, about the size of a rock melon, or 2 large grapefruit).
