As I watched this video in the early morning while quietly sipping my coffee, I appreciated the gentle start to this video with the foggy Horseshoe Bay scenes. Thanks for this.
Great video Bri. I love that you can keep your cool when there are distractions around you…and that pano abstract was just beautiful. New subscriber here 👍
I really enjoyed this vlog, Bri. You are getting quite artful with the b-roll. I'm sure you were happy with your collection of images at the end of the trip. I particularly loved the pano with the cormorant spreading his wings on the misty lake. Truly lovely.
Some fine work, Bri. Down where I live (Colorado Rockies) we seldom have prolonged foggy periods and I envy the kind of atmospheric shots you have shown from around Vancouver and over in the U.K. I came across your channel a month ago and have enjoyed several of your videos. Thanks.
That's made my day Bri, a Martin on the stump takes the image to another level. All images are great and it looks like you had a good time. Thanks for plugging Gavins book as i don't think he advertises it much.
We are in the middle of getting our house ready for sale, and trying to move to the U.P. of Michigan. I cannot even begin to describe how your videos help me to identify things I see here. They also remind me to keep plenty of sh*t tickets in my camera bag. I went out with a friend to do some fall photography and he needed to stop at a far tree, only to find he locked his keys in his truck. Took 6 hours for Roadside Assistance to get to us. I always love your videos. You explain your ideas so simply and to the point and you never seem to be .....Grumpy? Great job BB!!! I look forward to seeing more of these videos!
Bri, My favorite image was the one with the lone cormorant! Of course, they were all good images and certainly appreciate the way you explain how to find a composition.
Gavin is such a git... cracks me up every time. 🤣 I love how you chaps meet up and collaborate both in Canada and Britain and thus show up in each other's videos. Well done Bri... for both the photos and the video. Keep 'em comin' sir!
Hi Bri - another really great Vlog, I really enjoy the journey that you take us on. Your photos of the tree stump and the bracketing - very inspiring. The patterns are amazing.
What's up Bri? Look like you're going to be alright as a TH-cam Vloger. You know how to maintain a story line from start to finish without drifting off into something ells. And, your choice of shots are really nice. Whats up Adam, Gavin, and the rest of the crew. May God bless you all! Peace!
thanks Bri loved the video, its the first one I've watched and very glad I did. Some absolutely stunning shots , I loved the lone cormorant with the mist , absolutely sublime and that abstract some was class as well. Great shots , great video !
Gavin's a pissah! 😂😆 I enjoy incorporating wildlife in landscape photography, and landscape in wildlife photography. They're complementary components of nature. That last image of the silhouetted cormorant really appeals to the minimalist in me.
Wow Brian - amazing images and a great adventure video. Very nice to have that critter on the fairy tree - and also that bird-shot was very nice to me. Thanks for sharing 👍😁
Another great video! Glad to see you back in BC and in good spirits to boot. The Lake District was fine but the forests of BC really suit you. As always, excellent B roll, by far the best I’ve seen. It’s very often better than some photographer’s compositions. Thanks for taking us on the adventure.
Very nice Brian! 💖 I like how you came away with something different than what we usually see from the others at the same locations. 👍 Looking forward to the next!
I don't know if I'm the only one, but these pattern shots seem like areal photos to me, and I imagine myself in a hot air balloon looking down at unique land formations down below. Nice.
Hi Bri: Another wonderful video. I really liked your version of the Fairy Tree, and I must say that I have never seen a version that included a pine martin. Well done! I think you may have been in the exact location I was in October when I captured my image. This is such a special place indeed. The Port Renfrew area was our favourite location during our two-weeks out west. Cheers, Keith (Barrie, Ontario)
Nice video✊🏼 the only one I didn’t like was the blurry sun with the motion blur that covered the rock but, the video of it🤙🏼 I can watch all day! Love the close up concept (been doing that myself) hey, I’m catching up to you I am almost at 200 subscribers! 😂😂😂🤣🤣 thanks for sharing Bri.
Some wonderful images there Bri. I don't know why I feel compelled to pic a favourite as there's something compelling in all of them. That said, the closing image of the cormorant on the lake is just beaut. Well done, glad to see you out and about and enjoying yourself (despite the video bombers)
Great video and images Brian. Suggest Garvin is not in any film with you, looking a mite chunky me think ! Amanda should get her mum to supervise Garvins diet. Ho ho
A great video Bri, I like the moss covered tree image. The third image, was it an ICM? A superb set of images. I thought Gavin would plug his book, when he casually walked up.lol
Thanks Andrew 😉 The third image was taken at a long focal length to capture the layers of the huge waves coming in, longer shutter speed, then waited for largest wave to cover the sun leaving the colour behind. Glad you liked the video/images 😊👍
Nice to see you back on the island and a great video. No doubt someone has told you its a Mink not a Marten. Marten's are generally nocturnal. Minks detested in the UK as an invasive species. Really love the Cormorant on the rock on Fairy lake with that mist! I love that caostline from Sooke up to Port Renfrew but don't drink any tea with the brand name "fog" in it as its tastes like fog!
Another bunch of great images Bri! Keep up the fabulous content. I was able to get a great sunrise shot from the Cypress Lookout across the recent inversion. I thought of the location thanks to an earlier film of yours from that same location...which is to say your work has genuinely helped me in my own journey as hobbyist ;)
I’m going to be coming to the island this year maybe. Iv’e looked up Fairy lake. I cant seem to find the road that is next to it. I’d love to meet up with you guys to get directions to some of the nice spots for shots.
@@BriBarnhamPhotography What a load of cheek! Letting us see all those good spots on Vancouver Island, and then buggering off to Nova Scotia. As his Dad would say “What’s the bugga been up to now!” 😂 😂
lone tree with the Martin ---- now that made it your photo
Thanks Duncan right place at the right time 😊
Keeping your sanity with that bunch is a challenge unto itself. 👍🥂

Was the same for me at Fairy Lake. Sopping wet first morning, calm and gorgeous the second. Wonderful shot at Sombrio 😍😍🇨🇦❤️
Great area to photograph, will hopefully be heading back there at some point😊👍
Good to see you back in Canada, excellent video. Great set of images too Bri, you've outdone yourself!

Great shot! I'll bet Gavin doesn't have a shot of that tree/stump with an animal on it!
Think it was definitely a first at the fairy lake tree 😊👍

more likely a mink, which are aquatic mustelids. martens would also be in the area, but like to stay up in large conifers ...

It's a mink, not a marten. Martens don't like water, minks hunt even underwater. Great video nonetheless.
