For the main spice I would personally recommend that you use Tex mex, roasted garlic chicken rub or even something g like chili if you want to be more spicy. It can be anything pretty much. ???
Theyre pretty expensive in my country. One package is like 10 euros from the Asia market
I've had this soo many times.. I really love it and the best part is the thick curry, it's the perfect balance between sticky and creamy and somehow it goes so well along with the fried chicken 😁
His videos are so comforting ❤
finally a dish from my country! i’m so happy that you are doing a video on katsu curry as it is one of my favorite dishes!
Hii are you Japanese? 🤭
@@starxxi5948 yes!
🗿確かに美味いね
Jap food mid chinese and korean are better
@@joshuakim3734 Everyone here was having a good time and being nice as far as I can tell until you decided to show up and start unnecessarily trying to diss on others for no reason. There's no reason for that, don't spend your time in life just trying to bring others down, it's bad for both you and those around you. Try to uplift those you interact with instead, you'll feel better and people you interact with will appreciate it.
I'm not Japanese, but their curry really hits me home. Also, You should try Soup Curry from Hokkaido.
Oh okay thanks for the recommendation brother
curry soup
You know it's good if it's from Japan.
so is fukushima water
Crazy no
YESSS THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY FAVOURITE CHILDHOOD DISH 🇯🇵🍛❤️❤️❤️
No way! Katsu curry is my absolute favorite dish of all time, so glad you are reviewing it!
As someone who has never eaten this thing, I can confirm that this was good.
You made me crave chickens 😭
As delicious chicken katsu curry with fragrant white rice is, I would recommend you to try:
Fish head curry with white rice. Fish head curry is the best curry. In Malaysia, everybody loves fish head curry. It’s originated in Singapore, back then it’s part of Malaya.
fun fact from a random Japanese here
"katsu curry"→curry with katsu
"curry katsu"→curry flavored katsu or curry inside katsu
…wait I noticed maybe language in general does this
What is katsu? I've always thought katsu is pork, is it not?
@@crapy_kawa7805 fried pork cutlet, “katsu” or “カツ” is quite literally just a shortened version of the English word cutlet.
@@crapy_kawa7805 Tonkatsu would be fried pork cutlet. Katsu itself can be chicken, beef or even seafood (although it’s usually pork)
I think 'Katsu' means fried cutlet? Any cutlet...
@@crapy_kawa7805 "Katsu" is just cutlet in Japanese intonation😉
You cover something with egg, flower and bread crums then fry and it would be katsu!
Love Japan ❤️. Their culture, food, anime and their lovely residents. Even though I went to Japan, I still love it. Amazing video by the way.
Me too. If u want to learn Japanese, pls let me know
katsu curry is definitely a top 3 meal
Omg this is literally my fav dish of all time
You may have not tried karaage (Japanese fried chicken) yet. Curry is clearly a WOW, the Japanese hone in on dishes and work them to perfection. Udon, tonkatsu, ramen, yakitori (marinated), gyoza, even coffee (Japan doesn't grow beans but serves the best coffee).
Yes Karaage is the one he should try this year.
OMG! Yes! This with a side of gyoza and karaage maybe and omelette 🥰🥰🥰
When you hear it’s from Japan you know it’s gonna be the best food you’ve ever eaten
Not really. I think Italian food us way better. Just my humble opinion
@@roses993 I respect it
Not really
@@kaytee789 that’s your opinion

I am Korean and have had this be fore….IT IS AMAZING
One of my favorites
As a Japanese 🇯🇵 I've tried Katsu Kurry and it melted my tongue 😍 in delight and 🇯🇵 ❤ 🇳🇱 it's nice that you liked our dish 😁
mmm gotta love katsu, katsudon takes the cake for me
it’s the crispy fried pork served over rice, basically raw egg (it cooks over the hot pork), and a sweet thick eel sauce
Katsudon*
Sounds delicious
The fact that my mom just makes this for my family for dinner weekly
Minus the pickles, sounds amazing
Pickles are pretty mid tbh
"Fry it until it is fried"
Ah yes,the floor is made out of floor.
"Chicken beat"
Starts caressing violently
yeah this is the definition of soul food
Katsu curry is peak comfort food. I could eat it every day and not get sick of it.
Anyone that lived in Okinawa Japan that has been to Coco’s curry house knows this stuff is FIRE 🔥 literally
literally the best thing you will ever eat what spice level did you get to
It's a regular food for me except the Chicken...
Assuming you eat an Indian style of curry, this one is like a tweaked version and tastes different
That way of making chicken is called Milanesa here in Argentina. If you liked it I recommend milanesa 'napolitana' (with cheese and tomatoe sauce) that one is my favorite of course
@@sugarpoyon2077 aight brotha...
FINALLY, someone shows this recipe the attention it needs
“Fry until fried, cook until cooked”
This guy is the next gordon ramsey
One of my favourites! 🤤
"Fry it up until it's fried." Is probably my favorite recipe step I've ever heard in a TH-cam cooking video.
I felt a warm fuzzy feeling when i saw good ol' Golden Curry making the scene.
You cant go wrong with this. Its just so good
Literally has been my comfort dish for years now. It never gets old 🤩
these instant curry cubes are amazing. And versatile :D
Ngl I thought it was chocolate at first XD
@@SkippyZii me too, haha!

"butterflied it" was ICONIC
people who vote this kind of boring dish the best dish of the year have never been to Thailand or Malaysia =)
Don't underestimate a good home cook curry katsu.
Yep its my favorite dish, when done right.
