Talbot hugging Anderson reminded me of when Anderson got a shutout in his first game back in a while during his wife's cancer battle, and Talbot stayed on the bench after being named the 2nd star of the game to applaud Craig, who was the 1st star of the game. A great send-off for Andy!
what a guy, what an excellent career. Buffalo was lucky to have you for the time you were there. Class act. Ottawa showed his kids what respect is all about. I am old, but never tire of sportsmanship. Go Sabres
I'm hoping that Buffalo gets to host the 20th-anniversary Winter Classic in the new Bills stadium on January 1, 2028. And I'm REALLY hoping that they have an alumni game beforehand, with Craig Anderson and Ryan Miller as their goalies!!
One of my favourite senators game is when he came back after finding out his wife had cancer got the shutout and everyone in Edmonton cheered when he was named 1st star back in ‘17 ❤️❤️ no community like the hockey community
Thank you Craig for your many years in Ottawa! Thanks for coming back to wear the jersey one last time. By far the best and most consistent goalie Ottawa has ever had.❤
"You can tell how much it means to you as it stopped you from going to your car straightaway." Had to laugh at that line. But that was a beautiful send off for him and what a career to have had.
So if you need to send someone into retirement happy, Middlestadt is your guy lol. In all seriousness congrats Anderson on a hell of a run if this is truly it.
Atlantic division is going to be unbelievably competitive for the next decade most likely. You got Buffalo Ottawa Detroit Florida Tampa and Toronto maybe Boston. Gonna be fun
As an Avs fan, I'll never forget how he single-handedly stole a couple of games in that 2010 series against San Jose. The Avs were completely overmatched and yet somehow he kept them competitive. I always had tremendous respect for him after that. It's too bad he couldn't have won that 2017 Cup with Ottawa. Congrats on a great career, Craig!
I remember Craig Anderson when he was in Colorado and when I saw him play I instantly became a fan right next to Ryan Miller he was my second favorite goaltender and when he went to Ottawa he had some memorable seasons with them and ohh so close to going to the Stanley Cup finals. When the Sabres signed him I was like ugh couldn't we have him ten years ago, but what a great leader and human being he was and to see my second favorite goalie get a last home game win for my team is just special. Congrats on an amazing career Andy you will truly be missed.
I’ll always remember that 2017 playoff run and how close they were to going to the finals. What a career for Anderson. Hats off to him.
Beautiful finish between two teams with bright futures honouring a man who helped showed them both success

Seeing this moment was truly amazing. Both Buffalo & Ottawa show respect towards Craig Anderson . Truly emotional.
How could you not like this guy?
Anderson spent most of his career in Ottawa too 😊 Just really wholesome overall.
So fitting that it was against the Sens! Thank you, Craig. Best of luck on your retirement!
He hasn't technically retired just yet, but it wouldn't be surprising if he does hang up the skates during this off season.
@Kevin Stull his post game interview says otherwise. He said he's had a great career and wants to spend time with family
@@kevinstull8552 don't try to be smart, it's not working.
Massive respect to the Sens for that incredible show of class. We are adversaries, but we are not enemies.

Would've been nice if it was in Ottawa, but still cool none the less. Thank you for your time as a Sen, Andy
All the love goes to Anderson for this one. Though, can’t forget in this moment that Casey has been absolutely awesome.
I'm going to miss him. He was an incredible leader for buffalo. Really helped turn the franchise around
Class act by the sens.
I'm hoping that Buffalo gets to host the 20th-anniversary Winter Classic in the new Bills stadium on January 1, 2028. And I'm REALLY hoping that they have an alumni game beforehand, with Craig Anderson and Ryan Miller as their goalies!!
Thanks for everything you did for the sport and Ottawa - Ottawa resident and fan
Nothing but class❤

A fitting send-off if this is it for Craig Anderson. And a great show of respect by the Sens for what he did when he was a Sens goalie.
Thank you Craig for your many years in Ottawa! Thanks for coming back to wear the jersey one last time. By far the best and most consistent goalie Ottawa has ever had.❤
The last remaining goalie from the roster of my favorite hockey game of all time ESPN NHL Hockey!
i met craig years ago and he was the nicest most helpful tendy i ever met, seriously so much respect to him an unforgettable mentor
I am NOT a Sens fan whatsoever, but nobody can deny the absolute class they showed Andy here.
He was only with the Sabres for 2 years so this really is a credit to the man himself from his teammates. Nice.
One guy that should have his name on the cup
Happy Retirement Craig Anderson!
Hockey sportsmanship on display..got to respect it.
Thank you sir Buffalo will never forget you Ever...
"You can tell how much it means to you as it stopped you from going to your car straightaway."
Had to laugh at that line. But that was a beautiful send off for him and what a career to have had.
I'm not even mad we lost... Classy behavior throughout. Well done Sens, well done Sabres. Wish all the best for Anderson.
How fitting it was Ottawa
The moment between Anderson and Talbot is nice considering Talbot stayed on the ice for Craig after his wife was diagnosed with cancer
I think it’s fitting Craig’s last game is against the Sens. For the longest time, he was a cornerstone of that team.
Toews and anderson… its tough guys 😢
A bittersweet night in the NHL with this scene and the one in Chicago for the Captain. Twenty one years an NHL goalie...that's saying something!
So great. He really is an awesome guy.
So if you need to send someone into retirement happy, Middlestadt is your guy lol.
In all seriousness congrats Anderson on a hell of a run if this is truly it.
What a great moment, hockey players are the best
Love this team. We are a family
Craig is one of the greats
Thank you anderson you were scary good
Atlantic division is going to be unbelievably competitive for the next decade most likely. You got Buffalo Ottawa Detroit Florida Tampa and Toronto maybe Boston. Gonna be fun
Love ya Andy❤
Classy move by the Senators
As a poor hearted Senators fan, Congratulations 🎊 👏 miss ya buddy
Anderson had only been a Sabre for 2 years and the amount of support that fan base showed for him as if he’s been a Sabre for two decades
Superb.
Anderson was quietly solid AF for the last 20 years great career

I love Dahlin still giving Casey some love

Anderson is probably the best goalie Ottawa has ever had in their franchise
Toews plays his final game in the NHL, Toews plays his final game with the Blackhawks. What a night it’s been!
Craig.
Great guy. Grew up going to camps together
I heard there a tribute video made but can't find anything. Anyone know a link if it exists? Lol.
Andy !!!!! Andy!!!!! Andy!!!!
Cool
Sabres win a Stanley Cup??
