I've been driving for almost 25 years, flawless record other than an overweight violation. This would be my dream job. Beautiful equipment, always an experience, and always a challenge. Hats off to all the drivers that got the opportunity to do this for a living. To a driver, this would be our version of winning the lottery. I live about 2 miles from the Ky speedway, watching these rigs coming in is always a treat, whether its nascar or indy cars coming into town, it's an amazing sight.

When I was younger I once saw a very strange M&Ms semi truck at a rest stop. Looking back it had to be the M&Ms NASCAR truck. Must have been on it's way, or from Watkin Glen.

Hmm! Yes that's right amazing video. I can say that I've seen alot of these haulers criss crossing the big road when I was running the road. I saw Dale Sr. haulers once at the T/A truckstop back in day in Greensboro. During the same period I was to down to Florida when I had a convoy running to Daytona. Those were some good memories. #keepontruckin 👍

I'm an otr driver running dry van. It's hard enough as it is. I can only imagine running this expensive equipment coast. Can't be late. Can't stop and take a nap all the time. Gotta run hard. No idea how they do it but pretty cool to see them out here here on the road. Pretty surprised they're only advertising about the same amount of pay to haul dry freight around, but must be pretty cool to haul the cars that are on tv every year. Definitely a tough ball game out here and no doubt you guys got it tougher for standard pay. Hats off

How does your logbook work with this? You running that BBQ is “working” therefore you need to be “on duty” right?

The Driver that is On Duty for the race does all the team responsibilities while his partner flies in the day of the race and is Off Duty until it is time to drive home. The fresh driver drives home and the driver that helped during the race flies home with the team. All of our drivers are on EDLs and have to stop at all weigh stations.

I haven’t been to a real nascar race. But I’ve seen some famous people race at my local track in Pensacola called Five Flags Speedway. I’ve seen Jeff Gordon, Danica Patrick, Joanna Long, Tony Stewart, Dale Jr, Jimmy Johnson, and Martin Truex race here. They’ve all competed in the Snowball Derby which is like the Daytona 500 for the short tracks. Joanna Long has won 2 of em and won one of them at 16. Jeff Gordon won one and Dale Jr won one.

It does make you wonder what the pay structure is like for race team haulers. Normal OTR truckers are paid by the mile. These guys obviously aren't working or at least not to the same capacity during the off season. Are they paid a retainer? Are they just straight salary? How does all of that work.

I’ve been driving a go kart Since I was 3, I wasn’t on a race track or racing anyone but I was driving a off road go kart, Ive know how to drive a car scene I was 11, and now I’m 14 and driving a 600 horse power drag car, and I also do simulation racing on NASCAR heat, do you think I have a shot in NASCAR? And if I do, how do you think I should go about it, should I like, start emailing race teams in the NASCAR truck series about hot seats or something when I’m 16, or something else, I’ve been wanting to become a NASCAR driver my whole life, and I’m hoping to make that dream come true

See them all the time going up/down I-81 to Pocono’s and Watkins Glen...back in the 80s and early 90s these guys were also responsible for carrying the pit crew and sometimes the driver as well and used to get police escorts in certain areas but with the expansion of tracks now teams have a bus or fly to the next track...these guys are driving trucks with over a million dollars worth of tools/equipment and trust me their speed is heavily monitored by tracking if they speed they will lose their job!
