I got this for Christmas last year. Months later it still sounds really good. I even added 3 small speakers to the setup and it still sounds the same, it just added a little more treble to it.
I've had this 700watt LG CM4590 Xboom system for about 5 years now. Its in our living room. It's really a great system. I wanted to buy a new stereo for my bedroom, & I was going to buy the LG Xboom 3500 watt system for $700, I was going to put it in the living room, & this system in our bedroom, but my wife wouldn't let me . But I then I saw, the 950 watts, LG CL65 Xboom system, for $279 & I ordered it about 20 minutes ago. My wife gave the thumbs up. Im pretty excited, these Xboom systems are great.
Months later I love it. This stereo system sounds better than my total PA system. Great bass and sound. Some people hate on this tiny power house but coming from a guy that has many systems and Bluetooth speakers this is my go to for Jamming music and my surround sound.
I’ve never listened to the JBL. That’s also just a portable boom box, not a home stereo. It won’t come close to sounding like the LG. The JBL is 80 watts and the LG is 700. Cheers
@R56Cooper a system with an equalizer and treble bass control will always sound better. Boom boxes have basic preset settings. So you can’t compare the two. This sounds great for a boom box and for the money.
That's Going To Be My Next Stereo System For Sure...The Only Reason I Purchased The LG CKM4...Which Is A VERY Good Stereo System~No Complaints...Is Because It's All I Can Afford At The Time...The LG CM4590 Is Quite Similar To The LG CK45 I Had 2 Years Ago...It Was 720Watts With 2 Main Speakers & 1 Subwoofer...It's Absolutely Splendid...
I connected the original speakers that came from a radio and connect it to that radio and it activated the subwoofer, I couldn't believe the sound of that subwoofer, it really is a sonic boom
Never does it justice. I could play a small Bluetooth speaker and it’s hard to tell the difference on camera. But yes a detailed review of that would be a bit better, I agree.
@@MrBaldChronicles. Indeed...It Was $179 At A PX One A Military Base...Then In January I Went Back To Check The Price~It Went Up To $199...Came Beach In Late March~Its Now Up To $289!
I'm about to purchase one myself. Can you plug this stereo into your TV for surround sound and would I be able to plug my ipod directly into it. Thanks for your time and the video review.
I live in a very small flat in Mexico City. I have a VERY noisy neighbor who's always listening to very loud music. Do you think this product will help me to bother my neihbours or should I look for something a bit more expensive? I have no experience with sound systems. A little advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I just purchased this system hoping to use it with my i pod and my mp 3 player. It isnt does seem to recognize my music devices. dont know why................ I am out.......
Does it Come with A Subwoofer Button Where you can Turn off & on the Subwoofer ? , I had The First & 2nd model of The LG Stereo system & They both didn’t Come with A Subwoofer Button , I wonder if the 3rd One comes with one
No sun button just a bass up and down and many sound settings. I’m glad the sub plug clicks in and out vs using two wires because I’m always unplugging the sun at night lol
I paid $272 for this and I was not satisfied. It's really not that loud. My Sony stereo was only 240 watts and it would literally vibrate itself off the desk... This LG bullshit is a lie. Big difference between this and my Sony stereo and it's only 240w... So I really don't understand... You can hold a whole conversation with somebody on max volume lol Probably sending it back.
Try the settings. I kept it on classic and normal for best sound. It was great for my game room but it’s not a window shaker. I paid under 200 when I got it. It’s gone up a lot it sounds.
I have it and I coincidentally downloaded a decibel meter to see what max volume with synth/electronic bassy music was around. With my s23 ultra decibel meter sitting in front of a speaker it was around 82dB. I wanted to check the dB so I would have a good idea of where I stood when it comes to city ordinance and noise complaints because the only time the bass starts to be noticeable and good is 80%-100% volume. I pretty much play music for the bass and always as much as the sub will handle, so of course that means I will have to have this thing turned all the way up haha. The way I situated it in the corner downstairs made it so that the windows upstairs rattle during the heavy bass hits, along with feeling it through the floor, so it wasn't total crap at least lmao. It is definitely not capable of noticeable bass below high volume though, so it isnt something I can have thumping 24/7 like my soundbar sub.....unless I want to take a chance and see if the neighbor can actually hear it and recieve confirmation in the form of a noise complaint haha. The stereo subwoofer is not powered, so that is the reason it is not noticeable until the limits are close. This thing is designed to be used at max volume where you dont have to worry about complaints, or in an already loud environment such as a shop etc.
@@MrBaldChronicles. hey I received it today and searching through the equalizer settings very weird choices also my phone volume won’t stay all the way up when adjusting the volume why is this ?

Right on. I use it as my game room tv sound system too. Love it especially for the price
RMS means continuous power handling. So 700 RMS, 1400 Peak power 😉 Looking to get this one!
Always good to learn thanks. Enjoy it I’m jamming mine or using it as surround sound everyday in my game room slash office.

Solid
I don't know why LG speakers don't activate the subwoofer
I Still Hope To Purchase This Absolutely Splendid Stereo System Someday...When I Can Find A Stable Price...
It’s a beast for the price I paid. I think it’s up by 100 now smh.
@@MrBaldChronicles. lucky I just paid 270 for mine before I came to this video lbs
Got it. Looks like it’s going for 249 on Amazon. It was up to 299 not too long ago.
I've had my eye on this jewl for years
Grab it. Do it before it goes up another 50
The best part is hearing it and you didn't even barley show sound at all

Actually cds have a must better sound quality than Bluetooth. Great vid though.
Thanks man. I guess I would agree, a real cd I can see that, but burnt cds no lol.
Depends how u format the cd
And what format the audio is in
I got the same speaker system the bass is so powerful
Oh yah. Deep for the size
Orderd mine just now
Right on. Enjoy
Bluetooth is compressed. CD's are not. No Bluetooth will compare to a CD nor will any stream.
Cds are louder set at the same volume.
Yo you got Memphis rap ???
🔥 that’s pretty cool
