- This is a celebration of Scout Spirit, and a Day in the Life, at Camp Medicine Bow, Yawgoog Scout Reservation, Rockville, Rhode Island.
I used clips from a week there, to create this story. No doubt the blurry eyed, never mind the sharp eyed, will notice inconsistencies and continuity problems. Gulty as charged, and New England indifferent to your objections.
We had an absolute blast, and I hope this brings back happy memories for those who have been, inspires those thinking of going, and entertains all what watch. Thank you for joining us, and thank you to everyone who made this possible.

I'm terrible at remembering song lyrics; I can only manage a few lines, even from my favorite songs. But I have memories from Seaton - from 40 years ago. Creating good memories is a very important thing, isn't it?
Troop 284 from '87 to '93 here. Made my first visit to Yawgoog and MB in over 30 years last weekend, fell in love with Yawgoog all over again. Cheers!
I went to Yawgoog 1982-1987. 10:10-10:20 I see my former troop behind the trumpet player (433 Middle Island, Long Island, NY). Really cool!!

I went here last year. Best experience of my life!
I had so much fun there, and my own boys got so much out of it, that after our troop went to H M Moses for a weekend trip, I had the idea to try to form a composite troop, that would visit three or four different scout camps each summer.
Last day this week. It was great
yawgoog was some of the best years of my life, think i did medicine bow 7 years in a row i believe a with year with troop 1 Manville RI the rest with troop 711 Albion RI
Nice. We have had three trips, with a Troop now run by a friend I was in Troop 10, Cos Cob, with. This was my guys' first Scouting adventure, and now they are nearly done with Eagle.

@@henryjt2377 We still had a lot of fun, and even adults who had never been noted the exuberance. So not ideal, but real, as in, still real fun. Can't wait to go back next year.

@@henryjt2377 There is a reason Troops from as far away as Maryland come to Yawgoog, and the Duty to God patch you can earn by attending religious services, is particularly beautiful this year.

I'm very pro bow, but honestly, I would take beach or point over not going -- just ask 2020 Harold.

This is gonna be my third year at yawgoog. I leave in five days and hearing the trumpet gets me so happy
We get to return a second time this summer, and are very excited to be going again.

Thank you, and yes it is, for kids and adults. We were able to go again last year, and will be back this summer. I consider this my most valuable video -- I want no credit for that -- rather, I had the opportunity to capture and share wonderful memories, and the video has been largely well received. It is the people on camera that make it special, I merely watched and strung it together.

If what matters most in this video (which I think is the most important video I have) is the memories, what makes the video work is Scouts like you, playing your instrument, and bringing the energy. Thank you.

I have authored three books containing merit badge requirements. These books will assist the scout and merit badge counselor to achieve the desired merit badge. The books can be obtained on amazon or at the local library. They are WEATHER by Jack Fleming, GEOLOGY by Jack Fleming, and BEACHES (for the Oceanography badge) by Jack Fleming.
Excellent. I am working on videos to support various merit badges; a video for each requirement, starting with Art and Wilderness Survival, and soon adding Game Design. This started during our remote Merit Badge College.

We are week 4. I wouldn't mind adding another week. I had this idea to gather a Composite Troop, and visit three different Scout camps in a row, but I am not getting a lot of traction.

We were with Troop 11, Greenwich; I was providing Two Deep for my friend's Troop, as well as getting my boys started in Scouting. We are now with Troop 608, Hamden.

Apparently having FOURTEEN new scouts that briged over this mounth and scouts from last year who havent camped is a good enough reason to stay local.... I feel terrible for our troop guide though the last one had to deal with like, 5
