Pretty sure SNES Vanilla Lake was one of the first 8 Deluxe custom tracks, before Track Studio was released, so I think it's expected to see that track have some bugs and design flaws. I still think it's a cool addition though as it kinda shows how far 8 Deluxe CTs have come over the years.

He was talking about modded tracks, not base tracks. Either way, it makes no sense for there to be a modded Jungle Parkway when it exists in base game MKWii.
I think that part in Kingdom Way is new because you cannot replicate teleports in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, so they added an extra rainbow-esk environment to simulate the warping effect.

To answer your question about why no arcade tracks in Tour: Odds are it's most likely because the arcade games were made by Namco. And Nintendo probably needs permission to really use that content due to that. So thus why they haven't been seen there or in 8 Deluxe. Or it's probably a "Nintendo/whoever is making it doesn't want to use content originally made by other devs/companies at all costs if they can help it unless it's a crossover", aka why Ganondorf didn't get to have his Hyrule Warriors design or any HW content in Smash Ultmate or so on.
I highly recommend checking out the CTGP DX OST either on the website or on YT, it has some BANGERS like, my personal favorite being DK Jungle Parkway.
Just know that Shy Guy Bazaar and Boshi's Skatepark will be getting remixes in the future, so look out for those.
Also, if you can find a playlist on YT that has all of the songs used in the pack (not just the remixes) I would check out those aswell just to know where they are from.

yo if anyone knows other mods similar to this for the switch lmk, loved all the new games and stuff that people made on the wii, the og ctgp and newer super mario wii are my favorites
Please play Super Mario and The Rainbow Stars. It's a must play fan game.
Some of these do look great but they still suffer from the regular Mario Kart 8 problem of sacrificing readability of the game for some shadow spectacle. I can't stand that I have to memorize where the Coins are on a lot of tracks because *I LEGITIMATELY CAN'T SEE THEM* until I'm within kissing distance of them. Even that Banana in the water section that you had no chance of reacting to because it was dark is the perfect example of my point.
Even if it's not the standard way, I want a "Gameplay Mode" lighting settings that illuminate the drivers, Items, and Coins like how Mario Kart 7 does.
I should not be struggling to see the track and Coins on *WII DAISY CIRCUIT* because the tunnel section is cast in an ancient darkness for no reason.

I've tried to follow these steps, but CTGP-7 can't detect my Mario Kart 7 rom file. I've tried decrypting the file and copying it into the CTGP-7 directory, but no luck. I only intended to play it on emulation rather than a jailbroken 3DS. I tested it on Lime3DS and PabloMK7 Citra. The former doesn't work and the latter seems to work, except it can't detect the game as I've mentioned.
What else do I need to do to get it up and running? Do I need to install keys? Because I don't know where I'm supposed to store them!
