To make a special expression, you go into live 2d viewer ( it should download automatically with the live 2d package) and drag in your model, click file>add>expression... if you are still confused I’ll be happy to help 🤗

Protip for my box modelling homies trying to mess around with making Vtuber models: just do manual meshing for fine parts like the lips and eyelashes, it's cleaner in 99% of cases and works exactly the same as you'd expect a textured 3D plane to deform. Also lets you put extra control verts in all the right places.

In the time that I commented last time, I: 1) Tried to do a test Live2d model that looked meh 2) Gave up and did it in Adobe character animator 3) Settled with that model for months, hilariously inefficiently (6 hour encoding times for 10mins of audio) 4) Became frustrated with my mediocre model and failure 5) Vowed to try Live2d again 6) Designed the model and came back to your channel for guidance And you've created a new tutorial! I have yet to start L2D but this is great! I have always wondered how some VTubers move more naturally than the others. I guess it has something to do with mouth movements since VTubing makes it difficult to show different expressions. Thanks for the tutorial!

As someone who has never wanted to be a Vtuber, never used Live2D and doesn't even have a macbook, I'm impressed at how interesting this was anyways.
