Excellent review, even though I work with steel and rarely touch a circ saw I've subscribed just based on how you actually gave a 18month (real world) update, much appreciated.
Excellent review. I have the 391. I don’t use it that much. When I do, it’s usually short bursts where the power would help over the longevity of the battery. However if I used it more, specially indoors, I think the brushless would be better. You thoughts?
Don't use a circular saw too often but want a left bladed saw and either looks good, black friday coming up soon for the brushless, thanks for the video.
Very good comparison. For me as an occasional sawist I'll go for the 391 as it's just over half the price. Maybe if I were using one most days I would spend the extra.
Great vid, appreciate the honest review! I have the 391, and the length of the motor, and gap to material means it sometimes gets caught on my 3rd party edge clamp guide, so the stubby motor housing on the brushless looks like it would solve that issue nicely. That said, love my 391!
I thought it would be an issue but it's fine. I don't notice it. Just picked up DeWalt's PEX expander tool, which has a crazy in your face light. Prob returning the PEX tool but love the 565.
I have the 391 , I fit kitchens lots of mdf to cut the lack of dust port is a real problem for me when working in customers houses I just can’t use it . The other thing I dont get is why these saws seem to be reversed with blade on the left , the normal way blade on right seemed to make more sense unless your left handed
You’re awesome man, update video is really appreciated. They don’t get a lot of views usually but it’s really helpful

It's nice to have the vac attach for indoors but if you don't use it often I'd drive the 391 'till the wheels fall off.
@@toolrev thanks for your quick response man. I rarely do anything indoors. But I am a tool junkie
love your review. im getting a 391 now because of you...
thanks for the review. I always thought we should run a battery down till it's dead. thanks for the tip

Came with mine, its the "DEWALT N104672 Dust Port Adaptor for Dcs391 XR
"
Yes but it’s useless compared to the later model
Thanks for "18 months later " 👍👏
