Can the TD-H3 only transmit on the “A” or is there something in my settings that I have to flip in order to transmit on my “B” channel?
Note: I have the radio in “Normal” mode.

Does it just pick up a frequency that is already stored in the memory channels?

Everything I find with this quick scan , never has anything in the code part and is silent. Generally something like 211.133, it dominates the search frequency, any ideas

@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones yeah it puzzled me too. I live near a hospital I wonder if it's something over there. But yeah.
I'll try updating the firmware and see if anything changes

doesn't work for me. it just displays the memory channel that was just on - even though I'm in VFO mode and on a different band. really weird. maybe it's because I have mine set on "normal mode" ( Both GMRS and HAM)? I thought it would be neat to try finding AIR frequencies in my area.

GMRS: Hate to be the negative one, but compared to our Retevis NR30s and Baofeng UV5g+, these H3 radios are crap. With the Retevis we can comm clearly radio to radio 12 miles here in the 4500' high desert from our ranch into town with one hill between. The UV5g+ will make it about 9 miles. The TDH3s barely comm radio to radio 1/4 mile line of sight. At 1/4 mile one radio transmits and receives clearly, the other transmits clearly but receives mostly static. Very disappointed in the performance of the toy-like H3s.

Which RETEVIS ? , There are hundreds reviewing the H3 generally it's accepted as a very good device for £25 .

To The Real Ren, the Tid H3 is far superior to most chinese radios, example, Baofengs as a norm power starts falling off just after keying up and gets worse as the battery drops, where the H3 is 5+ watts when you key it up and stays there or my 3 does. It can receive down below 11 meters and beyond 500 Mhz it also like the Baofeng the receiver can be swamped by a local HT. Get an H3 and get used to it before passing judgment on something you know nothing about.

Apparently people did not read my post, but rather reacted to what they think it said.
