1962 Mercury Meteor 260V8 Startup

Starting up my 1962 Mercury Meteor. Has not been running since 1976. Water pump was completely wore out. Changed that, the coil, points, condenser, cap and rotor. Took a few tries but it fired right up! I am amazed at how well it runs after sitting for over 35 years. Always fun to play with old cars!

Got the same car, in jamaican yellow s33 and it has a 260 automatic. sounds pretty stock

Hey Brian. Most likely still original. Don't plan on keeping that engine. Have a 289 going in mine along with a 6 speed behind it. Gotta do something a little different.

The dash chrome is really roached isn't it.

Sat outside with the windows down for many years. Ended up parting the car out in the end.

This car is long gone now. Sure had fun with it. Off to a new home.
