GMC Sierra Magnaflow Exhaust 4.3L V6
My 2011 GMC Sierra. Reg Cab, short box. 4.3L V6. Just added Magnaflow exhaust. Will never sound like a V8 but still sounds good for a V6. Seem to feel a difference on accelleration. Maybe my imagination...lol. Stock motor...so it is what it is! Hope you like!

1962 Mercury Meteor 260V8 Startup

Starting up my 1962 Mercury Meteor. Has not been running since 1976. Water pump was completely wore out. Changed that, the coil, points, condenser, cap and rotor. Took a few tries but it fired right up! I am amazed at how well it runs after sitting for over 35 years. Always fun to play with old cars!

A real crowd pleaser! "Gonzo" Gonzales even took passengers for a small fee...all proceeds to charity. Of course the list filled VERY quickly. Watched him burn off at least four sets of tires!!!

Every time someone takes a shower Meeko will sit and watch the water drops running down the doors. Crazy cat! Features a cameo appearance by Tigger.

Happy New Year! It's Jan. 1st, 2011 and we are having a blizzard. Meeko was very entertained by the snow....to the point where he loses his balance!

Never was trying to do that...if you had listened to what I said then you would have understood. NO V6 will ever sound like a V8...been building V8's for many years.
@@MercuryFanatic it was a joke my friend, I've owned v6s to. It's even harder to make an inline 6 sound good.
@@lazykbarranchoutdoors4866 Thanks for the reply. The problem with "text" is that we can't easily see when someone is using "tongue in cheek" as we call it. Had an inline 6 in a car once. Never did like how it sounded...it was what it was...lol. Even modern V8's don't sound right to me. I love the exhaust note of the old pushrod motors. Yes...I'm old school...probably always will be.
Do you still have the truck? And what do you think about it's performance is it fast they only have about 280hp. I'm looking to buy one single cab short box, let me know what you think I'm concerned with it being slow for small engine in a truck.
Truck is long gone...almost two years ago.

In 2011 the 4.3l engine only had 195hp. Needless to say it wasn't exactly quick. The engines built today have a LOT more hp and torque. Take one for a drive...then go from there. Cheers.

That is crazy. while idling it really sounds like a V8! what is up with that? Coming from a ford guy this sounds great.
I liked it at idle too. At highway speeds it got annoying after a while...lol.

Love the exhaust gives nice throaty sound oppose to traditional newer V6 engines which sound like honda's on steroids dislike that rice rocket sound.

I idle sounds great! And the upper rpm's are about the best i've heard from a v6. Thanks for sharing!

My rule is Magnaflow on a V6 and Flows on a V8. Flows aren't as clean on the V6 and magnaflows don't bark hard enough for the V8.
Chris Sherwood well it depends what series you use on the V6 or on the V8 because some engines don't accept Flowmasters or Magnaflow depends what cam you have and what upgrades you have with your headers.
Flowmaster 40 on v6 sound good
You do it right like magnumflow catalytic converters going to a super 10 flow master true duel pipes it will sound like a v8

I have the same style Magnaflow kit on my 2006 Sierra (Reg, short, 2WD, V6, 5-speed) along with JBA shorty ceramic headers. The cat back made a noticeable difference but the biggest gain came after installing the headers. The truck will actually accelerate in 5th gear on the highway now. Swapping the stock 3.23 rear end for 3.73's also helped a lot but at the cost of 3 mpg on the highway. Still get around 25 mpg (Imperial) which I figure is pretty good. City is about 19-20 if I'm nice to it.

Which model kit was this? Swear I have the same kit but my pipes sit with a slight down facing angle and pointing in just a tad...guessing ill have to adjust further

what length was the magnaflow muffler? 12, 18, or 24" Also what diameter is the pipe.
It doesn't need to sound like a V8 if it sounds like an old Detroit Diesel.
Julio Romeresto Dude, I drive a tractor / trailer for a living. A modern V6 is not even remotely close to an Old School Detroit...lol.
MercuryFanatic 6v53s, 6v71s, and 6v92s all sound very much like V6s, considering they are V6s.
Ima go out on a limb and say that this is a flowmaster 22" sounds good so far u should do more videos,...

Hi there. Sorry for not replying sooner on this. Trouble logging in. Anyhow, spare tire still goes back no problem. It is a bit tight on the driver's side, but as I said in the video, adjusting takes some patience.

Did the kit tell you what muffler it was. I have my own pipe bender an stuff so I just need the muffler? I looked up the kit but it didn't say.
It's difficult to get a V6 to sound good, but I gotta say this is one of the better sounding ones I've heard, It does cover up that V6 "swarm of bees" sound pretty good. I have a warmed up 4.3 in my 92 with duals and turbo mufflers, sounds okay, but still tell it's a V6.
Magna flow high flow cats, true duels, Flowmaster 40 with 5 inch tips. Will make your truck sound exactly like a V8. With my truck no one could tell it was a V6 and everyone was shocked.

DoubleVisionandco, If you don't mind me asking what brand Turbo Muffler you go with? Reason I ask I've had some that were almost as quiet as stock muffler & had some that were almost as loud as a 3 chamber Flowmaster.
