    On the Buses cast and crew reveal their favourite of the three classic Buses comedy films.
    Cast members Reg Varney, Anna Karen, Stephen Lewis and Andria Lawrence are joined by writers Ronald Chesney and Ronald Wolfe, production supervisor Roy Skeggs, Hammer Runners Brian Reynolds and Phil Campbell, who worked on the first two films, and film historian, Morris Bright MBE and Steve Luxton of the On the Buses Fan Club, to reveal their favourite of the three classic On the Buses comedy films.
    Special thanks to Morris for kindly allowing us access to his rare archive interviews recorded in 2002.
    On the Buses at the Movies is a feature length documentary that celebrates the 50th anniversary of this classic British comedy film series. We go behind the scenes with contributions from cast and crew, including Reg Varney, Anna Karen, Stephen Lewis, Andria Lawrence and writers Ronald Chesney and Ronald Wolfe, who look back on the making of the films and reflect on the their enduring appeal.

    For me, the highlight of this video was hearing Stephen Lewis using his own voice! So very different from Blakey and the later Smiler (LOTSW).

    Remember going to see the first On The Buses film back in 71 with my parents at the local cinema. Unfortunately parents and the cinema now long gone.

    Holiday will always be my fave, it's laugh after laugh after laugh. It has a great cast and guest stars and the swimming pool scene with is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

    I went to that holiday camp, I think that year, though I assume that the filming was done out of season.
    I remember the general layout, the go-carts, swimming pool, the bus - we went to Betws y coed on it on a mystery tour - and the camp’s proximity to the beach which was covered in jellyfish.
    I love watching the film; it is almost like watching a home movie; it brings flooding back good childhood memories.

    BOB GRANT
    STEPHEN LEWIS
    MICHAEL ROBBINS
    DORIS HARE
    ....and sadly,ANNA KAREN may they
    all R.I.P😢.

    I think.'Holiday' was the best because the story was fresh and some what original compared to the other 2 which in many ways were like rehashes of TV episodes (not that I didn't enjoy them; just felt Holiday was more fun). And there were good locations. 'Maviiiissss'

    Filmed in Rhuddlan(bridge scene)and pontins prestatyn.Not changed that much.I was young then.thanks enjoyed this👍🇬🇧

    I have often wondered if Reg Varney did drive the bus, can anyone confirm?

    This was the golden time for television the absolute pinnacle. Back then we only had three channels but what fantastic programming we had. Today we have 400 channels and nothing worth watching.

    Give me the On the Buses trilogy over the Godfather trilogy any time. The Buses trilogy are much more entertaining. True
