    This tutorial takes you through the process of hand making a weft step by step, using weaving sticks and synthetic hair. These wefts can then be used to make wigs and accessories, or even clipped directly into the hair as extensions.

    Wow I'm currently managing a beauty store and I'm constantly looking for what's trending and I've just seen ladies do what is called I thing the 360 weaves. These weaves have the hair on the thin string and its then sewn into your hair. This video is good because it helps you to get the exact hair type that matches your own. In the hair world for African Americans the hair textures do not always match our very natural hair and so I like this tutorial. Keep up the good video and again thanks.

    Hi? Do you always use that small amount of hair to make each 'M' for the weft and if so, is that so that the hair does not bunch up or any other reason? (if that makes sense)

    • @elouiseabbottmua5184
      @elouiseabbottmua5184  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kathryn M hi, its all about the thickness of the weft really. For a thicker weft use more hair and vice verca. I was going to use this weft to make a wig so I didn’t want it too thick as it would make the wig to thick and the base of the weft would be bulky and difficult to hide. Hope this helps 😊

    What distance do you need between the two sticks to make a 30cm-weft?

    • @elouiseabbottmua5184
      @elouiseabbottmua5184  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, I would say 40 cm would be OK 👍. If you don't cut the string two short You can actually keep twisting the weft around the left hand stick. This means you can make a longer weft without having to have a huge gap between the sticks. I hope this helps.

      If you click on the video settings (usually 3 vertical dots or a cogwheel), then playback speed, you can click 0.25×, 0.5× or 0.75× to watch it at a slower speed.
      Hope that helps. 🙂

      No need to sew to make the wefts, the weaving method is self binding. But you can then sew the wefts on to a wig foundation, or sew the weft into hair. Hope this helps 😊

  • @blonda.bacoviana

    It doesn't work. The hair detangles itself from the thread.

    • @elouiseabbottmua5184
      @elouiseabbottmua5184  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You might need a clip to hold the hair together when you have wefted. The string will always try to pull apart. You can use a bobby pin or a section clip. Traditionally you would use a jockey. The weft will need tying when Finished.
