You said I am using the Bible verses out of context. So, I ask you:
*Tell me please, in what context it is moral to slaughter infants?*
      1 Samuel 15:3
3 Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.
*Tell me please, if slavery was voluntary, then why it is restricted to only foreigners?*
Leviticus 25:44-46 However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way.
*Tell me please, in what context it is moral to enslave children?*

*Tell me please, in what context it is moral to treat voluntarily working servants as property? *

*Tell me please, in what context it is moral to treat voluntarily working servants so bad that doesn’t suit the relatives?*

*Tell me please, in what context it is moral to beat voluntarily working servants with many blows?*
Luke 12:47 The servant who knows the master's will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows.
*Tell me please, in what context it is moral to beat voluntarily working servants as long as they don't die?*
Exodus 21:20 “Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, 21 but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property.
*Tell me please, in what context it is moral to kill non-virgin brides?*
      Deuteronomy 22:20-21
If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the young woman’s virginity can be found, she shall be brought to the door of her father’s house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done an outrageous thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father’s house. You must purge the evil from among you.
*Tell me please, in what context it is moral to kill unruly children?*
      Deuteronomy 21:18-21
If any man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey his father or his mother, and when they chastise him, he will not even listen to them, then his father and mother shall seize him, and bring him out to the elders of his city at the gateway of his home town. And they shall say to the elders of his city, "This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey us, he is a glutton and a drunkard." Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death; so you shall remove the evil from your midst, and all Israel shall hear of it and fear.

Pastor John, What is the platform, software and hardware that you are using when you are recording this? Is it screen recording using a ipad with pencil? Please I want to use your method especially now that we are limited in meeting together (social distancing) because of this epidemic. Thank you and May the LORD JESUS CHRIST bless you with HIS grace and peace.

    Merit based system..
    What a confused message.
Don't just quote bible verses to suit your own belief system while disregarding the rest of God's Word.
The scriptures are clear that we are under His Grace and that we are holy unblamable and undreprovable (right now, every day) through His FINISHED work.
There's no 'practise' involved. Any rightiousness manifested through you in your life comes from the Holy Spirit inside of you stop trying to take credit for any of it. You can't add onto His finished work.
When Jesus says those who KEEP (=Guard in Greek, NOT DO!) my commandments are those who love me, it refers to those who are already His children and are saved through the Holy Spirit.
Also its annoying how you keep mentioning Paul this, Peter that, the Holy Spirit alone is the sole author. The guy with the pen is merely the tool.

Re-L valid points but your delivery of the critique is stated in an unkind manner. Piper is a good man, he may not have communicated it the way you would like but he knows that.
1 Corinthians 13:1 “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.”

Psalm 146 : 2 thank you I'll keep that in mind. I still love the brother and didn't mean to come off harsh. But his teachings regardless are biblically off. It's too centered on the self instead of solely on Christ and Christ alone.

Repentance is necessary for salvation isn't it? So there is a " doing " on our part. That's not work based. That's issues of the heart.

    • @zerschmetterling444
      @zerschmetterling444 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Veego von DOOM- Reviews! It is work based because it adds synergism. It would allow you to go to heaven and tell the Lord that 'thank you for dying for me and thank me for accepting it' it would add some credit to you, when there's none reserved for you. He died for you because you're His child and always were. Repentence FOLLOWS salvation after the Holy Spirit has entered you. It doesn't precede it. The Holy Spirit guides you in all truth and works on your heart. Most of modern Christianity is absolutely missing the mark and new believers are easily led astray because they don't have a solid foundation of the Word of the Lord.

@@zerschmetterling444 if you've watched his video, he makes the point you're making multiple times. Paul didnt write imitate Him, he said imitate me. So Paul is a self righteous piece of garbage? If you've read the Bible it is implied all works you do in Christ is through the power of The Holy Spirit. If you do not try at all, if you do not force yourself, you don't work in The Holy Spirit. You are able to, through the power of The Holy Spirit. Paul's teachings are not off. The Bible is not off. Your sin is showing in blatant ways. Sin is often infecting what we do. Even when we think it's righteous, even when we try to do righteous things, it's likely our sin can affect things, except through full acceptance and reception of the Holy Spirit. Receive. Receive. Receive. Paul says "do it like I'm doing, and receive God and let it be shown!" Paraphrasing, obviously. He's underlining "receive" throughout this message for a reason. Hey, brother/sister. Receive and practice. Don't let the enemy cloud your thoughts and judgements.
