I’d like to see you paint the coloured super footy figure be interesting to see how it turns out. I’ve got some clr plus bases and have double weighted with a shock absorber and they fit together great and a little adjustment on the peg and it fits really well. Great series really enjoying it 👍
I've painted 3 Zeugo teams so far, at first I thought I was doing something wrong because around 75% of the disks would not fit in the bases but the disks are just too big. I'm having to sand around the outer edge of each disk carefully until they fit, it's a real pain and the players are equally frustrating to get in the disks. I'm halfway through your brilliant Feyenoord paint tutorial and the Santiago's are perfect and a dream to work with!!
For the lower profile bases you may need to sand the peg down a bit. It is always going to be the case. I have a medium sanding stick and about 10-15 swipes and the peg is short enough. The Santiago Spitfire bases look great....something else to buy and try!!!
I used to have to sand the edges of the zuego disks to get them to fit the profibases. Holding the player with the disk attached and kept turning and sanding the disk edge against a block, (a bit of a faff) till I got it to fit!
Regarding the Zeugo bases & discs feature: There is no need to shave the disc. Using superglue you need to glue the washer into the base. Then put 2 small spots of glue on the inside rim of the base, one at each side of the base. Then get the disc and press the disc and base together and hold firmly for a few seconds until the glue has taken hold. The disc will never pop out of the base. It's guaranteed to work every time. These are the same bases and discs used for all the painted Zeugo teams. All the bases and discs used for the Zeugo teams are glued into the bases.
I had to re-order a couple of extra bases on a Zuego U-paint team due to breaking them trying to force them together . My first foray into the paint stuff. Three out of the set would not go together ...
As you know I/we painted quite a few Zeugo U paint teams in the last twenty odd years, never had a problem fitting the disc to the base , they must have changed something 🤔😐
FYI... just about every figure I've ever used in any "pro/flat" base required the bottom of the figure peg to be shortened with sandpaper. It's a minor hassle, but better it's too long than too short I guess.
I have painted a few LPM teams when I used them I had to nip the rounded bit of the bottom of the pegs before painting, they then fit in really well.

Long thin screwdriver between the boots and push on each end to clip peg fitting figures to bases without risking ankle snap 😎

I'd be curious to see your take on painting a colored figure. :)

Yes I have had a couple of up paint Zuego teams and both teams I had trouble with 2 or 3 bases in each team I had real problems to get them in.
