We're still spending time with the v1.3 game update, so more setup change developments may be needed as time passes. I'll pin any other changes to the comments on this video. ✌✌
How can people say, unrealistic traction? How would they know? Don't think most have ever set foot on the stands to watch a race, let alone actually driving..😂 I'd take the word of a Max or even a Stroll, before I'd believe or even listen to someone else's opinion that doesn't even have a leg to stand on.
I often wondered that! I drive race cars IRL and laugh at some of the comments from people that have never set foot in a race car around a track, but the way they comment with such conviction as if they actually know! 😂
@@gbamikey in Bahrain using this setup after exiting a corner when i accelerate it is starting to spin and I have to correct it..I'm only pressing like 60%
Your setups are great but when i use them my rear tyres always degrade at about a rate of 2:1. By the time I go to pit my tyres often read: “20% 16% 42% 36%” Or thereabouts. Wondering if you had insight into why this is (i have NO idea how to set up cars)
Someone said that the new handling post patch reminded them a little bit of f1 23 again I took their word for it and applied your f1 23 setup to f1 24 on Jeddah and it works really good even got rid of my reoccurring issue of losing the rear and spinning out post patch on controller
So people wanted it to be less traction and less responsive? I want classic circuits like Sepang, Nurburgring, Hockenheim, Istanbul, Magny-Cours, Indianapolis, Buddh etc. And be able to use Juan Pablo Montoya's helmet.
Bro, you are my hero. I started on F1 last season, and with your help and vids I became the only person to win more than 1 race in our league. 4 Wins! Thank you for all you do!
Just an update for you mate, I’ve gone back to the 2023 car set ups and with a few tweaks it’s working a treat and my lap times have also improved. I’m running the on and off throttle as close to the 2023 settings using the 2024 settings. I only use 30% engine brake always and set the brakes to 98% and 54%. Everything else is set to 2023 set ups and it’s working perfect for handling and tyre wear. I still miss the original handling model but the 2023 set ups are working for me so I’ll just keep using these car set ups with the few tweaks. But it’s as close I can get to “simply lovely” for me mate 🤙🏻🏁
Thank you for all of your help. The time and effort you put into these setups is very much appreciated and I can’t thank you enough. Love the knowledge you bring to these setups. Can’t wait for the new ones.
Does anyone else’s wheel just not work? Granted i have a cheap ass thrustmaster wheel, it actually worked good last year but now it’s absolutely atrocious
As a(n) elite division (on f1 23) controller player, I must say your setups are my go too! I’ve made slight changes to wheel degree rotation, I also run no assists but do use a racing line on corners only. Whilst everyone seems to degrade this game, I find it much more interactive! ERS, TP, even the race starts have the consequences of a normal race. I ran assisted start on f1 23 and you can just stab the throttle and get a decent get away, rather this year it’s more technical. Wish there was a “breaking point” this year, but overall it’s a pretty solid game. Elite division controller player last year, so I really notice the differences. But glad to see that your setups still are cooking 🧑🍳
What wheel rotation are you using? I can’t tell if it actually changes anything on controller. I went into cockpit view to compare both how much the steering wheel and front wheels turn with a low and high wheel rotation setting and they appeared to be exactly the same. It is hard to try and point the left stick in the exact same direction for each though, so maybe it’s slightly different
@ccramit Dawned on you that I might not want to learn? I get to play the game 2-3 a week at most...I just want to play during those very limited hours.
@@AwesomeOneUK I chose to shave my head, and can grow it back. Unfortunately it looks as though you can’t grow your intellect, which is why you can’t set up your own car.
Just a quick question mate for those of us on controller, are there any adjustments needed to the controller calibration as it seems to have changed after V1.3. I just finished the Canadian GP with the old set up and it seemed ok but once I calibrated the steering to 130% from 160% I found I could once again steer with more precision in and out of the apex. It’s soooo annoying when they drop these handing changes just when you’ve found the sweet spot and set up not just the car but also the controller. I was loving the handing and combined with the car set ups you’ve been providing it’s been one of the best handling models I’ve played on a F1 game in a very long time. No sea sawing of the steering when finding that perfect apex has been an absolute pleasure to drive with. So yeah if you could take a quick peek please mate into the controller settings and calibration again now that V1.3 has dropped and let us know if we need to adjust any of those settings for controller would be much appreciated mate. I’m sure there’s been some changes made or otherwise I have know idea what I’m talking about and it’s simply the car set ups that need adjustments again! As always mate, love ya work and look forward to seeing and testing the new car set ups. Cheers 🤙🏻🏁
For controller users this still works better than the presets if you just jack up the ride height. Front from 28-32 rear I set back to 70 and got down until it's stable and the mid corner understeer is gone or where you like it!! I left everything else the same works great for me
I like the stability of the setups but I was finding before the patch that it would result in understeer and the front end didn’t respond enough. Do you have a way to make the front end more lively without overstepping the margin to where it’s difficult to drive?
Just take your time with it, experiment with everything including engine braking as it affects ers throughout the lap and the ers deploy and recharge is so important in this game. It also changes handling as well.
I always use specific set ups that you upload to the website, page where you can choose between time trial, quali and race set ups, when will you be posting them for this game with the new update please ?
Thank you sir. I was looking for someone to explain what settings actually do and most importantly what they mean. You checked that box, thanks. If you even go further in detail in another video you would make my day. Especially to explain what to modify if a setup does not match your driving style or when you make a change to a specific setting and what to modify elsewhere to maybe counteract or maybe 2 settings are linked together. I would like to be able to pinpoint what setting to tweak when my car behaves in a certain way. If you have already made one, my apologies because I could not find it. Thank you and have a great time with the new update.
Thanks for the kind words. I do plan on creating a monster setup video delving deep into all of the different areas and what everything does and how changes affect the car. Just trying to catch up on the setups after the handling patch then that video will be created shortly!!
I have been using your setups for many years now, but I have become more knowledgeable about creating my own setups. However, I have been confused lately about your transmission settings. I feel like you do the opposite of your explanations. For example, here you say "Now after the patch traction is also harder to find, this means it's much more likely for your rear wheels to spin up" but then you lower the on trottle differential meaning your wheels whill spin more sepratly for more ration however you lose traction when accelarating. This seems that you make the problem worse instead of better. Could you maybe clarify? Thank you for the great content btw :)
Hope I can help. Lower on throttle diff lets each wheel spin more independently of one another. This lets the wheels spin at different speeds when rounding corners. If you lock the differential, you’re forcing the wheels to spin at the same speed which leads to more of a chance of wheel spin making it harder to find traction at slower speeds. High on throttle differential setups are great for fast corners but bad for slow corners
