- Here's another Chinese Car climbing it's way to quality and value for money. A lot of chatter has come and gone throughout the years since these Chinese Manufacturers have entered our market here in the Philippines but it seems that they have cars worth chattering about.
The new GAC GS8 boasts a load of features that you would be surprised given it's price point. As of posting of this video the car is priced at 2,648,000 and when you finish the video you would definitely understand why it's worth your money and how it even comes close to it's more expensive competitors.

Not an LC replacement as this is a mid-size CUV, the J300 and Y62 are body-on-frame SUVs. This competes with the Hyundai Palisade, Kia Telluride, and Honda Passport/Pilot.
True it's body-on-frame, but it's still marketed as SUV at almost the same price for the likes of Fortuner, Montero and Everest. They just have different technical specs catering for the SUV market. but LC and Patrol are large size SUVs and are at different price point so not a direct comparison.
Toyota is in partner with GAC. So I can say the quality can be reliable.
Not to mention aside from GAC-Toyota, there is GAC-Honda and GAC-Mitsubishi

Dude, this is a mid sized SUV and you comparing and replacing with a large sized SUV? Surely, those Patrol and Landcruiser comes at a higher price compared to GS8 with larger engine, over 5 meters long. Better comparable would be Fortuner, Everest and Montero, which are all around the same price and size.

Please don’t compare with Land Cruiser . Have some respect for higher end cars and for Toyota. If you had ever owned a Land Cruiser that wouldn’t even come to your mind . This car is cheaper because 100% made in China ! And we kinda all know what this means (besides underpaid workers / slaves) . So then , what can we really expect from this car ?
