Thanks Dave, yes the bay is rich in wildlife especially birds plus the largest grey seal population in France. It's well worth a visit with St. Valery being a lovely place to stay

Absolutely wonderful ! I am surprised I wasn't there, as it is not too far from where I live (Disneyland). Baie de Somme is one of our favourite place...with Ribblehead.

A great sequence of some very capable and noisy engines, Austin. Certainly whets my appetite for some continental steam. I like the old school bell at 5:20 and the shot of the two trains passing and diverging at the end is very unique.

Thanks David, the bay of the Somme is a wonderful area for wildlife, walking and cycling with the railway being a great bonus. The old school bell was actually the warning for the crossing just behind us on a minor road

Yes, for the size of the locos they were hauling a decent load, they look heavy carriages too
