- Shell becomes meta. In the last month I’ve noticed a lot of shell bots in the game, even in champion league. I’ve even seen them in maxed out power hangars. So its about time we try out this meta shell. Both shell pilots are very descent but harpoon weapons appear to be the best. The shell really is a mini rook, but obviously not as good. Firepower is pretty good, durability is impressive, speed is descent. So lets see if the Shell really can be meta 💥

@@vincentalonzo1857yes great then more people will use it and pixonic will make diferent versions of it being more powerful costing more money to obtain then p2w people will max them out and and max out the weapons to (mk1/mk2/mk3) then ganes will be filled with those destroying everything every match and will cause player in cahmpion or diamond to farm/go down in rank to have a "fair matchmaking" causing new player to get sick and quit making the game more miserable than it already is making even more people to quit and causing us to get less updates wich will make the game fully die

It's a great counter to nether and lynx, especially with harpoon weapons.
been using the shell ever since i got it from the operation on 7.2. I still use it with flame throwers and it never disappoints me ❤
Been using Ivory Ravana ever since it came out. It's now MK3 with MK3 fatal Havoc.

I think its because the meta has changed, there isn't as many flames throwers and the only thing that's really in the meta that bypasses its shields is the explodo rockets and the ophion guns (?)

The Shell is nothing but a free almost full nuclear amplifier charge against any rockets. I run a Glacier Curie, and seeing a shell is a blessing, I get around 60 charges just form one Shell, destroying all shields simultaneously, and then the robot just half a second later. You were just lucky in the first game there was no one with any type of rockets
I've been using mine in a couple of games and I find most players run the Needle/Stake set up but I chose the Hammer/Cudgel set up because it's the perfect counter to the Needle/Stake set up. It surprised me at how well it actually did!

Yup. Currently running this general build and it does well. But waiting to see how bad the harpoon nerf will affect it.
Here is an idea for a module. Make a module that repairs all broken physical shields, but it costs 70 power cells, like the unstable conduit.
I guess it is in meta now cuz in fact Shell is a prototype of Rook, its have a shields and blast ability + you can supress enemies with legendary pilot Drew tompkins, so its like a tiny Rook, but without dash/flight ability and shield are not regenerating, so it looks like a rook of a healty man x)
A great drone for the shell is the whiteout drone, I use it and it’s a nasty combo, emp plus explosion plus the tanky shields shell runs and of you have the suppression pilot 😎👌 it’s quite effective.
Whiteout drone is deeply underrated and underappreciated...whiteout is my fav...i use it with my angler...boy, whiteout really helps and support continuously..thanks to shirt reload emp ability, whiteout drone is actually crowd control type while brawling...youa re surrounded by red guys, whiteout got your back...i think with shell it's a good combo...
Try fortifiers on this build, they also affect the harpoon weapons’ aegis shield
I tried that on the test server about a month ago it can survive tons of reaper shots

Sad to say but iv seen it in battles where players just don't push beacons or just leave tankers I think it's actualy very common where iv found myself alone or with one or two team mates left it's like players want to loose on purpose or want to sabotage your win or chance to win 🎉😂😂😂😂
i still remember the time when Shell was op and P2W/strong Shell bots would straight up rush to our main beacon and there was nothing we could've done XD
It has never really been bad, its just that a lot of OLD meta weapons that have now been nerfed have AOE and those are no longer used that much
2 things that make the shell good is how it speeds up during the ability and how it's actually pretty tanky with just its base durability
Its weakness is explosive weapons.
Without a Maxed Kestrel drone it doesn't work. Just about anything works with that drone.

Counter to that build is fenrir with mace shotguns
its becauses there are minimal counters to physical shields in meta weapons, harpoon weapons suck against physical shields and reaper cant by pass it

It's really good robot I tested with Incinerator and Scald and legendary pilot Peregrin Raine 50% ignorance of enemies defense systems

I have never removed the shell from my main hanger,but I never run the sonic weapons because I do not like them,I only run the explosive shotguns
I use the shotgun build on it but I only have the cestus and not the hammer

Don't bother with harpoons, they're being nerfed. Maybe try out sonics or bsgs.

Exactly the same.
There’s no incentive to Cups anymore so being in CL vs Master doesn’t matter to a lot of players. With the amount of cheating and insane OP P2W bots/Gear out there, tons of players drop if they see it’s not going to be an easy win. It seems to happen 3/5 battles lately.

Oh please don't buff... remember when pixo gives any bot or wep a lateral buff, they nerf it to death after some time... avalanche is a good example...sudden buff and then nerfed to death...and the latest disaster...they first buffed the glory and glory is now dead..
Pixonic will surely nerf the Shell again if they see it being used a lot by players even if its a relatively old robot. Just look at what they will do to the Glory tsk tsk tsk
