    I've worked both blue collar and white collar jobs in my career (I'm 77 years old). One thing I liked about blue collar work (I worked as a pipe fitter/furnace/AC installation) is that at the end of the day or the week you see what you accomplished. It was like finishing a piece of art--you saw what you wanted to do, you did it, and you felt proud or fulfilled for what you did. Unless you want to be a lawyer or doctor or CPA or some other such profession don't go to college. And never go to college to major in English or History or the Arts simply because you like them--unless you're rich. If you like those kind of things just do it on your own.

    • @Migwelp
      @Migwelp 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I second what you're saying about Art. That's a career for the wealthy and influential. Being a working artist is only viable in a booming economy. Working in academia is a stifling nightmare that's dominated by female ideologues. These days, art is for laundering money and tax evasion for the elites of society. Don't get lost in the idealism-you can become an excellent artisan by training on your own using free internet resources. For anyone looking at the trades, I caution them not to get taken advantage of. You must have standards and not get caught up in a race to the bottom. Balance life and work. Be present with your family. If the market is truly in need of more skilled laborers, any reasonable employer should be accommodating enough to understand that the exodus from the corporate world is driven by a need to become skilled, independent, and allergic to BS. Get after it.

      These things go in phases. 50 years ago, trade work didnt pay as well as white collar work. Now it is changing because of over saturation of white collar market. 50 years from now, to days Alphas generation will be pushing their children back into college because the pay will increase.

I've heard her vaguely endorse liberal ideas but I don't think I've seen her get a lot of pushback in those segments with the other brunette gal who she's typically on camera with. I don't think that's a negative thing, either. She's not a blatant advocate pretending to be a journalist (which breeds distrust). Not everything needs to be a game of entering and winning debates on-camera; it gets exhausting without some lightheartedness/openness to disagreement. She's also easier on the eyes lol.

    It's about time they wake up. A small portable Plumbing company of 4 guys make 300K + for the entrepreneur. Wake up kids. Master plumber 80K and a master plumber entrepreneur makes well over 300K. Same for any construction trade. I did it for decades as a Carpenter.
