Very nice flight! What you are doing is very important! Stop and go's to feel how much of a input you need to start the heli moving and how much "counter" input you need to stop it. The feel for "balancing" your heli is soo important. Take your time, have fun and continue!! Progress will come as a reward!!
Nicely done sir not easy conditions. I experienced the same yesterday, although the actual flight was only one step back you are correct re the heli feeling heavier in flight, I found it much harder to find the sweet spot on the hover. I had 7C increasing to 11C through the day and 8 gusting 15mph with my M2. Pre flight warmed batteries is the key now the autumn / winter is here. We maybe at opposite ends of the country but being at a similar progress levels in heli flying, it's great seeing your videos and learning from your experiences. Keep the videos coming 😉😉👍👍

And I myself keep my batteries warm before use in the cold I got that advice from a good friend on one of the omphobby Facebook pages it definitely helps. Glad you love the hobby as I do. The little helicopters are just harder to hover nice and stable, it’s harder to achieve a perfect level swash and 0 degrees at midstick setup
