They have released 28 albums since 1981. The legendary line up were Minouru Niihara vocals, Akira Takasaki guitar, Masayoshi Yamashita bass and Munetaka Higuchi drums RIP. In the late 80's and early 90's they released a couple of albums with American vocalist Mike Vescera. From 1992 -2000 they had Masaki Yamada (ex-Flatbacker/Ezo) on vocals. Taiji Sawada X-Japan RIP were a member in 1991-1992. From 1994 - 2000 Hirotsugu Homma (ex-Flatbacker/Ezo) played drums and Naoto Shibats bass. Since 2009 the drummer has been Masayuki Suzuki. Niihara, Takasaki and Yamashita are still playing today. Their self titled album Loudness from 1992 are probably their heaviest album. There are a live version of Firestorm on TH-cam

You Gey were heavily v influenced by British bands like Rainbow and Deep Purple, and they said they wanted to sing in English because most hard rock bands do that. It really v worked for them :)

This is how I got hearing damage. Listening to heavy metal especially from the subwoofer. Make sure all your neighbors on the block like your music selections.😀

The trigger that I got started playing guitar is this song "Like Hell". It took many years, but I was finally able to cover this song.

    Hello my fellow Danes!
I love Loudness. Saw them twice, in 1985 and 2011. Met the band at the 2011 show... They blew the roof off the places both times.
(Okay, I kind of lied... I'm from California, but my Mom's family is half French and Danish. I was named for my Danish grandfather, who I never met.)
Thank you for this, but brings back amazing memories ;)

Akira Takasaki is considered the Eddie Van Halen of Japan.
Still going strong (new album Sunburst 2022).

Akira Takasaki is not Eddie Van Halen he is simply AKIRA TAKASAKI.... they both come from the same era, and his major influence was Richie Blackmore

@@stevebaker4104 I guess that's why Akira is known as the Richie Blackmore of Japan 😂
