I got thy 2020 EX Chris Childs, & luckily since I live in Nevada We get no humidity & not too much rain or snow. I'm 48, & got back into BMX after 25 years, & it's really cool to still be able to buy the brands I relied upon on the 80's like Odyssey & Profile to name a few. I have Profile chain ring(spline driven) Cult Hawk Cranks, The Shadow conspiracy brake & Colony Bretheren Lever, BSD Swerve rear Cassette, Hazard Lite rims, but still have to overhaul the whole drive train from stock, I want Odyssey R25 forks, BSD Leezus Bars, & a Profile Stem
It must be the ocean air (combination of sun and salt) because mine is holding up well: I ride often, leave it out in the rain/snow and no rust whatsoever. I live 6,000 ft above sea level so the weather is harsh. So I assume it should be fine as long as you don't live by the ocean? I do clean it every few rides though, as it gets very dirty. Great review.
@Dr Shockter Yeah, I'd look at something else if I were you.. The red Sunday EX looks good, but it has a freecoaster, so I don't know if you want that one.. But that paint job looks sick 👍
To take the rust off get a tin foil ball, water and and a cloth, dip the tin foil ball in water and scrub against rust for a couple of mins, then dry it up with the cloth and you will get the rust off
Have you thought about clear coating it or clear powder coating it? I bought the EX raw, just for those lil touches of individuality to each one, & to the uninitiated it looks like a rust bucket on wheels, but those who are in the know, know what's up
Why did it rust? Have you had falls and was it scratched or just started to rust from being outside? I am about to acquire it and I would not like it to rust after a while
@Fufherman farfan No falls.. Any little scratch rusts.. There's a zip tie holding the brake cable. It slid down my top tube causing very small scratches in the Finnish. They were very visible.. Then those scratches got rusty overnight.. I do live near the ocean, but my old frame is raw and did not do this.. My bikes do not get left outside 👍
@@thebikehippie6562 Muchas gracias por la ayuda. Voy a tener mucho cuidado con ella. :/ Lastima que no vi tu videos antes. Si no hubiera preferido algún otro modelo. De nuevo gracias y mucho éxito al canal.

@Victor Velasco I can see the ocean right now.. The rustyness has grown on me. I really like this bike👍👍
Damn, I was about to buy this bike until I saw how easily it rusts. If you could go back in time what would you get instead?
@Dr Shockter I was stuck between this bike and the Cult Devotion.. Should have bought the Cult.. I do like my Sunday, but I don't like the rust
Full disclosure though. I do live near the ocean, so that might have something to do with it
@@thebikehippie6562 It's super humid where I live so I can almost guarantee that would happen here too lol, thanks for the response man!

@@thebikehippie6562 It might also not help that it’s in a raw finish, Sunday itself is good

@oBlansky.. Thanks for the tip.. I'll give it a try 👍

@R3v0lt_e-Vlogs No, I just left it as is.. Looks kinda cool all rusty
Beautiful bike😍 puts the scrap pile with wheels I ride to shame.
