Rabbits are not Kosher. In the wild they are scavengers and will at least be nibbling on the occasional dead "body." (Thusly, not considered Kosher. Which if some are not aware, that means those of certain religions are not allowed to eat them because they are "unclean." Although chickens will do that to, so there must be something else along with that bit to qualify for that classification. I wasn't paying a lot of attention to the whys, just the which ones, thought it'd be easier. Lol.)

Most of these videos are very cute, yes but as a bunny owner I gotta agree with some of the other comments i.e the baby one in particular. That bunny didn't want to be held. Introduce the baby and the bunny slowly, don't force bunny to meet baby! I lost it at the cat grooming the rabbit and the bunny eating with the turtles 😍😍 BUT the bunny eating the chicken shocked me considering they're herbivores. I know some rabbits are known to eat their young in the wild but domestic bunnies shouldn't have any form of meat or grain AT ALL. Tbh really surprised they even ate it. That was strange. The video put a smile on my face either way, very wholesome 💖
All herbivores eat meat or other animal products opportunistically. Giraffes and deer will lick and chew on bones, cows are known to eat baby birds that get too close, etc. The rabbit eating the meat isn't weird is what I'm saying - intentionally giving a rabbit meat, though, is pretty weird and unhealthy. I hope it's a super rare thing.
@@serenity1378es but rabbits need a strictly vegan diet because of their delicate digestive system, feeding a bunny meat or dairy will cause gut stasis and death. No one is saying a rabbit won't eat meat but that doesn't mean it is safe to give them.

There are no true herbivores. In the wild everything will eat meat under certain circumstances. This isn't a problem because if an individual of the species dies from it, that's just part of evolution. Evolution works on scales so large that even if 90% of all rabbits that ate meat died, that 10% that ate meat when otherwise they would have starved and survived to produce babies would carry the trait downward.
It's not weird for a herbivore to eat meat =/= "feed herbivores meat".

There's a few very irresponsible videos on here. The first few were super cute, but the one with the race, the one with the baby, etc, can give people the wrong impression. Bunnies do NOT do well in loud situations, they do NOT like to be held against their will (like any other animal, really...) among many other things. Gonna have to dislike it simply because of those few videos.
When I saw the rabbit eat chicken I was absolutely disgusted. Clearly these owners have done no research or they just don’t give a shit. Just knowing that poor creature probably suffered some complications makes me really upset and angry when it could have been prevented
@@TheEverythingPhobe it did not nessasarily suffer from the chicken. If it was a leftover thing, that small amount of chicken is okay, just means the rabbit will get a small amount of direarea.
Basically, if the owner found it, recorded a few seconds then took it away, it's okish. Not ideal, but no severe effects.
@@norman2.0 NO, it's not okay and you can't JUSTIFY it with "just diarrhea" or "short video". Bunnies have no way expressing their pain! Those few bites can literally be fatal (and a result of excutiating pain). I sincerely hope you're not a bunny owner!
@@dandelion9369 I meant it was okISH from a medical point of view. And a bunny can express pain through many actions such as refusal to play with toys, lack of or reduction in activity, more jumpy and general unusual behaviour.
Just because a rabbit can't speak, doesn't mean they can't convey ideas like hunger and pain. Much like you or me may use body language, rabbits will do the same.
Meat is generally not extremely toxic to them, they just can't digest it. As the chicken was prepared for human consumption its also unlikely to be carrying any disease, so the rabbit should not get sick from the germs.
Of course if the rabbit was eating full chunks of meat that would be a problem. However the chicken appeared to have been consumed by a person and therefore would have very little meat.
My conclusion was that the rabbit would be okay and only suffer minior effects form eating the chicken. I did not say that feeding it chicken was okay.

I had a bunny that used to kill mice.
....I actually had to check because I know other "herbivores" have been known to eat meat or animal parts on occasion (bovines eating baby birds, deer eating human bones - no I'm not making that second one up) and rabbits (or at the very least hares in particular) TECHNICALLY can eat meat if they really have to for their survival. They've even caught hares munching on a lynx carcass.
It's.... still not advisable to feed a pet rabbit any sort of meat deliberately. Either kidney or digestive problems are bound to happen, especially if the bunny makes a habit of it.
@@FrostyTheDragon wild bunnies also eat bugs and things in the grass, domestic rabbits don't normally do that my other concern with it is the bone in the meat can do some really really bad damage to it.

I feel pretty successful, roof over my head, food on table, no loans, and a cat that loves me. I dont have a big house, i dont have an expensive watch or buy new clothes every month. I guess success can be measured in many ways. Also my gf and i are a true duo which helps.

Bunnies are adorable, but they arent as easy as cats to have as pets. They get messy, poop constantly. They should NEVER be fed chicken!!! Rabbits are vegetarians!!! And they die mostly because of stomach issues, because they cant throw up. You can lose your healthy bunny within 24 hours if your bunny overeats and cant digest properly or eats whats not right. Other than that, amazing kind animals ❤
