When you listen to the other versions over and over, there's something about the way "Oh, round and round we go" along with the instruments makes it sound so much more foreboding.
After much deliberating on what exactly I should include in this version, I eventually decided on just the rain. I could have been fancier in places like how the voices change. A few of the things I tried didn't sound god, and after some experimenting this is the version I came up with. I think it sounds good the way I set it up. I hope and think. I miiiight make a version with stuff like glass shattering and Cathy screaming/Erlking dialogue, but that's not completely on the table. Maybe. It's a big question mark even now.
Damn this song is so good. I'm not sure if it tops Between Two Worlds for me, but it's close for me. Part of Two Worlds appeal was a bit special considering the circumstances of the Kromer fight back then and lack of player experience, so maybe it won't ever be dethroned because of that. I liked the setup of this fight and the way the song changes between phases and both bosses. And it wasn't that bad even pre-nerf. It only took me 3 tries, the first one being done late at night and under the effect of sleepy pills. The first phase felt the roughest because I kept spreading myself too thin.

Oh...so that's what that one commenter meant. There's already a version like this out there but with the extra bells and whistles in voice lines.
