This time on Dragonball Z Abridged. Cell has achieved his Perfect form, and Vegeta finally gets the challenge he deserves! Will Goku and Gohan make it out of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber in time to fix everything?

Let's just take a minute to appreciate the terrifyingly evil Cell went on Trunks.
Literally threw every moral and psychological quip at him: humilliated his father, taunted him about his master and friend's death (while calling him a coward for not doing anything about it), and then proceeds to make him realize he just made it all worse both for the past AND the new timeline Trunks (needless to say there are no more Z Warriors to defend the planet). After he's done playing with him, he tells him "hey, I just so happened to pity you so I pretended that useless transformation did something but guess what? You're an unexperienced amateur, not even your father sucks that bad to think that transformation has any use other than appearences."
Trunks, completely demoralized and realizing he's fucked up is ready to die and Cell simply thinks he's not worth the effort. Perfectly devious.

That form had one use. If Vegeta used it while charning his final flash it could work against Cell.
Or if Cell used any charged move then Trunks could counter that with his power boost.
SS1Grade3 is still as powerfull as SS2 but much slower and at this point Cell without zenaki boost is weaker then SS2.
If anything this form is the best choice for defense or for suprise attacks.

Can someone explain all the trunks and cell timelines. I am trying to understand it for a long time.
@@saketkumar4972 From what I understand, there are 4 timelines (not counting the ones in Super)
Timeline 1: (the "original" timeline) Future Trunks's timeline where Goku dies from the heartvirus.
Timeline 2: (the present timeline) The one where the events of DBZ take place.
Timeline 3: (the alternate timeline) This timeline was never shown but is an alternate version of the Android Saga where the Z fighters decide to use the Gero's emergency shutoff on 17 and 18, which Trunks takes back with him.
Timeline 4: (Cell's timeline) Trunks comes back to the Future from timeline 3 and uses Gero's emergency shutoff on 17 and 18. 3 years later Cell awakens, kills Trunks and steals the Time Machine
Bulma from the "dead Trunks" timeline is the last surviving member of the Z-Fighters, waiting for her son to get back from his time travel trip. That's just depressing.
And then you watch super and it's still pretty fucking depressing

The way the music stings is just fantastic.
I love how even TFS recognizes that Trunk's theme of "Willpower" is too cool even a parody show has to include it.
They also used Vegeta's theme in the last episode when he uses Final Flash on Cell.
And Cell's theme as well.
And Gohan's theme aswell
After having listened to Day of Fate being played by both TFS and Jonathan Young, I have to say it is one of the best songs I have ever heard. It's right up there with some of my favorite songs by Iron Maiden, Disturbed, and Metallica!
I feel like that Dbza is more than a parody show now, it’s more like a spin off series.
Cell's greatest power: his ability to break apart someone's self-esteem like a 16 year-old girl. The man has "bitching you to pieces" down to a fine art. Once Trunks had made the mistake of using an unwise battle-field technique, Cell didn't need to fight him at all, he just talked him into pieces.
Three years fighting the Androids in a future wasteland, a year spent training with his father, you'd think Trunk's self-esteem was already pretty destroyed, but no.
It was being held together by the feint hope that he could save the world, cell destroyed that hope
That is, until Gohan defines fillicide.
He must of had lessons from Bulma I'm bitching 😂

@KVAcedo27 Abridged started out with a heavier emphasis on the jokes, but I think it's evolved over time into something closer to a genuine alternative to the original. Not just FUNimation's dub, but even the actual manga. Most of these lines feel genuinely in-character.

After seven years since I wrote this comment, I would like to clarify that I no longer think that way.
For as much as I adore DBZA and all the hard work TFS has put into it, I cannot in good conscience say it’s superior to the original Dragon Ball Z.
Despite the problems I had and may still have with it, there is a reason why it’s often recognized as the greatest and most iconic anime of all time. The vision, the passion, the messages, the flair and overall feel of it. These are some of things that made it so much fun to watch back then as it is now.
If there’s anyone who understands this better than me, it’s Team Four Star themselves. DBZA is more than just a parody. It’s a love letter written by genuine fans of the source material who want nothing more than to celebrate everything that made Dragon Ball Z such an amazing anime in the first place.
With all that said, I formally retract my previous comment from years ago, for now I have a newfound appreciation for Dragon Ball as a whole.

I'd forgotten about all of the father-son bonding of the training scenes. The way Gohan comes to finally bond with his dad especially in TFS is so freakin cute. You can see how Gohan is really similar to his dad in personality when he's able to be his cheerful, kindhearted self.

I love that TFS explains Future Cell's existence and what happened to the alternate Future Trunks much better than Toei or Funimation ever did.

Yep. It's complicated, because of timelines. But it's explainable. Trunks came from a timeline that branches off from the point in time that he traveled to. If you recall the end of Android/Saga, Trunks went back to his time and destroyed the Androids as well as Cell. However, this creates another branch in the timelines. Trunks only defeated Cell because he knew of his existence in the first place, after meeting an alternate Cell in the main timeline. This alternate Cell, the Cell we're familiar with, comes from a timeline where the events of the Android Saga occur without Cell being involved. In THIS timeline, Trunks helps kill the Androids and returns to his own time, killing those Androids as well. However, no one knew of Cell's existence, because he had never shown up. So, when he wakes up and realizes that the Androids are gone, he has no choice but to travel to the main timeline. So he kills Trunks and takes the time machine. Long story short: There are two alternate futures; Future Trunks came from one, Cell came from another.

No, Cell came from an alternate Future Trunks timeline where Future Bulma had made a remote for Trunks to use to disable the androids. Once he did that, he destroyed them, after which, Cell hunted Trunks down and killed him.
What I don't get is how Imperfect Cell (with no humans absorbed) managed to kill Trunks...
At this point Trunks is waaaaay more powerful than the Androids, so even with the element of surprise, how could Imperfect Cell kill him so easily?

That was a surprisingly wholesome moment between Krillin and Vegeta. It shows that underneath it all, Vegeta doesn't absolutely hate him but they have an understanding of a strange sort haha
