- This was our very last chance to ride the Clusaz bike park (French Alps) before the winter snowfalls. The weather was next level so we didn't waste a minute and gathered up with @SURRONEXPLORE & @juladventure
Between some nifty enduro and slippery MTB tracks, we had a blast 🙌

Everytime I watch your videos, I think that no one rides these rough trail types as fast and aggressively as you do! How do you avoid damage to yourselves or the bikes with so many roots and rocks?! I take my surron on the trails, and crawl over the bad sections that you fly over! Brilliant stuff!
Thank you so much mate! On these rough and sketchy parts, I try to make myself as light as possible on the bike and be really gentle on the throttle. I guess that good suspensions make up for the rest haha 😝

Good to see that you are testing the sotion! It's the 13kw version? How do you like it?
How is it consumption wise and how many phase amps do you use compared to stock?
Yes, 13kW version, and I like it very much indeed. It's more efficient, but I'd have to try it on a closed loop in the same condition to make the difference noticeable in terms of range.
Now for the same phase amps, it's got way more torque. I went down from 460 with stock to 430A otherwise it was too much and too violent. It never overheats although I'm pulling 25kW.
The only downside is that you need to have a really good controller to tune the power delivery and throttle curve, otherwise you'll need to strap yourself to that bike haha.

Are Surrons permitted there? Lots of mtb places don't allow any ebikes cause they rip up the trails.
no law at the moment in place ...but if rider continue to ride at this speed, we will get some prohibition. Anyway, sur ron are not common in Fr.
I’d say it ok if you do it with respect. You could see we politely slowed down or paused when seeing people, exchange a few words. Besides, one week before the snow is due to cover everything for the whole winter, we can’t damage anything…

From what I remember, it was about 35kms with slightly less than 2500m of d+.
The Ultra gave up before the end (too many wheelies probably for him).
Now the 2 LB both ran 80V: mine with a 40Ah battery and the other with 45Ah. We both ended up with less than 10%.
