Or, on the phone, "She ain't here, she went to [Belk's, Junior League, yoga, the flower show, the gun range, etc.]. Or truthfully, "Huh. I don't know, I didn't even know she left the house." :D

I’m in far west Texas and the Mexican coke is sold everywhere. It definitely tastes the most like the original bottles of coke. If you want to pick out a native Texan from a transplant- all ya gotta do is hear us ask and reply about cokes!!

Angel Bulldog Oh, I could never go without makeup. I both love applying it and getting to be creative & artistic. I always have lipstick on.i don’t have any skin problems (only 33). I’ve followed an extremely rigorous skin care regimen since I was 14. I look nowhere near my page. People say I look mid-20s! It’s perfectly fine to wear makeup. You just gotta make sure you remove all of it completely, mild chemical peel or heavy duty exfoliant, cleanse, tone, 3 serums, and 2 moisturizers, with spaced apart treatments of other types. I think it’s more about taking care of your skin than it is not using makeup.

Love these videos & the beautiful Southern accent! As someone from Ireland I recognize quite a few of the sayings over the series. A lot of Irish that emigrated to Southern states obviously left some influence down through the generations!

Yup...it's skeeter season. Since I'm whiter than flour, they just LOOOVE chomping on me! And ants! OMS! Ants will sneak up on ya. The little piss ants are the worst. You could be just sitting on the swing and they'll swarm you. First thing you know, you got bunches of those little devils chewing holes in your hide. You know why they call them piss ants, right? "Piss, that damned ant just bit me!" Yeahhhh, I'll stay inside. Hugs, ladies!

Annette Fine Virginia is a southern state, the south western part is more "southern" than the rest and where I'm from but the whole state is a southern state. I'm glad to finally see my state represented in a video!
Sierra Virginia may be a Southern state geographically but their culture except for a few small towns are not. I’m from Alabama living in Virginia for over thirty years and they aren’t the South I know. Especially in big cities.
My grandma was not Southern, but she prepared her funeral clothes and tell everyone, "this is the clothes I wanna be buried in." Lol
I paused an old episode of Designing Women on DVR to watch this. Kinda fit right in. LOL And several of these I've written down in my head to use this weekend. I like if I was any finer, I'd be twins. But my go to is I'm finer than frog hair. hehe

Y’all crack me up! They say Irish people speak English, but it’s on another level. Southerners are the same way. We are currently stationed in San Diego, where our 15 year old, was pretty much raised. But I’m from Ms and my husband is from Tx. I told my son to “stop horsin around” and he asked me what that meant. 😂 I really don’t think twice about the statements I say, until I get a look and the person I’m talking to says “what”. I've always loved your channel but I was super excited when I saw you had Patricia on this episode. I love southern charm and she is one of my favorites. I was visiting Charleston one day and found her house. I was walking around it trying to peek over the wall (not being a stalker or anything! lol) and just as I walked by her gate, she came out! She was running late for a dinner party but was very gracious and took the time to pose for a picture with me and my daughter. Whitney then came out and we spoke to him but I felt that I had imposed enough on them so I didn't ask for a picture with him. My daughter and I were so excited.
She's incredibly rich but incredibly gracious and kind. I was very impressed with her as a human being.

When I hear some of your sayings, I just crack up. My mom was born and raised in Texas and I can't believe what comes out of my mouth at times. Johanna Lilly I hear ya, Johanna. I only own 1 Piggly Wiggly (I'm big on the pig) t-shirt. I picked it up in a local thrift store here in NC about 3 years ago. I wore it to Edisto Beach that summer and a lady asked me where I got it. She said they were from Wisconsin and they had Piggly Wigglys up there, so she was wondering if I was from there, too. All hopes were probably dashed when she heard my country accent. LOL!😂😂 I only remember The Pig being in SC and had no idea they made it all the way to Wisconsin.
