@kmason685 Couldn't agree more. And it's not just what she said but how she delivered it. So calm and eloquent. Yet, beneath this elegant facade is a cold-blooded apparatchik.
My favorite seen in the movie, AND one of my favorite quotes EVER! "Always SMILE when you walk into a room, Dear. It relaxes others... And it lifts the features of the face!" Amanda (played by Ann Bancroft) in Point Of No Return (1993). :)
Saw this movie by accident when it came out, the movie I wanted to watch was sold out, knew nothing about this movie and it turned out to be an unbelievable surprise. 😮. Never forgot it.
This movie was an inspiration to my life. I can say it save it. It teached me to thrive in life when i was married with a monstruous narcissist. Im a swan now
My brother and sister-in-law were selected for a random search. I had to hold their toddler and infant while they were being searched. The toddler watched in horror, as her parents were standing like starfish and being patted down. Scared they were being harmed she ran under the ropes, towards my brother (her dad). They started screaming to my brother, “do not pick up the child”. In a panic, knowing he would pick her up, I ran after her. I grabbed her, before he could pick her up....While bending down, to pick her up I whispered, “I never did mind about the little things”! He smiled at me and immediately burst-out laughing, my sister-in-law had no idea why he was laughing; but, she started laughing too. My niece soon noticed both of her parents were laughing and she too started laughing...the expressions on the airport worker’s face.... Priceless! 🤔🤣
You broke the tension. That was nervous laughter and relief. I like your screen name. I question everything, too The last time I was searched was in February 2017.
In my opinion, this is the best version of the original Nikita. Bridget Fonda totally nailed the character. Her performance is so natural and compelling: "i never did mind about the little things..."
I love this movie. This is the only finishing school for all the delinquents in Sydney needed, in the 90s When The Assassination came out, hehehehe. God Brigette Fonda was so good in this! It's also a movie about the mores of reinvention and redemption.
This entire movie has such great meaning of ones self ability..... Never judge a book by it's cover it's the deep hard ability she endured that as always withtheoroper leadership will always surface to see you onethete elite .....te unique, ..... remember that little sisters
Going through it now as my music and audience is growing. This is such an impactful scene. It always stayed with me. wonderful training to overcome the pettiness that we face in life. Saved on mt favorites! 🙌🏽
Yaaaasss. I must be nearing the end of my life because lately, I can't help my life flashing before me during my waking and sleeping moments. This movie was EVERYTHING to me. I think I watched it a gazillion times on Canal+. I secretly wished I could end my wretched life(I was a moody child)and wake up in a new one. Still wretched but: in better clothing and with a purpose instead of being useless and a disturbance. I used to think to myself: I could forego real connections with people. As much as I enjoy them; I have always been a loner. And when I heard that line: I never cared for the little things in life....Fantastic! It resonates with me to this day! Reminds me of a quote. I forgot by whom. 'Teach us to care not to care'. If I can learn that; I'd make the perfect assassin.
I use this as a comment and an addendum and an* in speaking with so many people over these decades I tell them to smile a little smile and say I never did mind about the little things
Amanda gives Maggie some "poet to balance the warrior" and ultimately saves her life later. Yet there was an irony about this in the scene where that truism manifests. She was accepting murder, to save her skin.
Ruben Mariciuc that's what most men want. So if a woman is too focused on her career it's a problem. And if she's too focused on her family it's a problem. Women can't win.
I totally agree... I loved Rick Moranis and he too pretty much quit to concentrate on his kids. I don't blame them for their choices, but as fans we can still lament the loss of their talent to great films that will never feature them.
"Belief is half of being", {point of no return} means that once you truly believe in something, you've crossed a significant threshold, committing yourself to a path where turning back is no longer a viable option; it signifies a strong conviction that propels you forward with unwavering determination. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
debra beth biwer-maddox I actually think the person who answered your question didn't understand you were asking if La Femme Nikita (the TV show) came from Point of No Return. Both the TV show and Point of No Return came from the original French movie Nikita (1990) aka La Femme Nikita in the states.
At the end of "Wanted," they play a song called "all the little things." Who wrote it? Bridget's husband Danny Elfman. Wonder if this movie is where they got the song title from....
Does anyone remember the process she went through to become proper? Like I swear there were scenes in the movie where she was being taught all the etiquette. In the movie I watched it jumps from here to her having learned everything and behaving….. idk maybe I’m crazy
Everyone should watch this scene. One of the best life lessons ever.
I thought I was the only one who thought this about this scene! This has helped me in tense moments of my life! 😏
@kmason685 Couldn't agree more. And it's not just what she said but how she delivered it. So calm and eloquent. Yet, beneath this elegant facade is a cold-blooded apparatchik.
Anne Bancroft. She was ravishing her entire life. RIP.
SunBunz agreed - such a lady
Mel Brooks was the luckiest SOB in shoe leather.
Coof! Helen Mirren.
And a great asmr voice too.
This proved to save her ass.
I still quote this line. I really like this movie. Anne Bancroft was phenomenal throughout her career.
Say it,"The smile and the sentence. "-saved her life.
You're welcome.
My favorite seen in the movie, AND one of my favorite quotes EVER! "Always SMILE when you walk into a room, Dear. It relaxes others... And it lifts the features of the face!" Amanda (played by Ann Bancroft) in Point Of No Return (1993). :)
+Catpsyche Mine too.

I love when Bridget turns to walk away and Anne grabs her and growls. She knew she better stay it after that.
Thanks
How epic was this casting
That line does save her life later when it "puts at ease" Harvey Keitel, The Cleaner.
Every woman should learn this. Genuinely, this could save your life, or at least greatly improve your chances in a sticky situation.
Because we r more powerful than we r esteemed.
how?
This movie was an inspiration to my life. I can say it save it. It teached me to thrive in life when i was married with a monstruous narcissist. Im a swan now
I never did mind about the little things ❤
I like the way Anne Bacroft says “SAY IT”! More than piper laurie said it to her daughter, in “Carrie”. Lol
ANNE BANCROFT SUCH A GREAT ACTRESS!
agreed she is a great actress
Just may be favorite scene ever.
I for one wish I had had etiquette classes. Not to become am assassin, but to have made better impressions whilst young.

Some One Thank you.
Love this scene. Favorite scene ever. Thanks for posting....
Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio and Anne Bancroft. Classy and yet tough. Great line.
I don't usually like action movies but I always loved this one. Phenomenal actors and interesting storyline.
This lady's wisdom reminds me of my Dorm mother ..........like finding a rose in a garbage can .........
In my opinion, this is the best version of the original Nikita. Bridget Fonda totally nailed the character. Her performance is so natural and compelling: "i never did mind about the little things..."
One of my all time favorite movie quotes
And a valuable lesson
RIP Anne Bancroft
This is an amazing movie.
"Some Moon to go with your Sun..A poet to balance the warrior"
I love that line.

Self control is generally preferable; at the very least, you're acting with purpose. Classic movie, aged fairly well.
I love how the line saves her later
Bridget was playing the lady like she was soft. Grandma turned it up real quick!
Going through it now as my music and audience is growing. This is such an impactful scene. It always stayed with me. wonderful training to overcome the pettiness that we face in life. Saved on mt favorites! 🙌🏽
I always loved this movie for some reason. I feel both characters deeply.

I like " teach us to care not to care" more so than the other saying.
But then u could end up on Easy Street during Mardi Gras and have to hide a huge gun from the only man who loved u right.
"I never did mind about the little things."

bridget fonda is awesome in this scene, she is such a good actress, too bad she won t play anymore after getting married and having babies

Lyn Rains yeah when Diane Keaton finally flipped out about the well running dry. I would've flipped out as well. I have flipped out like that before.

Justlooking Yes she does.

This film AND La Femme Nikita are remakes of the film Nikita by Luc Besson. It's a french film from the early '90s.
Me neither
Bu filmin tamamını nereden izleyebilirim
In training - working towards BA1P0
better version of nikita if i may say so
Well that was awkward 😕😒
That was a bad remake of Luc Besson' s 'La Femme Nikita':

IMHO, as far as remakes go, this is one of the best.
