Such an inspiring and iconic project .Some fools commenting on fire are not aware of something known as sprinkler system and they have more hazardous stuff stocked inside their homes.
With Japan suffering with this heat wave they should look into this. Actually all of the rest of the world needs to start implementing these buildings.
Return to monke... ... Serious question btw...yeh they will have pruning...but how will they handle the moisture that the soil will accumulate over time, as well as the weight of the biomass that will inevitable be growing. And how they will prevent tree roots from going places they shouldnt? And the bird drops...and the insects like ants, wasps and mosquitoes? Can some of those plants attract plagues? Will they have to use pesticides regularly?...so many questions...
Such great innovative architecture, inspiring and needed so badly. One MAJOR problem -- this building is for the super-affluent ... top-down solutions will not help those who need it. It would be amazing if this was an affordable housing project or a public building or something that was meant for the community as a whole. I hope the project goes well and that next time they build for the people, ground-up.
I do wonder what would happen in the lightening storm though? Can someone tell me? And where do plants eventually do Go to die? an oak will grow horizontally if not competing with other trees? And vertically can easily reach 12 metres within 30 years? Is this natural really? Or just pretty?
I'd be concerned about lightening strikes and falling branches. Trees attract lightening. Any building is susceptible to fire and these are damp trees, not dry forests in a desert so fire wouldn't concern me. Attracting lightening is a definite possibility, where does the root structure go?

It looks asian in design.
But then it wouldn't be fair to people who suffer from allergies.
I love this project and Stefano Boeri! Architetto geniale!
This is so beautiful
People will be blessed who live here ❤️❤️❤️

Francesco ma stai zitto te che sei solo invidioso di cosa è diventato Milano rispetto al resto d’Italia
@@gregoriocecchi1511 invidioso di una cloaca? Evidentemente non conosci Milano.
Fantastic! I love them! Great design and upkeep.
quite a nice job to prune here in terms of garden maintenance of course.

VC Creative me to
True love to life .
I can see fires being a very valid concern, but the people worrying about wildlife really need to get a grip.
I’m sure there’s already a sprinkler system in the building, just extend it to cover the outside too

I would love to open my own company specialised in this type of products!
I wonder if this would even be possible in the US due to stringent fire codes...
Have fun with the insects
