Absolute beginner, first time user. Once you have weeded it and it is still back to front, then how do you get it onto off there and facing around to put on the shirt?
Great video. I probably shouldn’t admit this, but I was putting the vinyl in the Cricut with the shiny side faced up. Right now, I’m using my Cricut to add a textured design to the top of spandex for a costume.
I'm using glossy sportflex. So I did the same thing because both sides are shiny, and he shows the color side up. Ugh! It didn't really cut it though so I didn't waste anything.
I have watched several videos using the Sport Flex, and all have instructed to place the shiny side down. Both sides are shiny! How do you tel the difference? I used 3 rolls and they are now wasted.
I also had a hard time deciding what side to put down. I was working with the sky blue color and trie both ways. Then after wasting a lot of the sport flex, it wasn’t cutting all the way through. I cleaned the blade with foil, selected “sport flex” iron vinyl and selected “more” on the pressure, yet it barely cut through it? I could use some advice? Thanks
OH I cannot wait for my sport flex I am sure I am going to love it. My daughter is a cheerleader and volley ball player so I will be sports flexing a lot for the team
Make sure you are using it properly by placing it shiny side down on the mat, setting your machine to the sport flex specific cut setting, and maybe use more pressure if your blade is not new :)
This video is SO HELPFUL! I still have issues with when I remove the "transfer" the iron on material is "crinkled". What am I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated:) Thanks!
Thanks for the info; this material doesn’t stick well even to the strong grip mat and it didn’t cut with the default iron-on setting even though my knife has only cut 4 projects... ugh
essemcee i bought this by accident 😂😂 i saw black and just picked up and i had the same problem i was like omg , but i just used painters tape and taped down the tops
I can tell you what happened when I used it... it sucked. I was making my husband a graphic tshirt for his birthday, and went through *3* tshirts. I have a regular heat press, vs one of the cricut things. Mine has a hinge, and I pull it down and it presses without having to pick up and move it into multiple areas. I didn't realize you needed parchment paper topper... figured that out after the first failure where the PLASTIC peel away stuck to the iron when it popped up. Then I used a teflon sheet (like parchment, but not a one use item), and this time the letters did not stick. They peeled off the cotton. I tried with 2 other tshirts, peeling the plastic back both in warm and cold conditions. The final one that "kind of" worked was peeling it back cold. some not essential flourish peeled away with the plastic. I bought this stuff by mistake as it was on sale. My bad. I am back to using the Every Day Iron On. I don't do much sport/yoga pant/lycra stuff... This is a no-go for me.
Any suggestions? I used this last night in the green. I had a hard time when ironing to get it to stick to the fabric. When I tried to peel back, the sports flex was not on the fabric. Any Suggestion?
make sure you peel this material COLD. Allow it to fully cool before peeling the transfer sheet off. Also, make sure you are using a good heat press, we recommend the Cricut EasyPress Mini: amzn.to/2zvjW9D
I know this is a video that was posted a while ago but I am very thankful that you all have published this on TH-cam because it's helping me soooo much as I'm new to my cricut experience! I was wondering though as I just got my cricut explore 3 a few weeks ago & I'm noticing with all of the different vinyls I've tried so far (including some sport flex that I purchased for a project in want to do for a coworkers son) is cutting all the way thru to my mats. Is there a setting that I can try using to reduce that from happening? Your video shows that yours cut the vinyl itself but not the transfer paper that was on the vinyl so I know it can be done I'm just getting a little discouraged (I'm a little of a perfectionist when it comes to my crafts).
When you are ready to make your design, right underneath the mat graphic on your left side, is a little slide button that you can make it go to the right, and then the mirror is on. Hope this helps!
So frustrated!!! I just ruined a roll of this stuff watching this video. I specifically wanted to see which way to cut it. I think you should edit your video. It doesn't make sense that you did it color side up.

Love how quick and straight to the point your videos are without half the content in sales pitches!
THANK YOU for a 5 minute video with clear instructions!!
You're welcome!
I'm so glad you show actual step-by-step instruction and not a lot of chatter I don't need to know now.

How sweet! Thank you so much for your kind words. We're so glad we could help, Megan!
Thank you for making this so easy to follow and not lengthy
Thank you for watching and commenting!
Ok because you do short, to the point instructions... I'M SUBSCRIBING NOW! Thank you!

I read somewhere that on the sportflex, one side looks "bubbled" and that side goes up! It's working for me right now!
@@maryellencomerford2601 It really should say colored side down! I think white might be the only color that would be hard to decipher.

Debi stewart I have a Silhouette Cameo and guessing you have a Cricut?? Try Mrs. Rita to the Rescue.
This is exactly what I was looking for!! Thank you so much for doing this tutorial.
THANK YOU SO MUCH. This video was just what I needed.

Accidentally picked up this instead of everyday iron on can i still use this one with cotton shirts?
Hi! It could be used on a cotton wool tshirt? thanks
I had no idea there was a right and wrong side and was super confused. Thank you!
Sure thing!! Here's a great beginner HTV video with lots of helpful information: th-cam.com/video/Md-X0arZnqg/w-d-xo.html
Thank you Tanner. I feel much more confident to use this now. Wouldn’t want to ruin my uniform shirts.
You're so welcome!! You can do it, Maribel!
I did it! TY
Thank you for showing the entire process!

How do you apply more pressure?? I’m also having this issue
Can I use a regular heat press instead of the cricut one?

I know it's made for tech fabric, nylon and polyester, but what happens if you put SportFlex on a normal cotton shirt?

I know it's not for cotton but was wondering if it can be used for cotton shirts? Or will it end in disaster?
It won't end very well haha! We've tried it before and it doesn't go so well!
Could it be used with CEA2?

Do you have to have a cricut press? Or can you use an iron?
We used an iron. It worked very well. Great tutorial.
I have 65 polyester and 35 cotton joggers. Can I use sports flex? If so could I do a layer with glitter htv writing over the sports flex?
Help! It isn’t sticking to the shirt 😢 I don’t understand what I could’ve done wrong but I followed the exact instructions
Can this vinyl be used on 100% cotton ?
Can I use this on a poly/cotton hoodie blend?
Got to get me some of that sports flex and try it! Thanks Tanner for the inspiration!

thank you so much! I have a workout channel and a fitness blog. I can not wait to make branded t-shirts!!! Tahnk you for your how too!
I bought some of this iron on and was unable to use it with my press it got up to 355 degrees and wouldn’t stick….. what can I do?
I used it on leggings but it kind of burned a little. Any idea why? The temp was 300 for 30seg, then I tried 300 for 15 and same resutls :(
This video is amazing! I’m making my guy tribe swim shirts, and now it’ll be a breeze! Thanks!
You're welcome!
Mine keeps cutting though the whole vinyl and front film
Anyone use an iron instead of a heat press? Did it come out good? Any tips?
Very Nice!!!
Thank you!
I am trying to apply it on a 100% cotton shirt and it won’t stick. Do you know any tips or tricks?
I don't think it can be used for cotton
did you measure how big you wanted the designs to come out or did you just wing it
Hey Tanner...can you use a Teflon sheet in place of the parchment?
Sylvia Done of course!!
Love love these ideas, can’t wait for it to be available in the UK
Thank you!
I am going to add my # to leggings for my clients! This is exactly what I need as a PT who wants to brand my clothes! Thank you!
Great idea!
Christmas pajamas!
Those would be great to make!
Love it ! I can’t wait to open my sport flex rolls and start creating.
Can't wait to see what you'll make!
Do you put it on regular transfer tape ? That's the part that i'm missing
Sindy Bolanos there is no “transfer tape! That’s why HTV has to be mirrored
Thank you !!

Hi - love your videos! Can I use sportflex iron-on vinyl on 100% stretch cotton?

Yay!

The sport flex iron on is the worst. How does anyone weed this? It looks easy when you do it but a frustrating and agonizing experience!
