This video makes me want to try this. Crafting on a budget If. With my luck the last one is always the best with no more material lol. This way even with errors I may make are doable and worth giving it a shot. Thank you!!!!
Your voice sounds so much like Mr Crafty Stax, LOL! Thank you so much for such a great tutorial! I don’t have room for a heat press beyond the Cricut Easy Press so I really appreciate your focus on how to get the best results with that tool. 🙏
Thanks for the kind compliment! I'm in the same boat as you: I don't have room for a full size heat press in my home, and I think that an EasyPress is more than enough for HTV. I want to show people that they can get great results with this handy machine!
Great tutorial. I had not heard of strip flock so I will definitely try some out with my puff because I’ve had the same results with that white puff on my StarCraft heat press
Thanks Nikki! StripFlock Pro is a serious lifesaver when you're working with puff vinyl. Check out the link in the description - its sold in a wide variety of colors at Heat Transfer Warehouse. I hope it works out for you!
Great tutorial with great tips! I just got some Siser Easy Puff HTV & now I feel good about pressing it, I’ve seen some horrible reviews online & I was worried about trying this but now I’m excited to try!
@mahoganybrown thanks for the question...I recommend Siser StripFlock Pro because you can layer on top of it. There may be other types of flock that can be layered, but I haven't tested them and I can't offer a recommendation.
Hi, thanks for your comment. Generally you should wait 24 hours to wash after pressing puff vinyl. Turn the garment inside out and wash in cold water with a mild detergent. You can tumble dry on low heat or hand the garment to dry. Avoid using fabric softener. Good luck!
With the puff alone, (Siser, WALAKut & FashionFlex), I never get lifting. When using StripFlock under puff, It is crucial to make sure the StripFlock is well adhered. I have never gotten lifting of puff off the StripFlock, but I have had one instance of StripFlock lifting at the corner after laundering. Don't be afraid to over-press StripFlock. You can press it for nearly the full recommended time, and then press puff HTV on top of it for the puff's full recommended time.
Interesting! All my puff vinyl musst be put SHINY SIDE DOWN because the shiny side is the carrier. So shiny side down, mirror the design, cut, harvest, than press! How could it make sense to cut it from the shiny side? Cricut can’t even cut through the complete vinyl! So that’s why it won’t work. That’s what I learned by using puff vinyl myself. At 04:01 it’s written in the screen “place shiny side down”, but haven’t you told it vice versa when you explained it?
Hi, sorry for the confusion. In this video, all of the puff vinyl I use has a matte carrier, and the matte side must face the cutting mat. At the 04:01 mark, I am referring to Siser StripFlock Pro, a different type of HTV that I use as a base layer for the puff designs. StripFlock Pro has a shiny carrier sheet. I hope that explains it!
Thanks for such a concise tutorial!
Thank you! The only source I found that said how to change the temp when using an Easy Press!

Thanks for watching! Good luck with your puff vinyl project. Don't forget to test press a small sample. You'll avoid wasting material!

Love the video! What are the care instructions (washing) for puff vinyl shirts? Thanks.

Yes, that's totally what we recommend
Where do you buy your puff vinyl? The supply store I use only had Siser and no purple shades available
Hi Kryshana! I get Siser Puff from Happy Crafters - Here's the link: shrsl.com/47bl2

@SniptoIt I'm embarrassed 😳 your voices sounded so similar at first, but then I went to his channel, and I could tell the difference, haha
