He truly does improvise his set. He's a genius.

We've crossed paths a lot ever since, but Dude is a musical and comic genius, and just an incredibly delightful, positive person to be around. Can't speak highly enough about him. Everybody needs more Reggie in their life, including you!

He's from everywhere. He was born in Germany. His dad was an American military officer, who married a French woman, and as a kid he lived in various places in Europe before they settled in America. The American accent he does is the real one (as far as anyone can tell!). Maybe moving from country to country as a kid gave him that ability to "become" whoever he needs to be in a situation. Often he switches from one language to another in mid-sentence, but it's hard to tell which languages he actually speaks and which ones he's faking.
I can not even begin to describe how excited I am for you guys to listen to Reggie Watts. Please please watch his special "Why is Shit so Crazy?" It's pure gold

Basically what Reggie does is he goes to these prestigious events where all these pretentious people try to talk all fancy, but ain't really saying anything, well he goes there and satirically trolls them.
Reggie Watts is pure flow state. He twists language and meaning into a pretzel. He becomes incomprehensible whenever he wants to. He disrupts anyone trying to make sense of what he is saying. He creates mediums without messages and the audience is left to let go and travel with him. Huge respect for him as he has pushed us into completely new territory. There is no one like him and it isn't even close.
This was great. Hope to see more of Reggie on here. I also wonder if this is enough to make you curious about the European Live Beatbox Looper Battle scene from 2017-2019. There were some pretty insane performances that came out of those shows.
